Pool

I will break my review down into multiple points.
We originally booked Phuket orchid and was transferred to this hotel without my knowledge or prior communication. I only found out when incidentally I was trying to contact hotel and it said it was closed for renovations. I only booked this hotel as we wanted one with water slides. I’d say it’s a 3.5/4 star. During our stay we had to move rooms from 1103/4 due to water leak- we also spotted 2 cockroaches and let reception know. We then moved to 1116/7 and on 23 August we had no water in bathroom or toilet due to leak in the area. 

Housekeeping is okay. They don’t clean thoroughly with detergents and cotton buds etc not replenished.

Location:
The location of this resort is quite central to Kata Beach. It takes around 8-10 minutes to walk to the beach- you come out of the hotel and take a left and then the first right, it’s a very busy beach.

Outside the hotel on the left is a food night market that opens daily. To the right you get food/ice cream/pancakes stalls at night and there is an Ibis night market further down.

The hotel has a car park for cars and moped- we hired a car- going rate around 900 baht per day for saloon with £100 deposit.

Food
We booked breakfast at the hotel, and they had noodles/soup/fruit/toast/croissabt/cinnamon whirl/fried eggs/eggs/cereal/juices. I wouldn’t say it’s the best breakfast we’ve had and after a couple of days we didn’t bother waking up for it.

Also as there were pork items so close to each other, I’m not convinced on halal- maybe hotel should put vegetarian and halal away and more choice. 

On the roads there are stalls that sell halal kebabs/street foods etc at night.

Rooms:
We had 2 interconnected pool side rooms which is ideal with kids. The rooms had 2 sun loungers and a table outside, as well as a clothes drying rack. Access to the pool is via big sliding doors and there are blackout curtains.

There is a mini fridge in the room as well as mugs and glasses and a kettle. There is also a hair dryer, tissue box and toiletries in large refillable bottles. There is no iron in the room.

There is wardrobe space with 10 hangars and 2 gowns, slippers, a beach bag and 2 umbrellas. There is also a safe in the room.

The sockets are such that you can use UK 3 pin and normal 2 pin devices in room.

There is a TV that has no English channels, mostly Arabic and Thai.

Towels for bathroom and beach are provided daily.

Laundry
We did our laundry outside, there is a place outside the hotel, take a left and first left into a hair salon. 60 baht per kilo.

Cosmetic treatments 
There was a hair salon around 10 mins walk on main road (right side of hotel), where I had my long hair permanently straightened for around £40. It’s a pink salon before Mr Khans restaurant and has a tour stall outside.

My daughter had her teeth cleaned and whitened at a dentist nearby called new smile clinic.

Bathroom
The bathroom is spacious and has a sliding door with no lock. It has a toilet and large shower with bench inside. There is a handheld shower and a ceiling shower. Ventilation via fan. The sink is outside the bathroom in the entrance to your room, but we got used to this- you just have to put towel under sink otherwise your room floor is wet every time someone uses sink. The hotel should put bath mats here to avoid accidents. 

Entertainment
There is no entertainment, but a gym and kids club on site. No spa or sauna etc.

Great if you need water slides

Pamookkoo resort is the most terrible hotel I’ve ever seen in my life. I think the owner just interested to get money from people and don’t provide anything to the customers. We came to check in and they just said to find another hotel and don’t check in. Are you serious??? Where can I find 2 rooms at good hotel same day??? Everything is booked out. Hotel didn’t have any water for 2 days in a row. No shower, no toilet, nothing… They brought bus with toilets but with no soap, no tissues… And this is Asia, place where you should be very careful. In the morning on the 3rd day we had water… only cold water! With no any apologies that they don’t have hot water. They don’t try to do anything for people who stay here. The only answer is “If you don’t like - go and find another hotel”. Sorry but this is not acceptable at all!!! This is the hotel responsibly to accommodate people, find different hotels for their stay.
During this 2 days with no water they provided free dinner for everyone but there was only couple of dishes. No choice at all. We went to eat to the restaurant outside as couldn’t find any food at Pamookkoo restaurant during dinner. 
The breakfast is also very very poor. 
We travel a lot around all the world but never saw anything like this hotel. 
Lucky we had only 4 nights in here but some people came for over one week. Everyone is very disappointed.
Can’t recommend Pamookkoo to anyone at all!

Terrible hotel

First of all would like to thanks to this person ‘Aya’ a very hospitable and kindness ,very caring woman nice place to stay so relaxing, peaceful and beautiful place recommend to visit and stay for sure will come back in this hotel 😌🏝️😍😍😍

I love Phuket

All thanks to Ms. Aya’s help, she really made sure that we had a comfortable and fanstastic stay experience! I highly recommend this place, anything just look for Ms. Aya and she will never fails to attend your requests and concerns. Had a Great experience with a  best service!

First time,I check in this hotel thank you for the great and fabulous assist by Ms. Aya she is awesome definitely we will come back again and meet this great Women, and for the hotel rooms was so clean and wonderful, break fast was delicious all food was amazing 💯 Recommend.🫡🫡
