Pool

Almost nobody speaks well English at reception. They do not have anybody strong to help carrying the luggage to the room. They do not have enough space or chairs to lie down around the pool. The people at the reception are not helpful and polite. The distances mentioned in your site to the famous locations like Patong or Kalim beach are a lie, you cannot reach those place in such a short time. I stayed here for 6 nights and I asked for water, because I was sick and they wanted to charge me again for one glass of water.

The worst hotel ever

Firstly, this hotel is NOT a resort. The word "Resort" is used without much context when describing hotels in Phuket. If you are planning a retreat and seek resort amenities please do thorough research on the hotel first. 

This hotel has no 24 hour room service, reception or international movie channels- which are basic amenities of a "Resort". I also had concerns with the lack of chlorine in the pool, I did not see anyone testing the water while I was there. 

The location is isolated from shops, cafes, bars or any amenities. It's also too far to walk to any amenities, there is also no safe footpath to attempt this- You literally have to walk on a main road just to get to a 7-11. Which would not have been as much of an issue if this hotel actually provided some "Resort" amenities. 

Some Pros: 

As the hotel is located on a massive hill, so if you book a room with a view you will be treated every morning and evening with a view. There are also rooms with direct pool access. 

The rooms are also very spacious and the staff are extremely caring and will go out their way to ensure your stay is pleasant.

In summary if they dropped the word "Resort" from their name it would set a more realistic expectation and allow them to compete more fairly in the category they are actually in.

Nice Hotel but Not a "Resort"

The hotel is beautiful. Its away from the madness of Phuket and really peaceful, and only 5 mins by taxi to the centre.  Best of both worlds. Fabulous rooms and excellent facilities.  We had a direct access to pool room which was the best I've ever seen. wonderful decor and furnishings  The staff were happy and charming. Wasn't impressed by the food at all. Breakfast ran out of choices by 9.00 am and wasn't replenished.  The main menu was boring if you dont eat fish
 

Loved this place

I went with my boyfriend to celebrate my birthday.
The hospitality was very kind.
I really enjoyed the quiet and relaxed atmosphere and this is a reason why I gave 5 point!
The weak point is, here don't have a doorman or bellman. Could be more nice if have!

The restaurant food was nice. Even the breakfast buffet was small, but I enjoyed it! More than anything, the brownie that you gave me as a birthday cake is super delicious!!! 

Also prepared a surprise event from my boyfriend requested prepared so well!

남자친구랑 제 생일 기념으로 다녀왔어요. 서비스도 친절하고, 무엇보다 조용하고 릴렉스한 분위기가 너무 좋았어요. 

식당 음식도 맛있고, 조식 뷔페가 작은 규모지만 알차고 잘 먹었네요. 무엇보다 생일 케이크로 주신 부라우니가 정말 맛도리..! 

남친이 준비해준 깜짝 이벤트도 너무 잘 준비해주셨습니다!

If you want relax environment, you should come here!

The reservation I made through Booking was rejected and when we arrived at the hotel, we had to pay a price many times higher than the price we received. (3 nights total 17.400 bht) Since we had nowhere to go, we had to accept it and stayed. We did not want anything to get in the way of our honeymoon holiday, but the hotel does not offer many facilities to its guests. It was around evening when we arrived, but there wasn't even a bellboy. We didn't want to have a woman at the reception carry our suitcases, but I carried one of them and I couldn't take the other one away from her. She wanted to help. The restaurant closes at 20.30. For the first time in my life, I see a hotel restaurant that closes at 20.30. The menu consists of 80% pork and fish, and beef only hamburgers. Breakfast was not enough. The location is a bit far and taxis are extremely expensive. There are two free shuttles at 10.00 and 14.00 to Patong beach but unfortunately they do not return. When I asked the reason, the business owner wanted it that way.

I would have stayed in nicer places for these prices, that's for sure, but they didn't leave me any other choice and kept the confirmation of my online reservation until the last day, and instead of confirming, I stayed at a much more expensive rate.

I highly suggest them to extend the time of kitchen closing, more breakfast options, menu with different meat options, free transfer with round,

Not a 5 star hotel

There are a total of 74 rooms at Marina Gallery Resort -KACHA- Kalim Bay. The establishment offers Wi-Fi internet connection on-site. Travellers will appreciate the 24-hour reception. Unfortunately, there are no accomodation units where visitors can ask for a cot for the little ones. The car park may be useful to those arriving by car. Guests can easily get to the airport thanks to the shuttle service available. Some services may be subject to additional charges.
