Chile Travel Advice

Entry requirements differ by country. The Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office issues country specific travel advice including Health, Visa and Vaccination requirements.

You can access the FCDO advice for Chile at https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/chile

Entry requirements:

  • All travellers should familiarise themselves with the entry rules for Chile before travel.
  • Chile currently in Alert Level 1, review entry requirements in Spanish and in English.
  • Additional mandatory COVID-19 requirements for passengers arriving from China.

Entry requirements for children:

  • Children under 18 years of age are not subject to COVID-related entry requirements.
  • Review documents for children under 18 years old on the Chilean Ministry of Foreign Affairs website.

Passport validity:

  • Passport should be valid for the proposed duration of your stay. No additional period of validity required.

Visa requirements:

  • General: British passport holders visiting Chile for less than 90 days do not need a visa.

Travel forms:

  • Special entry requirements for Easter Island: Complete a Single Entry Form (FUI).

Please note that COVID-19 requirements may change, and it is recommended to review the Chilean government website and consult the nearest Chilean Embassy for the most up-to-date information.
