The Shangrila is a beautiful hotel with gorgeous clean rooms and the most stunning views of the ocean. The check in process is relaxed and personal and you feel the luxury as soon as you check in. My husband and I stayed for 6 nights and enjoyed the adults pool every day, whereby Stephen looked after us amazingly. Fresh water every day, cleaned our sunglasses and was always super attentive. We enjoyed the golden hour at Cocos every day with amazing staff, music and canapés, the staff there were very attentive. The food in all of the A La Carte restaurants is amazing and for us Kushi stood out as by far the most amazing food. Where the hotel let us down was with the service in the restaurants, it is very clear that the hotel is under staffed in both chefs and waiting staff. Every morning at breakfast we would have to request something to be replenished and it appeared no one was proactively doing this. The banana bread had tiny ants crawling all over it every morning despite me reporting it. We attended the pan Asian night at TSK whereby Archie was doing an amazing job but clearly needed help Cooking as there was always something people were waiting for. Service for us is what makes a 5 star and there was always a wait for drinks or food in all of the restaurants. We visited Cocos Beach bar for dinner where the waitress was quite unhelpful and also clearly too stretched. Oodesh in housekeeping looked after our room perfectly and sent someone to fix our broken sink immediately. Restaurant service is clearly an issue and sadly brought down our overall honeymoon experience. This is a beautiful hotel but must improve on service.

Wow! Our five night stay at Shangri-La Le Touessrok was absolute perfection. The hotel itself is so beautiful: the beaches, the pools (especially the adult-only pool) and the serene architecture. We enjoyed the gong-welcome! Every meal we had - at Safran, Kushi and Coco’s Beach House - was delicious, with Safran being our absolute favourite. Breakfast at Coco’s was gorgeous too. So glad we went for Half Board here. We loved golden hour cocktails at Coco’s and hearing the excellent music at the Sega bar too. So grateful to everyone who works here (with apologies for those whose names I don’t know) but huge thanks to: Ana who checked us in, Catherine in Coco’s who made us a rum baba, Tony the beekeeper, Dinesh who served us for lunch at Coco’s, Ravi and Beekram the bartenders at Sega - they make the most amazing cocktails, Kush was always great with breakfast at Coco’s, Agnes who helped with dinner reservations and Kiran for the exceptional housekeeping. The day trip to Ilot Mangenie was wild and wonderful. We enjoyed snorkelling, seeing the beehives and feeding the tortoises too. The gym was great and our room - a Frangipani Ocean View Junior Suite (room 285) was absolutely perfect. Loved watching crabs and sunrises from the balcony. Oh and a final thank you to the silly tabby cat who rules Coco’s Beach bar - he was a little charmer we loved seeing at breakfast and happy hour. A perfect hotel - we very much wish to return one day!
I had such a wonderful stay at Shangri-La! Everything was absolutely beautiful, and I truly enjoyed every moment. The room was lovely, comfortable, and beautifully designed, and I especially appreciated the attention to detail throughout the resort.The private island was definitely one of the highlights of my stay — absolutely stunning and such a special experience!
I would also like to give a special mention to Ali, who assisted me during check-out. He was exceptionally kind, professional, and attentive, and really left a wonderful final impression. Overall, an amazing experience and a beautiful resort that I would happily come back to. Highly recommended!
Our experience at the hotel was beyond expectations . The property is gorgeous and all the staff are very attentive and welcoming. There are plenty of activities to do at the hotel and they also provide free ride boats to a their proviate island and Ile
