Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
The hotel is OK, but I had a problem with the reception and accounting department. In May 2023, I booked a room via hotels.com for one night at this hotel. they ‘accidentally’ charged the room fee twice: once at the check-in and once at the check-out. They said they would return the accidental change in the following days and there was nothing to worry about.
After five weeks, I am still waiting for my refund. I contacted hotels.com and the hotel multiple times. Either their payment systems are down, or they can only make a refund to a local Turkish bank account which I do not have…. They are not able to pay refunds to foreign credits cards , but they are able to charge them!
I believe it is a SCAM which they especially target foreigners who most likely do not have a Turkish bank account. I recommend to stay somewhere else, there are many nice hotels in the area which is quite pleasant. Just stay away from this hotel.
Great experience overall, we definitely got more than what we paid for. The staff really elevated the whole experience. They were friendly as well as helpful. They did their best to accommodate our needs and I dont think they turned any of our requests down. They also let us leave out luggage with them which was a huge help. In the end it was a positive experience with a reasonable price tag.
As senior advisor, I had the pleasure to stay around the world but this spot is in my 5. The location is perfect acrross from the beach. Restaurants, shops, atms, super market. The Staff is amazing , the manager makes you feel at home. And goes beyond her way to acomodate every need. Every time im here I feel at home. The pool area is just beautiful..and the private cabins are adorable. Totally recomend!!!
I am surprised that the Rissus Garden hasn't got more great reviews. It is a wonderful place. Outside you have the hustle and bustle of Kusadasi, inside you are in a quiet oasis, a hidden gem.
Every time I come to Kusadasi I tend to stay in different hotels to try them out. But now I have found this, I will be coming back here. The pool is a great size, it is deep and there is a children's pool. It doesn't close at 6 like other hotels. You can stay around it as long as you like, there is a pool bar next to it which serves food and I believe it is open until 12.
Your Breakfast is around the bar area looking onto the pool and is a typical Turkish Breakfast which is really good in my opinion. You can have coffee or tea, coffee is really good it is out of a machine and has cappuccino.
The hotel is made up of chalet-like houses which have a table and chairs out front. I had a double room with a bathroom and a fridge. There is a pretty good hairdryer in the bathroom. The room was cleaned every day and you were given fresh towels. The only downside was when you had a shower the drain smell wasn't good but it soon went, sometimes there was no hot water just luke warm but this happens in other hotels that I have stayed in. The big shower head didnt work but the little one was perfect.
When you walk out of the hotel entrance the marina shops and restaurants are just across the road, and there are also plenty of bars and restaurants along the road. The beach is a stone's throw away.
You really couldn't ask for anything more from this hidden gem. The only reason I haven't given it 5 stars is that there are a couple of things that need tweaking and this place would be perfect.
Overall, our stay was a mixed experience. We paid a considerable amount for our booking and clearly indicated that we were three adults and one child. Unfortunately, the booking was processed as four adults, and we are still working to resolve this matter and receive the appropriate adjustment.
There were also many positive aspects to our stay. The staff were consistently friendly, helpful, and clearly committed to providing the best service possible. The front desk staff member was particularly accommodating, while the security team was attentive and professional. Our room was spacious and well designed for a family of four, with a large bathroom and a separate living area where the sofas could be converted into beds. The overall concept and layout of the room were very good.
There are, however, a few areas where further attention could enhance the guest experience. Some of the furniture in the living area and the flooring would benefit from updating and improved maintenance. One of the bathrooms also had a persistent unpleasant smell, despite the staff's efforts to address it, which may indicate that further maintenance is required.
The hotel also appeared to be operating with a limited number of staff, which understandably placed additional pressure on the team. The employees we encountered were hardworking and doing their best, particularly the young staff member assisting around the pool and during breakfast. However, additional support would certainly help ensure a smoother and more consistent level of service. Kitchen service was occasionally slow, even for simple breakfast requests. While breakfast was clean and adequate, we had expected a somewhat more refined experience considering the overall price of our stay.
When we shared some of our concerns with management, we were informed that they had only recently taken over the property and were still adjusting to the transition. We appreciate that such changes can bring challenges and understand that building a strong team takes time. However, from a guest's perspective, particularly at this price point, we hope that these internal challenges will gradually become less noticeable and that the hotel will continue to invest in staffing, training, maintenance, and guest service.
Overall, the hotel has a lovely concept and considerable potential. Our feedback is not directed at the staff, who were genuinely friendly and hardworking, but rather at the areas where additional support and attention could further elevate the experience. Considering the amount we paid, we had hoped for a more polished and seamless stay and, unfortunately, did not feel that the overall experience fully reflected the value we expected. With the right improvements, however, we believe the hotel has every potential to offer an excellent guest experience.
