- Palm Wings Kusadasi Beach Resort

Ideally situated on a long, sandy beach in the area of Davutlar, this modern, resort hotel is 15 km from the popular resort of Kusadasi and 7 km from the beautiful Dilik National Park. In an area popular for holiday homes, the small town of Davutlar is a 5-minute car ride away and has a colourful weekly market. The resort features a range of activities and facilities and has a large outdoor complex with a choice of swimming pools including a waterslide pool, while the beach slopes gently into a shallow sea. Sunsets over the Greek island of Samos on the horizon are something to look out for.
I’ve just been taking about how much I liked this hotel and realised that I never left a review to say so! I stayed with my son from the end of April to beginning of May. We both struggle with change and being away from home and change, but the staff at Palm wings hotel went above and beyond to ensure we had a good stay. The staff are amazing- helpful, thoughtful, friendly and kind. The rooms are cleaned, and the fridges restocked with drinks daily. The hotel is clean and smart. Despite a rocky start (due to us, not the hotel) We had a lovely stay.
It’s not a negative as such, but there are only a couple of places to eat, unlike some hotels where there are more choice of restaurants. There’s the snack bar, and then the buffet restaurant. Also 1 visit to the a la carte restaurant per week (this is above the buffet restaurant) There is also a patisserie with lovely cakes and coffees. There also isn’t a huge amount in the surrounding areas- I’m not sure if there’s more at peak time, but other than a beach bar outside there is no other restaurants or bars close by. There are shops and a market nearby, and the dolmus is cheap if you want to go to town but don’t the expense of a taxi. As I said this is not a negative, just different, and the food that is available is great!
We would definitely come back, and would recommend others try it :)
Highly disappointed with this hotel, 100% not a 5 star hotel. After reading the reviews we were excited to see all the amazing things that people had to say… and we’re still waiting.
Positives - Mehmet from the spa is just lovely, not pushy, seeks you out to say hello, super friendly and one of the only good English speakers. Little shop onsite well stocked and very friendly and helpful, also ok with English. Kids loved the ice cream, weather was of course hot as you expect and lovely sunsets at night. Well placed for the sandy beach if that’s what you want and plenty of cats to fuss over if that’s your thing.
Negatives - beds are ridiculously uncomfortable, staff are rude, miserable, avoid English but fall over themselves for other nationalities. No pharmacy or shops anywhere local, and taxis are hard to come by. Front of house who should be welcoming and able to communicate with you are pretty useless on both fronts. Food is very repetitive, not much for kids either other than spaghetti chips and nuggets. If you’re not English, reserving sun beds isn’t an issue but we’ve had our towels removed when others were left in place. Music ridiculously loud during the day, I’m all for music by the pool but at times you can’t hear anything but. 2 bedroom accommodation is super small, nowhere to put cases once unpacked, mould in the bathroom, rooms not very clean at all which is not the cleaners fault, just very grubby in general. Poolside ridiculously slippy, and pool isn’t big enough for the amount of guests the hotel accommodates.
We have stayed in some gorgeous 4* hotels that far superseded this hotel, how it’s been given a 5* rating is beyond me. Very disappointing and will not be returning or recommending this hotel to anyone.
All went well until this incident in one of the 2 rooms we rented. There was a water leakage in the bathroom. Although it was supposed to be fixed, water was still coming our for 2 days. Since it was at the end of our stay, we did not want to change room. A commercial gesture would have been welcome. Customer relationship management to be improved for a 5 star hotel.
Had amazing entertainment,we had a pool party with dancers and saxophone player and acrobats hanging from a crane.an inflatable pool party,Turkish night.has been amazing.a la carte, definitely try it,amazing again and plenty to choose from with sunset view.pool sides really clean, bins every 2 beds, and ample spares of beds and shades, especially for middle of August.swim up fabulous all sunny for loads of hours throughout the day.migros 7 minutes away and a quite big indoor market.out the front of hotel, turn left to roundabout and turn right, defo worth visiting.not one of the sellers tried to sell u,u could just browse and be left alone, all open late afternoon/ night.long walkway on beach side if u like to stroll or take a run.defo 1 of the best hotels i have been in.had a fruit birthday cake for a price as we had a birthday while we were there, never tasted anything as nice.
We have been going for 13 years to the same resort. Everything is great. Bit I like to suggest that the rooms should be updated curtains are old and on tje floor. Washroom outdated too. The buffet area works put the water glass on the chairs upside down. People sit on the chairs it disgusting that I have to put our mouths on it not hygienic at all. I mentioned it no one cares.
Food this year was not as expected. More salt is required and not flavorful.
Other then that everything is wonderful.
