I had very good time they are Soo friendly and nice Turkish breakfast best food every day
HONEST REVIEW: I stayed at the hotel for 7 nights as I had come to Kusadasi to get my teeth done!
The Room: clean, but basic. No kettle in room (this is the first time I've stayed in a hotel without the offer of a kettle) and you are expected to reuse the one bottle of water given to you on arrival and keep topping it up at the water dispenser at the bar... very strange - never experienced this before at any hotels I've stayed at. The bedding is rather strange, the topsheet on the bed is very rough and scratchy, I did find a duvet in the cupboard but it had no cover on it, the mattress is hard but you get used to it. No drawers in the room only a wardrobe.
The Staff : so lovely and helpful, they are all very hard worker's. The young lady at reception is very polite and helpful and gave us lots of information when we had any questions.
Spa: We went for a full body massage which was a unique experience!! There is no place for modesty in the spa! They don't offer you a paper bikini so you need to be prepared to be fully unclothed (I went in with my mother so it was rather awkward but we had a good laugh about it afterwards) £100 is rather pricey in my opinion. I think its the most I've ever paid at a hotel for a hamam massage.
Entertainment Team: they are amazing! The 2 men in entertainment really make the hotel seem more fun and lively. We looked forward to seeing them and joking with them everyday. The place is very boring when they're not around, and it doesn't feel like there is much to do.
The Food: not great!.... I do not think they cater towards UK guests. Not a vast amount of options unfortunately. As long as you don't mind eating chicken and rice every night then you'll be fine! You can see that they are trying though - offering pancakes and omelettes in the morning, some sort of flat bread in the afternoon... If you have certain intolerances like gluten or dairy then this hotel cannot cater for you unfortunately, my mother struggled to have 1 full plate of food every day as the food is not labelled properly with allergens. We ended up eating at a restaurant for 3 nights.
The Drinks: served in thin plastic cups which isn't terrible just not very ideal. The soft drinks don't taste good at all, especially the lemonade - my advice is to just spend your money and get a can or bottle of soft drink in the shop at the hotel. The spirits arent great but they never really are at most 4 star hotels to be fair!
Went to Hong Kong restaurant 3 times in 1 week and food is delicious, they even pick you up from hotel and drop you back off! It is a little pricey so if you're on a budget it might be a bit costly. Came to a total of £105 for 3 meals and 3 drinks - not terrible! Just a bit more than we were expecting. We still went for 3 times though because the food is so good!
The shop in the hotel has so much stuff to offer and amazing prices, they accept card payment too. The owners are lovely and will do whatever they can to help
Overall I would say The hotel is a good choice for a first time budget holiday , but not very ideal for people like myself who are used to an all inclusive 5 star hotel experience.
The hotel has potential but needs a bit more money investing into it. Better sunbeds, parasols, chairs etc We still made the most of our time there but not sure we would return... time will tell!
I stayed here for 10 days with my partner and we had a wonderful time at the hotel, the staff were excellent very friendly and attentive. Food was nice, there was always something that I liked and I can be quite a fussy eater.
The entertainment team were very good, always in good moods. We especially liked the club dance in the pool and the Bingo night. Big shout out to Carlos & Oscar !!
Overall a holiday to remember and I would 100% reccommend to a young couple for a nice breakaway
Had a wonderful stay at City's Hill Hotel. The staff were friendly and attentive from check-in to check-out, and the room was clean and comfortable. Everything felt well looked after, and the location made it easy to get around. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting the area.funny times.kyo helped with us for everything
First off, the hotel is in a good location, with taxi's and buses just around the corner which you will need to get to the beach, town centre etc.
The staff are very friendly and welcoming, and were very helpful when we needed anything.
The rooms are ok, but they could do with a revamp/modernising. Some rooms have a tiny balcony, that only one person can sit on, so we only used ours to dry wet clothes. We did get offered a bigger balcony about 4 days in, but at that point we didn’t bother as we were out of the hotel for a few days. Shower gel is not provided, just a shampoo dispenser, with an on site shop selling shower gels, sun cream, clothing, snacks etc.
The tv in the room was tiny, and looked like it was from 2008, so when you see the room advertised with a flat screen tv just be mindful of that. Yes we were there for the pool etc, but sometimes chilling in your hotel room out of the heat is needed, so more modern tv's are a must.
The pool was great, you can easily get a sunbed(s) with a parasol, but to be sure claim a couple before breakfast with your towel(s) if you want to be next to the pool.
The entertainment team were lively, though compared to other places I've been to the last few years, there doesn't seem much geared towards younger kids. A mini disco for a few nights was advertised but didn't seem to happen. Our son still enjoyed himself by making friends and being entertained by cats and hedgehogs that made there way on site.
Food and drink wise it was a mixed bag. The salads and fresh fruit were amazing, but there wasn't enough options for grilled meats, where your chicken, turkey etc was already in a mix or sauce. Drinks were ok, though the lack of non alcoholic beer was disappointing. Plastic or cardboard cups weren't great and were too small. Hot drink options weren't great either, just a couple of basic vending machines, where other places I've visted have a proper coffee bar, served in decent sized cups.
Be wary of the some of the local restaurants stating free pick up and drop off, as this gets baked into the price. One example was the Hong Kong restaurant, where a few mains, drinks and a starter ended up costing about £100.
The beaches nearby are lovely, as well as the castle, and if you can take a sunset boat tour (usually from 19:00) from the marina it is amazing.
Overall an enjoyable experience, but the hotel needs to do more and to modernise to really make it worthy of your time and money.
