Grand Aquarium

Once again the most amazing stay at Grand Aquarium.   There is something for everyone of all ages and the staff cant do enough for you.   The entertainment team are fantastic... Cedric, GeeGee, Bucky, Charlie, Ozge and Aysha are always there to make your holiday the best. White Night was absolutely amazing and everyone made such an effort with a variety of entertainment.   The pool foam party, drag queens, drifters and entertainer staff show were also a highlight.   Kids club has lots of activities such as chocolate parties and making milkshakes so also amazing for the kids.  The restaurant serves amazing food and drinks and the bar staff can't do enough to help you... especially Kami, Firat, Ali, Mike, Ellie, Ben, Samet and Pasin.. but all staff are just superb.   They are so funny, hardworking and welcoming.  Thanks for making our holiday so special guys! Hotel has beautiful rooms cleaned daily to a high standard.   Heated pool with slide is fab. Ive had my hair done at the hairdressers a few times now and Yasin does the best job. GOT to use the spa too!
What a gem this place is. Even had ny rings cleaned by Doğan at the jewellers, perfect.  It really is a home away from home and they make you feel like family. Big shout out to Saliye for everything she has done to help us!   We genuinely love you all and can't wait to be back.

Recently stayed here for a week at the end of August. Here’s my honest review. The hotel itself is a little tired in places, but very clean in all areas. We are a couple with an 11 yr old son. We had a room that overlooked the main pool. We gave our son the quieter room (at the back), which was the bedroom and we took the sofa bed in the lounge. The maid put a topper on the sofa bed, which made it very comfortable. The noise in the evenings from 9:30 pm is very loud and honestly the drag show evening, was just at a ridiculous level in our room. The balcony door didn’t shut very well and I don’t think that helped. I would visit this hotel again, but only if I could secure a room in the annex, which is much quieter. Other than the noise, the room was perfect for us. Had everything we needed and was very clean. The sunbed towel situation was ridiculous. There were 2 large groups staying at the hotel and although the rule is no towels before 7:30am, all the beds around the main pool had towels on them by 6:30am. We gave up trying, and just stayed around the quiet Annex pool, and took our son though to use the slide, for the short time it was running. The free pool inflatables are an amazing idea and we left the one we took over, to add to the fun. The foam party is amazing and a must do for kids. The staff (other than the bar staff), really do try very hard to make your stay amazing. The bar staff clearly don’t wish to be there, and in 7 nights we were only offered a food menu once. Trying to teach my 11 yr old son a little independence, so sent him to the bar on his own to order a milkshake. The staff member shouted at him and he refused point blank to try again for the rest of our stay. My husband went back to the bar with our son and the staff member was very rude. It’s a shame, because the entertainment team work so hard in the evenings to create a fun atmosphere, but the bar staff really do ruin it. We loved the fact that the hotel is a little out of town. We enjoyed a 5 mile circular walk every morning down to the coast. It’s exactly a mile from the hotel to the top of the Main Street of shops and restaurants. This was our 7th trip to Turkey and our 1st to Icmeler. We will definitely be back. It was hands down my favourite Turkey trip. Maybe because we have always done all inclusive. I really enjoyed the self catering side much more. I know a few people have complained about the cats. But, I’m allergic and they didn’t bother me. They keep to themselves, unless you want to make a fuss of them (like my son). Saliye was fantastic and really goes above and beyond. An amazing asset to this hotel 💯.
