Scenic views are part of the deal at the Hotel Aqua – it’s sandwiched between pine-cloaked mountains and the Mediterranean Sea. It’s set on Icmeler’s sand-and-shingle beach, just a five-minute walk away from the town centre.
Prepare for plenty of pool days here, whatever the weather – the hotel has large outdoor and indoor swimming pools, heated from March to May and again in October and November. Anyone into their health and wellness can also pop into the gym and the spa.
I’ve been going to this hotel since 1997, often twice a year so have lots to compare to. As always, the hotel is beautiful, immaculately clean and the staff are beyond fantastic. The pool is amazing and as always, kept clean and safe by the lovely George. There are the usual sunbed wars, but having just come back from a September trip, I can say that this is the worst time of year. Three days running, I noticed that towels had been put out very early on two beds in one of the prime positions and nobody had even sat on them by the time we left the pool at 4pm.
I visited in June 2026 and the food was good. I visited in September 2026 and the standard of food had gone down a lot. It was mainly the variety of food and warmth of food that had declined. In a 12 night stay, grilled meatballs were on the menu for at least six consecutive days and hot dogs were on offer on three days. No roast beef this time, just an abundance of turkey. Whilst the quality of the food was ok, it needs to be warmer. Lukewarm pride, mash and baked beans are not appetising. Maybe this is just due to approaching the end of the season?
We have just returned from our 3rd visit in the last 7 years to the Aqua. The hotel continues to be excellent. Fantastic staff, rooms, food and service. The spa is also worth a visit and we enjoyed Turkish bath, massage and facial. Outside the hotel is VERY noisy at night. Our room was on the 1st floor and some nights our room was "bouncing' with the loud music ! Luckily the music went off at midnight.
Absolutely love this hotel, have met many friends Entertainment team is excellent big shout to Meli and the waiters are very accommodating

Beautiful, clean and comfortable rooms, amazing food and brilliant facilities. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, and a special mention to the fantastic entertainment team who worked so hard to keep everyone smiling and entertained. Great atmosphere and a perfect holiday — we’d definitely return!
