This property is all inclusive. Rates include meals and beverages at onsite dining establishments. Charges may be applied for dining at some restaurants, special dinners and dishes, some beverages, and other amenities. Grab a bite at Main Restaurant, one of the property's 2 restaurants, or stay in and take advantage of the room service (during limited hours). Snacks are also available at the coffee shop/café. Relax with a refreshing drink from the poolside bar or one of the 6 bars/lounges.
Make yourself at home in one of the 338 air-conditioned rooms featuring free minibar items and LCD televisions. Complimentary wireless Internet access keeps you connected, and satellite programming is available for your entertainment. Private bathrooms with showers feature complimentary toiletries and hair dryers. Conveniences include phones, as well as safes and desks.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
We paid for a 5-star hotel but got an experience that felt closer to 3 stars. That’s exactly why the disappointment was so strong.
At first glance, everything looks quite good: a green property, a large beach, plenty of food options, a spa, gym, entertainment, and a kids’ club. So technically, all the attributes of a 5-star hotel are there. But once you start looking at the actual quality, there are a lot of questions.
Territory & beach
This is probably the strongest part of the hotel. The territory is not very large, but it’s extremely green, shady, and well organized. The beach is big and nice, and the sea is beautiful.
Wi-Fi was also a pleasant surprise - it’s free, works throughout the entire hotel, and even reaches the beach.
Rooms
The rooms look nice in the photos and make a decent first impression, but in reality they are quite tired and clearly need renovation. If your room is closer to the pool, expect a lot of noise in the evening and at night.
On the positive side, there are plenty of toiletries in the bathroom, housekeeping is daily, and towels are changed every day.
There is also a free minibar. However, it consists of one bottle of sparkling mineral water, two bottles of still water, one Pepsi, and one Sprite. It is restocked daily between 2 and 4 PM - so if you happen to be resting in your room during those hours, you may simply miss the refill 😎
Food - 3/5 at best
There seems to be a lot of choice, but much of it is greens, vegetables, and a huge variety of desserts. There are no special products, delicacies, or dishes you would normally expect from a hotel in this price range.
The cheese selection is very basic - no Parmesan, Brie, etc. The cold cuts are also basic. Meat options are quite poor, and in our opinion, most of it simply wasn’t cooked very well.
The fish is mainly local and quite bony. There was one seafood-themed day with salmon and vegetable rolls.
The biggest advantage is that food is available almost all day: breakfast, late breakfast, snack bar, ice cream and waffles, afternoon snacks, dinner, and late-night food. You definitely won’t go hungry. But “there is always something to eat” and “enjoying great food at a 5-star hotel” are two very different things.
There is also a separate café with desserts and coffee. Unfortunately, the coffee is terrible. The coffee machines in the main restaurant are no better. On the bright side, there is a large selection of tea, and the tea is actually good.
The juices deserve a separate mention - they taste extremely artificial. We basically couldn’t find any decent juice at all.
Most of the alcohol is local, while other options are available for an extra charge. The wine and beer, however, are quite decent.
For families with children
This hotel is honestly quite weak when it comes to kids.
The kids’ club is open from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM and from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. In the photos, it looks like a large and exciting kids’ area. In reality, there are three rooms: one with a trampoline, one playroom, and one TV room. There are very few toys or genuinely interesting activities.
There is a Turkish-speaking animator who supervises the children, but we didn’t see much active engagement or any proper entertainment program.
In the evening, children’s entertainment is basically limited to a 30-minute mini-disco at 9:00 PM.
The playground is tiny - two swings and two slides. And that’s pretty much it.
So if you are traveling with a child and expect a genuinely family-friendly hotel where your child will have plenty to do throughout the day, this is definitely something to keep in mind.
Entertainment
Adult entertainment is much better. There are games, yoga, water polo, volleyball, evening shows, and discos. Some of the shows were actually very good.
However, the music was approximately 80% Russian, 10% Turkish, and 10% English/international.
The guest mix was similar - around 80% were Russian tourists. At times, it genuinely felt more like being somewhere in Tagil than on vacation in Turkey.
Staff
We had the fewest complaints about the staff. They work hard, respond to requests, and genuinely try to help. In the restaurant, tables are cleared and reset quickly. You can see that the staff are making an effort, and this is definitely one of the hotel’s stronger points.
Pools & facilities
The pools are not heated.
There are no children’s water slides. There is only a small water park for adults with three slides.
The indoor pool was completely closed during our stay.
There is also a spa and a gym.
Overall
The biggest problem with this hotel isn’t any single flaw - it’s the huge gap between the price, the advertised 5-star level, and what you actually get.
Yes, the sea is beautiful. The beach is large and good, the territory is green, the staff are helpful, and the Wi-Fi is stable.
But that simply isn’t enough to justify the price of a good 5-star hotel.
Tired rooms, very average food, terrible coffee and juices, weak facilities for children, minimal kids’ entertainment, cold pools, and a closed indoor pool - that’s simply too many compromises for this price.
We paid for a 5-star experience. What we received felt much closer to 3 stars.
We stayed at this hotel in 2024 and again this year. The rooms are a disaster — the bathroom floods after every shower, and the AC leaks... When they changed our room after we complained, the AC in the second room didn't work at all... The food, cleanliness, and entertainment were OK, but because of the issues mentioned above, we won't be returning.
} I had an issue with the service and the attitude of some staff members, which I mentioned in my original review. However, I would like to highlight that the hotel management took my complaint seriously. They tried to contact me for two days and eventually invited me for a personal conversation to discuss the situation.
They also left a complimentary gift for me, although at first I did not realize it was intended for me.
I truly appreciate that the management did not ignore my feedback and made an effort to address the issue. After our conversation, my overall impression of the hotel improved significantly, and I am happy with the rest of my stay
We’re leaving in the morning, and have to say we have just had 10 amazing days here! All the staff have made us feel very welcome. Food and drinks are lovely, good choice every night. We had an amazing garden room with a view of the sea and the pool. Housekeeping staff did a fabulous job everyday. Big shout out to the amazing animation team who entertained us everyday with their enthusiasm! Our holiday was made so much better because of them, so thank you! Nightly entertainment was brilliant. Really have nothing bad to say, except 10 days wasn’t long enough! Would come back in a heart beat and would recommend this hotel to anyone .
We stayed at Amara Comfort Resort as a family with a young child, and we were very happy with our experience.
The hotel grounds are beautifully maintained, green, and cozy, with stunning views of both the sea and the mountains. We especially appreciated how compact everything is—the restaurant, pools, and beach are all just a few minutes’ walk away, which is incredibly convenient when traveling with a small child.
The food was delicious and offered plenty of variety. Every day there was a great selection of meat and fish (grilled, fried, baked, and steamed), vegetables (fresh, pickled, stewed, and roasted), fresh fruit, and desserts ranging from cakes and pastries to traditional Turkish sweets. It was also easy to find suitable food for children, including simple side dishes, vegetables, meat, and fruit. The staff were friendly and always willing to help.
There are also several snack bars where you can enjoy something between the main meals, including fruit, burgers, pizza, French fries, salads, traditional Turkish flatbreads with fillings, waffles, ice cream, sandwiches, and desserts.
The beach is clean, and the water is incredibly clear thanks to the pebbles instead of sand. The mountain views are absolutely breathtaking. There were always enough sun loungers available, even during the busiest hours of the day.
The rooms are comfortable, and housekeeping was done regularly. Overall, the hotel has a very pleasant and relaxing atmosphere, making it an excellent choice for a family vacation.
When we arrived, we were supposed to stay in a standard garden-view room (the separate bungalow-style accommodation), but the hotel kindly upgraded us to a larger room in the main building with a beautiful sea view at no extra cost. That was a lovely surprise and much appreciated!
One thing to keep in mind is that the beach is pebbly, so if you’re not used to walking on stones, you may want to buy water shoes at one of the local shops. However, we found it perfectly comfortable even without them.
