Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
It’s incredible!! I highly recommend it, we took the all inclusive package and it’s been really worth it thus far. Get ready to gain a little weight though🤦🏻♀️🥹 I can’t say good enough things about it! Will definitely come back soon♥️
We came as a family of 7 (6 adults and 1 child) and after paying just £800pp for 7 nights we didn’t have too high expectations coming for our stay and after reading a lot of the reviews leading up towards our stay were a little worried.
I am giving a 4 rating based off of what you get for the price. Me and me wife usually stay in luxurious hotels all across the world costing £3k + pp so it would be unfair to rate it against those type of hotels.
It has everything you need, the hotel is very clean considering it obviously hasn’t been renovated in many years. The pool area always has sun loungers available even when busy, it’s kept clean and the waiters on the roller blades are always checking in to see if they can bring you anything.
We did have some issues with the aircon in our room as it was very very hot, this was sorted quickly within 30 minutes of us mentioning to reception.
The buffet food started off okay, but the lack of selection and the same food day in day out became a little tiresome, some variety would have been great especially for breakfast and lunch. Also more variety of vegetables, as there wasn’t many options at all. The kids food is the exact same every day with no variation or nutritional value and we struggled to get our child to eat after 3 days in.
The entertainment unfortunately is the worst I’ve ever experienced, we only lasted 10-15 minutes each night for the entertainment that was on, really really poor. The elvis tribute was even miming talking in between songs.
The staff here are very friendly, happy to help and accommodate with a smile on their faces which made our stay a lot better. The alcoholic drinks were pretty good as well as the coffee.
I would say for £800 for 7 days, it would be a good option and if I had that money to spend on a holiday I probably would return. If you are looking for Luxery, unfortunately this would not be it.
This hotel is not a four star it needs refurbishment the rooms are tired and dark shower have orange stains on the walls they are not cleaned out hair left in the drain the whole two weeks we were here rooms are not cleaned towels are changed these are very old and worn out pool towels the same some times stained there are not enough sun loungers for the amount of people staying in the hotel the restaurant is terrible it’s a mad house with people trying to get a table the food area is not adequate only a small selection of food and it’s not at all good lots of stew like dishes and always Luke warm entertainment is only three nights a week and is not good pool steps are very slippery lots of people had nasty falls my son slipped on these steps my balcony had stains and mould on the walls we had five rooms at this hotel paid over 23000 pounds for this holiday should of stayed at Lara beach area far better than here
We stayed here for 7 nights and absolutely loved our stay. The staff are incredible, always really helpful and smiley. They go above and beyond at all times of the day for you. Especially the man in the arcade, the woman who makes the freshly baked donuts (a must have!) and the buffet staff.
The hotel is lovely and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. The food and cocktails was great. We really enjoyed our time here and would recommend for couples or families. There’s something for everyone here!
Theres also a couple of cats and a kitten who I fell in love with. They are well looked after by the hotel. We would definitely come back again!
We recently stayed the Sherwood as a group of 11. I was really worried about what we had booked after reading the reviews here and on FB groups but we needn't have.
The hotel is super clean, well maintained, lots of food choice - we didnt have a bad meal, the staff are really helpful and pleasant.
A few cons - the hairdryer in our room was dire, really slow, the timings of the bookable restaurants on site were odd. At the Italian the last seating is 8pm, by 8:40pm we were told the kitchen had closed. We felt rushed when eating and havent experienced this anywhere else abroad.
The stairs into the pool are very slippery, one to watch. The evening entertainment wasn't my kind of thing but plenty of people go to watch it.
Neither of the bar areas of an evening had any music playing, just music videos on the tvs with no sound. Would be nice to have something to create a better atmosphere.
For what we paid we were happy with the hotel and would recommend.
