Regnum Carya

This is actually my second time staying, my last being during Covid when a lot of facilities were shut and I felt that the service and food etc wasn’t good so I was hesitant but heard a lot of good things.

Well I’m glad I gave it another go. From the minute we arrived I instantly felt relaxed. We stayed in a pearl pool room which was lovely. Last time we stayed in the suite however it was so large and not needed. The food I felt was of great quality, I think my only gripe is that the eggs Benedict aren’t made to order at the buffet do the eggs are cold. The variety and quality was lovely and I am a big foodie. We only ate at one of the extra Al a cartes, the Italian which was lovely. I could have eaten it all again. The included Al a cartes were also very good. Service everywhere was exceptional. We went to the beach and all the different pools and were offerred everything from crisps, fruit, ice lollies to having your sun glasses cleaned. The drinks on offer were of great quality. The evening bar staff remembered us and what we liked to drink each night. The rooms were kept clean although no turn down service was given.

My only gripe is that room service is not included at this price. We tend to drink wine and my partner has whiskey however when we asked if we could get some to the room the price was extortionate, bearing in mind you can have it at the bar. But this is probably our only gripe. The location is beautiful, sunbeds of good quality even on the beach and we always found some. Staff even offered to get us some at times when we were looking where to sit.

I do worry about the farm animals however, they seem well cared for however the pens are very small and not a lot of shade and no grass. Being from the uk this wouldn’t be allowed over here.

However this would not put me off and we shall be returning I am sure!
