I have been staying at Kempinski Hotel The Dome Belek for 6 days, and unfortunately I have noticed something that I find very disappointing for a 5-star Kempinski hotel.
During these 6 days, I have hardly seen any cleaning staff maintaining the outdoor areas of the hotel. I have never seen the outdoor areas being properly washed or cleaned, and the pool and beach areas do not appear to receive the level of continuous maintenance I would expect from a hotel of this category.
Another thing I noticed is the sunbed covers and towels around the beach and pool areas. During my entire stay, I have not seen them being systematically changed. In comparison, at Calista, where I have stayed before, the sunbed covers were removed every evening, washed/changed, and fresh ones were placed again in the morning. There was also continuous cleaning and maintenance of the outdoor areas throughout the day.
I am not saying that the entire hotel is dirty, but the outdoor cleanliness and daily maintenance simply do not feel like the standard I expect from a Kempinski property.
The hotel has a beautiful location and great potential, but cleanliness and attention to detail in the outdoor areas are very important, especially at a luxury 5-star resort.
I hope the management takes this feedback seriously, because these small details make a big difference in the overall guest experience.
Amazing experience staying at the villa. Team is really nice, they care of you, they do their best to be sure your stay is great. Villa condition was perfect (except flooring). You’ve got everything at Villa. Housekeeping team is brilliant. Perfect cleanliness. Food at sofra restaurant is just superb and super delicious. Service is perfect. Best chefs, best waiters are there. Most thanks to Gulnur, Cebrail and Selvi. Palm lounge restaurant is also nice but service is less professional than Sofra so the management should pay more attention to the service standards and stuff’s skills. The food is also nice here. Everywhere you easily find any waiter and get your order quickly - it’s so rare in Turkey so this hotel has lots of employees everywhere to keep the service at high standards. Bravo!
What I didn’t like:
service at the pier. Not welcoming, bad quality of beverages
cabanas have lots of issues (broken umbrellas, dirty sofas, dirty flooring, not painted well). But service is great, waiters always ask you about anything, bring anything. Amazing.
coffee quality. Please change beans to specialty coffee beans. Now the quality of coffee is not really nice. Also everywhere you get coffee with different quality because all the stuff have different skill in preparing coffee. Only Cebrail, Selvi and baristas at Palm lounge knows not to make it in a nice way. But coffee beans are not great, please change it.
volume of TVs at the main bedroom and second bedroom with twin beds are really low so it’s hard to watch TV. Villa 406.
I’ve been staying here many times for last 15 years and I am confident that hotel is getting better and better every time. Brilliant management! Thanks!
What impressed me General staff — consistently polite, helpful, and friendly. Reception — efficient, professional, and quick. “Ladies in Red” team — genuinely excellent; they stand out as the most polished part of the hotel.
Where it fell short 🥤 Pool & Bar Service At the swim‑up bar, I waited almost 20 minutes one afternoon with no bartender present at all. I eventually had to ask the towel attendant to find someone.
Lunchtime service around the pool was consistently slow — one waiter covering the entire area.
Only one bartender at the swim‑up bar, and when large groups arrived (especially those ordering multiple cocktails), service for everyone else essentially stopped.
Oddly, more staff appeared later in the afternoon, so the lunchtime shortage feels avoidable. Rooms
Rooms are fine, but not luxurious — they look tired and dated.
My bathroom (room 146) had black mould around the edges, which is unacceptable in any hotel, let alone one marketed as 5‑star luxury.
Food was okay, nothing special.
The Italian à la carte night cost €25 extra per person, but the meal was no better than the main buffet.
It feels like an upsell rather than a genuinely elevated dining experience.
Pricing & Policies The hotel feels like a money‑making machine at times.
Example: my friend requested milk for his coffee, and reception said room service would charge for delivering it.
For a luxury hotel, charging for basic items like milk is tone‑deaf.
Final Verdict
Would I stay at the Kempinski Dome again?
Absolutely not.
It delivers a 4‑star experience at best, but charges 5‑star luxury prices. The staff are wonderful, but the operational standards, room quality, and service consistency simply don’t match the brand or the cost.
Our stay at Kempinski Hotel The Dome Belek was simply exceptional. We were extremely satisfied with everything – from the beautiful surroundings and stunning Lagoon Villa to the excellent food and outstanding service. The Lagoon Villa was beautiful, comfortable, and offered us the perfect combination of privacy and luxury. We also greatly appreciated the quality and variety of the food, as well as the friendliness, professionalism, and attentiveness of the entire staff.
Throughout our stay, we experienced a very high level of service and a genuine focus on guest comfort. Everything was perfectly organised, and the staff were always kind, helpful, and professional.
The hotel offers exactly what we expect from the Kempinski brand – high standards, elegance, comfort, and first-class service. Once again, Kempinski has proven to us why it is a brand we can truly rely on.
Thank you for a wonderful stay, the great atmosphere, and an unforgettable experience. We can highly recommend Kempinski Belek and will definitely be happy to return. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The location of the hotel was excellent considering we were playing golf at The Pasha and Sultan courses. The atmosphere overall was sadly lacking-a massive space but not many people around. Our room (150) was ok-nothing special. There was mildew around parts of the shower cubicle. Hairdryer provided was a waste of space, this was changed several times by the hotel but quality is poor. Considering how much we paid for the holiday, I feel the value for money was low. Although the cleaners came in each day, they didn’t do much cleaning! Randomly they would replace the odd towel rather than all of them. Replenishment of the minibar was also sporadic. As far as service is concerned-the ladies in red are a great asset to the hotel-they are very professional and approachable, the staff in the bars and restaurants are also very efficient-unfortunately I can’t say the same about the bar service around the pool area. This was at the best poor and at worst non existent. Overall this is a 5 star hotel offering a 3-4 star experience-I won’t be staying here again!
