Kaya Belek Hotel

8 days here whilst playing 4 rounds of golf as a couple but group of 24 . Been stuck on the 5th floor which looks like it was added on top about 50 years ago , takes ages for the very hot and small lifts to go up or down and the whole hotel looks like it’s stuck in 1980 . The roof top rooms as small and pokey the door doesn’t shut properly and a horrible stain in bath the only redeeming bit is the balcony is bigger that all the other rooms below but you have to duck otherwise you bang you head on sloping roof . The bed is absolute hell don’t expect a peaceful nights sleep on that old cheap mattress and pillows that go rock hard , the air con is antiquated and doesn’t cool as it should . This is our 3rd year in Belek and this is the worst hotel we have stayed at , and I thought all Turkey hotels were great before we stayed at this one . Food in restaurant has plenty of choice and is reasonable and have booked the Italian and Turkish ala carte which have been great but book early as they some run out of space . Breakfast has no seperate omelette station they just cook a big one and it’s always cold. Went down at 6 am before a golf game and they had stuck a lot out already so when is does open fully at 7am a lot is cold and over cooked .

Every other hotel has its own pier but this one doesn’t , just next door there is a posh one with 8 seperate hot tubs that I suppose you pay for and never saw anybody use the thing at all .

The drinks are own brand with hardly any names and you can drink drink drink without feeling tipsy . They come in the tiniest plastic cups around pool unless you get a beer in a bigger reusable cup.

It’s a shame as this has put us off Turkey golf trips now as this hotel need shutting down and demolished and rebuilt as it’s so so old with facilities and decor

Only one more full day to go and two horror nights to go on that matttess , can’t wait to get a proper sleep at home on a bed that is comfy and actually fits two people

Stayed here for a week in mid September, we are an English family of 3 with a 16 month old.

Food: Overall the food is good, reasonably varied choice every day across the main restaurant and pool bar where we ate at both regularly, breakfast I personally struggled with, probably my English palate, the options were a little adventurous for me personally. But we all managed to eat daily, maybe not the best options available for very young though. We ate at the Italian Al a Carte for our 1 free meal, a mixed bag. The starters and appetisers were great, main not so good. Kids option provided which was ideal however.

Facilities: No complaints at all the facilities are amazing, the main pool is large with plenty of sunbeds, the little waterpark is perfect for kids of all ages, entertainment and activities all day and night are great especially for kids with the events in the garden area. The hotel is right on the coast with a private area of the beach close to the pool bar. Everything is within walking distance. There is a shop selling snacks, toys and inflatables, convenient but expensive. There is also shops selling clothes, watches and fragrances which is handy if you’re interested. The gym and spa facilities are great, I personally only used the gym and sauna but they were well equipped.

Rooms: The room was spacious, clean overall. But as many others have said, very dated and in need a lot of maintenance. The shower/taps were wobbly and in poor condition, the bathroom walls also had some mould. But the hotel is undergoing renovation at the end of the season so I’m sure this will improve.

Overall a really good hotel and would be very excited to how the renovation turns out, would definitely consider returning
