Set just outside the popular resort town of Belek, Gloria Verde Resort is just a short stroll from Gloria Golf Club with its 45-hole golf courses, and guests can enjoy free shuttle services to and from the links. Rooms are comfortable and spacious with terrace or balcony, air conditioning and wireless internet access. Guests can enjoy healthy, low-calorie dining in the hotel's buffet or a la carte restaurants or a luxurious breakfast in bed with 24-hour room service. The hotel has a wonderful outdoor pool surrounded by carefully landscaped gardens as well as a games room, children's playground and fitness centre and spa. The area has been home to loggerhead sea turtles for thousands of years, and the hotel therefore takes special precautions so as not to disturb this special and endangered species. For golf enthusiasts as well as beach and nature lovers, this hotel offers the ideal retreat for a relaxing and fun-filled holiday.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
This is my second holiday to Gloria Verde. The hotel is very very good with excellent staff in all areas of the complex. Sadly on my recent 8 day holiday it rained for 3 days. This unfortunately brought a few issues that the hotel should observe. The outside section of the Main buffet is not totally covered, with this the “none smoking”area was infiltrated with customers smoking at tables clearly identified as none smoking. This habit continued into the Main Atrium with customers refusing to venture outside all day and evening. There were several guests openly smoking. The Lobby Lounge was an area I used each night to enjoy my evening, On all the nights irrespective of the weather several customers were allowed to use vapes within this Lounge. I brought my observation to members of staff on 3 occasions. Not one of them were interested in my concerns. Now guests can smoke and vape around the pool, all restaurants, indoors, outdoors, toilets , changing areas and the main Atrium. I love the concept of the Gloria Resorts but I won’t return to the Verde. My lungs could fail at any time.
As always, all the services were perfect, and we’ve been coming here for many years. Every Autumn.
We would definitely appreciate more gluten-free options, given our gluten allergy. That even grilled meat or fish are placed on tortilas which is good go lowerin fat but danger for alergic.
We’d like to thank the receptionist, Elif, for her excellent, friendly, and professional service. We’d especially like to thank and praise the housekeeping staff, particularly Asma, and the special team that takes care of the towels by the pool.
If I could give this resort 10 balloons I would. I came here for a competitive swim training retreat. From the minute I walked through the door, I knew this was a special place. The property is beautiful a well maintained. Service is wonderful. It’s a large resort catering it seems mostly to British, Greek, and Turkish travelers. There are a lot of people, but the resort never seems crowded. The food is included and served buffet style. I haven’t had good experiences with buffets, but Gloria Verde’s buffet was way over the top especially the deserts and breakfast pastries. Everything is obviously made from scratch. I’m crazy about Baklava and they have like 6 kinds. I didn’t even know there were six kinds of baklava. This place has spoiled me for baklava forever. If you don’t fancy the buffet, there are many “à la carte” restaurants on the property. The sports complex which is why I came here is a 15 minute shuttle ride from the resort. Again, just super impressive. They have 3 pools. And indoor 25 meter pool, and outdoor 50 meter pool, and a diving pool that doubles as a 25 meter pool. The complex has huge meeting rooms, and also training facilities for wrestling, weight lifting, soccer (2 fields), track and field (2 Olympic size tracks), archery, golf, and gymnastics. I hope one day I have an excuse to come back here. It was great.
We stayed in a Garden Family Room which was great as it allowed our twin 3 year olds to sleep in one room separated from us by a little entrance. It allows you to go to the bathroom or leave the hotel room without waking the kids up. We got bed guards and prams from the hotel and they were good quality. The only bad thing was a little grime on the shower door.
The Mythos buffet was varied and fresh. Lunch at Verde has brilliant grilled food and Mexican. At Neptune bar you get tasty pizzas ane burgers. Easy to get drinks. I usually tipped 100-200 Turkish Lira at meals. Apart from at La Famosa (a la Carte) where service was amazing and I tipped 400. I didn't tip everytime at the walk up bars. I tipped luggage handlers 100 per bag.
The only other tipping I did was 100-200 to shuttle drivers the couple of times we went to the Serenity resort. Put aside roughly £20 a day for tipping. The guys work hard and that extra £150 probably helped give us an amazing experience.
The kids pool is heated with fun slides. The Serenity water park is bigger but colder but has 2 splash parks. The heated main pool and the indoor pool at Verde were great for kids (not too deep). Serenity shuttle is worth it to go tp the jungle soft play and they put good kids food on. At Verde at night, just pre-book your kids menu with guest relations and they bring it out straight away when you tell your waiter in any of the restaurants.
We had no extra charges at the end which surprised me because we ate and drank whatever we wanted anywhere we went on Verde and Serenity. Guest relations were brilliant, especially Dinara who gave us lots of info and checked everything was OK every day.
All in all. Recommend.
