- Crystal Family Resort and Spa
Ideal for families with children, this modern furnished hotel consists of 4 buildings and is located on the beach of Belek-Boğazkent, 9 km from the town of Belek, famous for its golf courses. Covering 23,000 m2, the complex features a spacious garden area and a 150m long private beach. Public transport and taxis are available from the hotel entrance providing easy access to nearby places of interest such as the old town and harbour at Antalya and the ancient cities of Perge and Aspendos. It is 50 km from the city centre and 40 km away from the Antalya International Airport. This hotel features spacious and cosy rooms with a mini bar, satellite TV, a work desk and bathroom amenities. The hotel also offers a compact facility which consists of different size of pools and Aqua Park.

We stayed here with our kids for two weeks, so good food, convenient facilities and enough activities to keep the children from getting bored were especially important to us.
Hotel layout and beach
The hotel is quite compact, with two five-storey buildings on a relatively small property, but it has all the facilities you might need. Everything is close together, which was a big advantage for us and one of the reasons we chose this hotel. You don't need to walk long distances between the beach, bar, slides, kids pool, playground, kids club and restaurants.
The kids area - pool, water slides, playground and mini club - is right next to the beach, so you can easily keep an eye on the children without leaving the beach.
The beach is sandy, but the shoreline and seabed are covered with small to medium-sized pebbles. There is also a pier with a ladder if you prefer to avoid walking over them.
We never had trouble finding a place on the beach or by the pools. There is still the usual problem of people reserving the best-located sunbeds early in the morning and then leaving them empty until noon, but since there are only four rows of sunbeds, even the back rows are still close to the beach.
The sunbeds on the beach and around both the main pool and kids pool are covered by large fixed canopy-style shades rather than individual umbrellas. This gives children some freedom to move around the sunbed areas while still staying in the shade. Part of the playground is shaded as well, but unfortunately the kids pools itself are fully exposed to the sun.
The hotel is also quite accessible. We had a stroller and had no problems getting around the property, including to the beach.
Guests and entertainment
Most guests were elderly people and families with children, mainly from Germany and Turkey, with quite a few from Poland and Russia and some from the UK.
Entertainment was mostly in Turkish and English, sometimes also repeated in German and Russian. The daytime activity programme was quite active, with darts, air-gun competitions, water volleyball, canoe races and more. The entertainment team regularly walked around inviting guests to upcoming activities, so you didn't have to keep checking the schedule.
The evening shows were quite good - nothing breathtaking, but entertaining enough. The motorcycle globe show was probably the best of them, in my opinion.
After the evening show, there was usually a disco, themed disco or karaoke at the outdoor bar, while the lobby bar had piano and other live music. I missed most of these myself, but my partner enjoyed them a lot.
The evening mini-disco was one of the weaker points for us. The songs were not particularly energetic, and our kids were not very interested in dancing. Mini-discos alternated with evening kids shows, though, and some of those were really good. The Mad Scientist Show, for example, was excellent.
Food
The food was very good and fully in line with what I would expect from a five-star hotel. This was one of the most important factors for us, as poor food over a long stay could easily spoil the whole holiday. Based on earlier reviews, we expected the food to be good, and we were not disappointed.
There was always a good selection of beef, lamb, fish and poultry, with freshly grilled food at dinner and quite often very nice skewers and steaks.
One thing I especially liked was the lack of queues. There were never any in the restaurants. My guess is that not everyone was aware of the outdoor grill section of the main restaurant, which was often one of the best food options and in many hotels would normally be extremely crowded. Otherwise, I can't really explain why it was almost always free here.
The only thing I missed was pizza in the main restaurant. It was available only during the day at the outdoor restaurant.
There is also a sushi corner next to the lobby bar, with several types of rolls available from around 6 p.m. It is worth trying once or twice, but nothing special enough to choose regularly when there are better options elsewhere in the hotel.
Gozleme and waffles were available near the outdoor restaurant during the day, but I am not a big fan of either, so I can't really comment on them.
We also skipped the a la carte restaurants, as we didn't feel the need to try them. The main restaurant was more than good enough for us.
The fruit selection was good as well. Nothing particularly exotic, but there was always a good selection of seasonal fruit. During our stay, this included melons, watermelons, grapes, mandarins, plums, pears and, of course, apples. The outdoor restaurant also had a fruit section until around 4-5 p.m., with watermelon still available afterwards.
The main restaurant and patisserie had an impressive selection of desserts, both local and Western-style. It was honestly difficult not to overdo it.
Food for kids
The main restaurant has a dedicated kids area with child-sized tables and chairs and a TV showing cartoons on a loop with the sound muted.
For us, the TV was actually a slight disadvantage, since we try to limit screen time for our kids and they would sometimes stare at it instead of eating until reminded again. On the other hand, you always know where the kids are because they tend to stay in that area.
The kids food selection was fairly standard: chicken nuggets, sausages, burgers, French fries, pasta, fresh and boiled vegetables and similar options. We never had a problem finding enough variety for them to have a reasonably balanced daily diet.
There were also jars of vegetable and fruit puree for smaller children, which was quite handy.
The ice cream freezer by the outdoor restaurant is open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., while the patisserie has ice cream available from morning until late evening - basically paradise for kids. The ice cream quality was very good.
Drinks
Drinks were also good: standard soft drinks, decent fruit juices, freshly squeezed orange juice at breakfast, Efes beer, red, white and rose wine, sparkling wine and good cocktails.
There is also an indoor beer house, which I unfortunately didn't get a chance to try, but it seemed to offer a wider beer selection.
There were only short queues at the outdoor bar during peak evening hours.
Kids club and activities
There is a kids club where children can stay for the whole day if needed. However, there are sometimes very few other children there, so they may feel a bit lonely or get bored if there aren't other kids around. The animators are always available, though, and can offer them activities.
The kids club also has some snacks available, so the children won't go hungry if they stay there for a while.
There are additional activities for children outside the kids club, such as perfume-making and mosaic workshops, daytime mini-discos and more.
Rooms and service
The rooms are a little worn, but nothing serious, and everything works properly.
The air conditioning is noisy at maximum fan speed but fine on low. It switches off automatically after about four hours, so the room can get a bit warm by morning if nobody wakes up and turns it back on.
The bathroom was also a little worn but perfectly functional, and the shower had strong water pressure.
Reception, guest relations and other staff were friendly and helpful.
Overall
Overall, this is a very good hotel for the money, especially considering that the price we paid was towards the low end for this category.
Unfortunately, Crystal Family Collection was a major disappointment for us. We stayed here with our two young children, so we were mainly looking for a peaceful, family-friendly hotel. Instead, we spent a significant part of our holiday trying to deal with various problems.
In our first room, the ventilation system/fan was extremely loud. Two technicians came to check it, but they were unable to solve the problem. Water also leaked from the shower. We were told that the noisy ventilation would be switched off at 11:00 PM, but it continued running until around 12:30 AM. With two small children, this made it very difficult to get them to sleep and to rest ourselves.
The next day, we changed rooms, but unfortunately we faced another problem. Every evening, very loud music from the neighbouring hotel could be heard inside our room. The soundproofing was extremely poor, there was a large gap under the window/door, and we could even hear noises from the room next door, including someone snoring. In the mornings, we were often woken up by cleaning noise before 9:00 AM.
However, the biggest disappointment for us was the way our complaints were handled. Reception sent us to Guest Relations, while Guest Relations sent us back to Reception. We reported the problems several times, but we never felt that our situation was being taken seriously or that anyone was genuinely trying to find a proper solution. On one occasion, I found the reaction of the reception staff particularly uncomfortable while I was trying to explain our concerns.
We were also disappointed with the food selection, especially considering that the hotel is advertised as family-friendly. We expected more suitable options for young children.
Of course, this is our personal experience, and other guests may have had a completely different stay. However, because of the constant noise, the problems with the rooms, and especially the way our complaints were handled, this was not the peaceful family holiday we had expected.
We would not choose this hotel again when travelling with young children.
We arrived at approximately 2:00 PM on August 30, 2026. At the reception, we were informed that they could not provide us with the rooms we had originally booked.
We had booked two rooms back in January 2026, and the reservation clearly included a request for the rooms to be next to each other, as we are one family.
When they saw that I was clearly unhappy with their response, they promised us that from the second day onwards, we would definitely be given the rooms we had originally booked.
We accepted this and said that we could manage one night in a different room.
The following morning, we were told that we could collect the new rooms at 1:00 PM. We understood and accepted this.
At 1:00 PM, we went to the reception expecting to receive the new rooms. However, we were then informed that my brother and his family’s new room was ready, but ours was not, and that we would only be able to move into our room at 2:00 PM.
At this point, the manager came out personally to inform us about the delay. If I remember his name correctly, it was Niyazi — I apologize if I have remembered the name incorrectly.
This was the point where my patience finally ran out. I raised my voice and expressed my frustration because I simply could not understand how they could keep making promises and then changing them.
We were travelling with two small children and a stroller. We had already accepted spending one night in an unpleasant-smelling room on a floor without an elevator. We had to carry all of our luggage, the stroller, and everything else up and down ourselves, including with the children, because nobody offered any assistance whatsoever.
The manager tried to calm me down and explained that all of their rooms were fully occupied, etc. However, at that point, this was no longer something I could accept as an excuse.
Eventually, he said that they would try to have our room ready by 1:30 PM. I told him that if I had to wait, I would return at 2:00 PM as they had originally told us, and I specifically requested that our new room card be prepared next to my brother’s family’s room.
At 2:00 PM, we finally received our new room. It was indeed on the same floor as my brother’s family, but it was approximately five rooms away from theirs. By that point, however, this was the least of my concerns after everything that had happened.
I would also like to mention that communication in English with the hotel staff was extremely difficult. Neither the reception staff nor the manager seemed to speak even basic English. They relied on Google Translate for communication. Whatever I said to them, they would smile politely, nod, and repeatedly say, “Yes, yes.” :)))
Apart from this incident, however, we had a pleasant holiday at the Crystal Family Comfort Hotel.
We liked the fact that everything was conveniently located, and the food and service were generally good. The beach was also very child-friendly. As a family travelling with young children, we were happy that the little ones also had a great time.
Overall, we enjoyed our holiday, but the problems we experienced with our room arrangements and the communication with the hotel staff were extremely frustrating and left a negative impression on us.
The hotel location was excellent, nearby the sea, atmosphere was vibrating all the time room service excellent Plenty of fun for kids, adults all day long Food was amazing.
Location is excellent, easy access to all pools as well as the beach if preferable. (Is about an hour from airport with any kind of traffic though) Liked the entertainment team, bars, rooms were good (didn't spend a lot of time in them) Nice atmosphere around the resort too, and the entertainment team did a great job of keeping everyone happy! The nightly shows were all very high quality, by far the most professional shows I've come across in this kind of resort. In general the staff were all very friendly (with a few exceptions, but nothing too major) and the cleaner on our floor was especially friendly. My kids loved the towel animals that she made everyday!
The only real downside was the food, the buffet had good options, but maybe a little too much, as it seemed without fail that the food had gone a little dried out as had probably been cooked fresh a while earlier. Possibly a case of trying to do too much. The a la carte restaurants were decent, but imposed a very strange rule where a family had to all go for the same menu (Italian, Turkish, Seafood or Latin American) rather than someone getting seafood and someone else getting Italian. Seemed a very strange rule when all the food literally came from the same kitchen located right beside the seating area!
Overall happy with the hotel, it was good value on it's own, however some of the internal shops are overpriced with some being a little pushy (photography place in particular were extremely pushy, and very expensive)
