My husband and I had a wonderful holiday at this hotel, its location is perfect with a fabulous view of the sea. Even though it’s on the promenade it is a very peaceful hotel. We stayed in a superior room and it was fabulous to have such a spacious patio with sun beds, made the holiday so relaxing. The staff are all amazing, make you feel extremely welcome and nothing is too much trouble. The bar staff are very attentive and even when it’s very busy service is excellent. We throughly enjoyed the evening entertainment which was every night and very good. We enjoyed both breakfast and evening meal where there was always a delicious and varied choice. The hotel is a little tired in some areas but this did not lesson the enjoyment of our holiday in any way, It is not always I e mail a hotel to thank them but this hotel deserved a big thank you. See you next year, already booked
This was the first time at this hotel and probably the last, the room decor was dated very few draw spaces the room was dirty, only one bedside light which was faulty, the air conditioning in the public spaces was non existent, if you are a smoker this place is the one for you but we are non smokers especially in the pool cafe the smoke just kept drifting in, the only plus for us if you like quizzes and aqua aerobics the lady who did this was great
We have stayed in this hotel before and were very happy. This time we arrived at 11pm there was no welcome drink and no food left for us even though we had paid for half board. Last time there was food left in the room and a welcome drink. We asked for a safety deposit box and was told come back in the morning. We have had a lovely time but the little touches have gone.
Had a fantastic time in the H10 Big Sur staff were extremely helpful and friendly rooms where cleaned every day. Breakfast was amazing loads to choose from . The add extras we received every day was so unexpected and extremely thought will definitely be back .
Arriving at the Hotel we were suitably impressed with the decor and booking in experience. Sadly, once we got our our room our impression changed. Our room looked small and pretty basic with the smallest balcony we have ever had. The bathroom was tired and there were signs of mould round the bottom of the shower and the shower tray was worn and very slippy when wet! meal. The bottom of the wall tiles were dark and stained. The resturaunt was okay, we enjoyed the outdoor eating at breakfast and evening meal. Breakfast was fine, lots of choice and we had no complaints. Evening meals were not up to the standard we are used to at other 4 **** hotels. Food was in dishes that were not heated meaning at best it was warm when we took our choices. There was always a queue for food cooked by the chef (steaks fish etc) and other choices were quite bland. The salad bar was also poor . Sweets choices were generally good but it was impossible to get a coffee, we had to go to the bar and order our own. The Bar was good, the waiters were always happy and quick to serve us. Entertainment in the evening was of a good proffesional standard. Laura (Animation) was outstanding, she worked hard every day to keep guests entertained with games and poolside quizes. Generally this Boutique hotel is not what we expected and we wont be back. The actual location is very good for getting out and about to the shops and bars.
