Surrounded by a lush vegetation, offering a real paradise retreat, this fantastic resort enjoys an idyllic location on the banks of Los Cristianos bay, overlooking the old fishing port and La Gomera Island. Shopping venues are located roughly 500 m from the hotel and public transport departs from a stop that lies just 600 m away. Guests may spend the day on the beach, practicing some water sports, or soak up the sun at one of the three swimming pools, while sipping a refreshing drink or a delicious cocktail from the pool bar. Before preparing for dinner, travellers may want to relax in their comfortable rooms, while watching the TV or enjoying a stunning lateral or front sea view. Guests may not leave the resort without visiting the wellness area and try some of the treatments on offer such as a relaxing massage or body wraps. Other facilities include a piano bar, a varied entertainment programme and a fantastic sauna where visitors may enjoy some relaxing moments.

Great holiday
We are just coming to the end of a ten night stay at this hotel. Stayed on a B&B basis, breakfast had good array of all the choices one would expect from a four star hotel. Plentiful supply of sun beds and parasols, even on days when we only arrived at the pool in the afternoon. Didn’t avail of evening entertainment - although the piano players 6-7pm were excellent . We strolled c 15/20 mins to the main port area in the evening to eat - there’s a good choice of restaurants, esp if you research recommendations in advance, and for restaurants like Damian’s Tapa’s Bar (fab!), booking is necessary. We were in room 642 with gorgeous views out over the bay. Good walk in shower and plenty of storage in the bedroom. Cold water dispenser and recycling facilities outside in the corridor. A very relaxing atmosphere throughout the hotel - aqua aerobics each day at noon, but otherwise peaceful tranquility is the order of the day.

Had a wonderful stay would recommend to anyone. Beautiful hotel and you’re treated so well by all the staff. Loved all the little touches like a drink on arrival, random free drinks at noon etc. Special shout out to the entertainment lady (name beginning with B but I forgot sorry!!) was such great fun. We got stuck into lots of the activities that were on during the day lots of fun. Pleasantly surprised by the food different options every night. Excellent location right by the seafront. Never had trouble finding a sun lounger by the pool even with the hotel being fully booked. If I’m being very picky these are a couple things.. I’m vegan and although I contacted the hotel in advance and spoke to the manager of the restaurant they couldn’t help at all so I did take a while reading all the allergen labels but I did find something every night. The only other ‘negative’ was we booked a 3 single bed room and one of the beds weren’t that comfortable as it was a pop up temporary bed. Other than that probably the best hotel expensive overall I’ve had and would visit again.
Beautiful Hotel
Decided to stay at the Spring Arona Gran after reading reviews. The hotel has fantastic views of the bay, the hotel is immaculate and the pool area is beautiful. Staff were attentive and friendly. The morning and evening buffets had plenty of choice and the food was delicious, far better than other 4* hotels we have visited over the years. We used the UP Terrace on while we were there would recommend it. There were plenty of sun loungers available. The only downside for us was the quality of entertainment, which could have been better. We will definitely return.

Hot,hot,hot
This hotel has been on our wish list for some time and didn’t disappoint. We arrived after 10:00 PM and checked in with a glass of cava, as we had missed dinner there was a cold buffet laid on in the restaurant. The hotel is large but doesn’t have the largest footprint, so sunbed space around the pools is prized. There were the inevitable ‘dawn patrollers’ placing towels from just after 7, the pool men did take them off unoccupied beds on a couple of occasions, but didn’t deter the determined! Sun beds have cushions which are more comfortable but can get very hot in the sun! The pools were refreshing given the temps that we encountered, but didn’t use the jacuzzi. There was waiter drinks service for those who wanted a drink brought to their sun beds. The room was large and comfortable with a table and two small easy chairs in addition to the beds, the aircon had to work overtime to keep the room cool but did it well. The bathroom was unspectacular with rain shower and normal shower head. Towels were changed almost daily and housekeeping made up the room early, often whilst we were at breakfast, muchas gracias. There was a reasonable sized balcony with a couple of reclining chairs and the addition of a wind out sunshade, a nice touch! The food was the highlight of the hotel, probably the best we have encountered anywhere in Europe, with so many choices for both breakfast and dinner it really was a diners delight. Hotel drinks were reasonably priced and a supermarket across the road was on hand for anything else, there were also water dispensers on each floor where you could refill your bottle with cold water, a nice touch. We were able, for a small charge keep our room till mid afternoon on our last day, and use the spa facilities to shower. Speaking to other guests it was clear that many were repeat visitors so that speaks for itself. There was outdoor entertainment every evening, singers, groups and acrobats, all good and enjoyed from our balcony! Given that we only booked three days before we grabbed ourselves a bargain!

Excellent as ever we visit twice a year july and December hotel Excellent staff Excellent I think some people like to moan about anything the only down side is miserable guests your on holiday smile be back there again soon 😀
