The hotel is located next to a small natural beach with small coves available to our guests. The hotel SBH Royal Mónica features expansive facilities with large, bright rooms decorated with modern and attractive furnishings. The gastronomy is another strength at the hotel SBH Royal Mónica and is present in different areas of the hotel (snack bar and restaurant).
The centre of Playa Blanca is just 4 km away and you can get there if you wish by taking a pleasant walk along the maritime walkway next to the hotel or by public transport via the suburban trains.
The paradisiacal beaches of Papagayo are approximately ten minutes away by car. Also quite close to the hotel (around 15 km) is the Timanfaya National Park, also known as Montañas de Fuego (Fire Mountains), and El Golfo, a picturesque fishing village where you can enjoy their rich gastronomic offering based on top quality fresh fish and seafood. If you'd like to visit the neighbouring island, Fuerteventura, there are several daily connections by boat from the Playa Blanca port. The journey only takes 20 minutes.
Location is amazing, close to the sea, and only cheap taxi to playa blanca. Great snorkeling on the private beach. The swimming at the pool is a decent size and plenty if beds, entertainment team work hard to get people involved in games throughout the day and all we're approachable and uplifting. The food generally was pretty good but lunch at the pool could have more variety but the option to go to the main restaurant is there. Experience with the staff was mixed, entertainment team were all excellent and there were a couple of decent waiters. We stayed all inclusive the beer was fine (Amstel) but only one option, the wine was cheap, Sangria was nice, cocktails low alcohol and cheap. This could be improved greatly and the bar stopping for all inclusive at 2300 could be later.
Worse experience ever Royal Monica Hotel food posning no kettle no fridge old tellavion leaking water in restaurant roof
Stayed hear for a week i would never return First night we arrived checked in was fine until we seen our room no fridge no kettle air con not working fan not working back to reception to be told come back tomorrow just sleep with door open we were on the ground floor not a chance. Back to reception £10for air con returnable did not work staff at reception are so ignorant and dont care eventually got a small fan hopeless. Dinning room run down had to sit outside as no air con food was just ok. Deserts disgusting.
Pool was terrible tiles broken in pool pool bar so run down again staff ignorant if you are French your OK
The animation team are spot on how the work there is beyond me

Location: Far out prepare to walk or a taxi is about €7.50 - €8. Rooms: Dated but clean, Cleaning staff cleaned the rooms 5 outta the 7 days we were there. Atmosphere: Very good from the Reception staff, dinning complex staff, Cleaning staff and the bar staff all went out of the way to help. Food: Plenty of choice and loads there, food was lovely throughout.
Overall this holiday was a great one one downside was no fridge in the room.
Damp in room, electric socket hanging out of wall, holes in curtains, room curtains and bedding stinking of cigarettes. Rusty bath. Shower holder broken had to hold shower. Cupboards filthy had to keep clothes in suitcase. Bed old and worn scared to move it rocked so much.
