This is a four star haven where you can relax, unwind, and really enjoy yourself at leisure.
The facilities here are excellent, with plenty of options to keep you entertained. As well as a choice of inviting swimming pools and sun terraces, you might also like to try out the spa or opt for a rejuvenating sauna or massage. Sporty types will love having the gym and tennis court on hand. And gourmets will savour the choices presented in no less than five restaurants, each with its own ambience. After dinner, there's often entertainment offered as well as a disco.
Double rooms are nicely furnished and feature a balcony or terrace, air conditioning, satellite television, telephone, hairdryer, safety deposit box* and minibar* (upon request). Rooms with a sea view are also available at a supplement.

Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
This 4-star hotel is ideally located on the beachfront of Las Coloradas, between Playa Blanca village and Papagayo Beach, on the south coast of Lanzarote. From the hotel you can enjoy stunning views of Fuerteventura and Lobos Island. The hotel offers guests a free shuttle service to Playa Dorada Beach four times a day.
Unfortunately, our experience at this hotel has been extremely disappointing.
When we arrived, our room wasn’t ready until around 4pm despite arriving at approximately 12pm, meaning we spent around four hours waiting for our room.
The room itself then had ongoing problems, including a shower that was freezing. After putting up with it, I finally went to reception today and asked to be moved. I was told to pack all of our belongings immediately and return to reception, so I did exactly that.
When I returned, I was then told the new room wasn’t ready and had to leave all of our luggage in the luggage room. I needed to shower, but the spa shower we were directed to use had no hot water and no shower gel. We were then left waiting for another approximately four hours before the new room was finally ready.
When we finally got the replacement room, we were shocked to find that it directly overlooks an active building site. We were told this was one of the better available options and that there would be a nice view. When I raised my concerns, I was essentially told that this was the best they could do and that only two rooms were available.
I understand that hotels can have maintenance issues and that rooms can sometimes be unavailable. What I find unacceptable is the way this was handled and the amount of our holiday we have lost dealing with these problems.
Between waiting for our room on arrival and waiting for a replacement room today, approximately eight hours of our holiday have been spent dealing with accommodation issues.
I paid a significant amount for this holiday and expected a much higher standard from a four-star hotel. Unfortunately, I would not currently recommend this hotel based on our experience.
Five stars because this place was much better than expected. The reception staff were lovely and helpful, though the bar and waiting staff were a bit average and not particularly friendly. The evening entertainment was good and held in a nice setting, though a funny complaint is that they kept playing Proud Mary over and over—hearing someone yell about rolling on the river five times in four days was quite something. The pool area was nice with no issues getting a sunbed, and they enforce a proper rule stating no sunbeds can be reserved before nine in the morning. The food was pretty good with a wide variety to choose from, and it is a pleasant twenty-five-minute walk to Marina Rubicon. Overall, I would definitely come back here if I return to Lanzarote.
We took our daughter for a short break at this hotel to celebrate an achievement in her life.
Booked at short notice, emailed the hotel requesting potential of rooms nearby to which they responded promptly and on arrival they had allocated next door rooms. Friendly welcome and speedy check in with everything explained well. We utilised the option of the safe in one of the rooms which was simple and not overly expensive. Rooms spacious, toiletries provided and balcony was also a good size with view out to the land area capturing the sea as well.
Hotel has obviously been there for a good few years however that said it was nice and clean, felt safe and the staff made you feel welcome. They are doing some work to the steps area down to the sea and out the back but this didn't cause issues.
Lovely views out to the back of the hotel over the land and out to sea as well including Fuerteventura. No shortage of bathing areas and plenty sunbeds available during the day. Also bathing areas overlooking the sea away from the pools are worth a shot as they afford great vies over the sea.
Wife and daughter found the spa good and the gym was also good as well with a good range of machinery and small amount of free weights as well. The gym wasn't busy at all.
For a fussy eater I have to say that the food on offer was brilliant. We all enjoyed breakfast, lunch and evening meal with lots to choose from. Never found items over or under cooked and the meat options tended to be nice and tender as well. Chocolate fountain was nice and the snack bar area including through the night was also great. We also booked and took advantage of the fusion eating for Oriental and Mexican nights. Wife and daughter enjoyed meals at both, being fussy I ate the Chinese but not the Mexican however that said I just made my way up and had a nice meal in the normal restaurant. No issues trying to get a seat in the restaurant with choice of either outdoor or indoor seating.
Plenty juice during the day including fill your own containers, could also get lager and wine as well or slushes.
Bar at night was also good, the 2 ladies working there were very nice and friendly as well.
Access for less mobile was also fine, wife hired a mobility scooter through reception and it was ideal with no issues getting round the hotel at all using the scooter or on her crutches.
Staff also arranged taxis without any issue and the courtesy bus to the town centre was also great with the driver being friendly. We got a shower room for before we went to the evening flight, just need to book it on the morning of departure. The luggage storage room is small so get in there early.
2 small shops in the hotel, plenty open area to sit inside with comfy seats, few pool tables and card tables on one of the floors as well.
Lovely area, the hotel is right on the edge of the town providing a great walk out the back over the land area down to lovely beaches. A small shopping centre just down from the entrance. A nice walk into town along the sea front path passing through small marina on the way.
We done a trip to the salt fields, the green lake, Timafaya and the wine place which was really interesting and great to see.
A short trip on the ferry from the harbour to Fuerteventura for a walk around the town there on arrival. We done the outdoor seats on the small Fred Olson going over and were lucky to see the flying fish just after the half way mark then on the approach to harbour. (google confirmed that's what they were confirming they feature heavy on that crossing area). Would miss this opportunity on the larger ferry which we got back.
Would we return? Having went to the same place in the south of France for the last 10 years having 2 trips a year for the last 3 there it is our intention to return to Sandos Papagayo next year instead!
Hotel was definitely ok but a few tweaks would have made it much better.
Room was spacious and clean. Bed very comfy. Bathroom was lovely although the shower heads were covered in mould and needed a good clean. Both rooms in need of an upgrade.
Food in the buffet was generally ok. Lots overcooked and tepid and not sure how puddings however lovely to look at could be so tasteless…but thoroughly enjoyed the pasta dishes cooked to order. Plenty of salads and fruit available. Tables often looked grubby though and on more than one occasion saw the staff brushing crumbs onto the floor when wiping them down. Lots of bird droppings on tables and chairs outdoors. Themed restaurant was ok for change but staff very dismissive and no time taken to explain how the system of serving drinks/ food worked. (Only bottles of wine are ‘dumped’ on the table).
Pool beds looked grubby although to be fair, the staff around the pool worked hard to keep the areas clean and tidy and were helpful moving umbrellas etc.
The animation team were great and evening entertainment was varied and fun.
Definitely worth going back again if the price is right.
Coach service from Dorado beach to the hotel meet with a grumpy driver for the return trip 2 years in a row… don’t like your job then don’t do it. We was early to not miss the coach and very thankful.. would of got a tip but the rudeness boarding we passed on it
