There's so much to look forward to at the delightful Sandos Atlantic Gardens in sunny Lanzarote. This laid-back resort has been designed with guest enjoyment in mind. There's plenty of choice when it comes to things to do including the fantastic pools with sun terrace and loungers, the glorious beach, and various sporting activities including tennis, volleyball, mini golf and a gym. Pretty bungalow style accommodation is nestled amongst the palm trees around the resort. One-Bedroom Bungalows with their own lounge area offer individually controlled air-conditioning/heating, a terrace with garden views and patio. Unfortunately this was not the best holiday we have been on, the only place what was clean was our rooms, everywhere else was never cleaned, pool area was filthy, rubbish not moved for days, this was only done when one person complained to the manager and then for that day only staff were everywhere, however because this had been left for days, so many bugs. Also this is the first holiday that I have not used the pool, which was also not cleaned. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. I think easyJet should have someone to check this hotel, because it does not meet standards.

A different take
Balanced Review – A Different Experience
While some guests may have had issues, our experience at the hotel was quite different. Yes, the hotel is a little dated in places, but the bungalow-style accommodation was a real plus. Having our own private terrace at the front and a small enclosed area at the rear made it peaceful, and the lounge area with a TV (including British channels, which we only discovered today!) was a nice touch.
Food has been consistently good, with a reliable choice of fish, meats, salads and hot plates always ready. Some dishes were simple, but always fresh and enjoyable. The waiters and bar staff worked hard, were polite, and we never experienced long waits at the pool bar.
The grounds around the hotel were kept tidy, and although sunbed‑blocking was an issue caused by certain guests, that’s not the hotel’s fault. If you want a parasol, you may need to join the early risers.
Location-wise, it’s around a 25‑minute walk to Playa Blanca and another 15 minutes to the Rubicón Marina, or roughly €6–7 in a taxi. What the hotel does offer is a chilled atmosphere, good food, hardworking staff, and genuinely enjoyable activities like the tai chi and sound bowl sessions.
For a peak‑August holiday, the hotel offered excellent value for money. As always, what doesn’t suit one person can be exactly what another enjoys — so come with an open mind and you may find it’s just right for you.

If you're looking for utter relaxation- this is where to go!
My husband and I are on our final day of our Holiday at Sandos Atlantic Gardens and we cannot speak highly enough of it. From the moment we checked in, staff could not do enough to make our stay comfortable and joyous. They are incredibly attentive to your needs. Our room was beautiful. It was absolutely pristine when we arrived and was cleaned thoroughly every day. The food was always varied, warm and tasty and I would say better than many all inclusives. The cocktails are strong and the white wine is fabulous. The hotel is incredibly relaxing, with the lack of music and inflatables round the pool being exactly how we like it. Yes, the hotel could do with some modernisation, and I do feel that the pools could be cleaned more regularly and thoroughly but nether if these facts would stop me from returning or recommending. We are a couple in our late 20s/early 30s and by no means felt out of place as other reviews have suggested. Guests span a wide age range and are really friendly. Finally, please take up the opportunity to engage in the sound bath ran by Frank. It was beautiful. We will absolutely book to visit here again in the future when we need our next relaxing trip.

Enjoyable stay
We've just come back from a weeks stay and this review is based on our experience. Rooms - clean and tidy. Staff helpful, friendly and approachable. Atmosphere - quiet and relaxing. When we stayed there were other families with older children. We took our 16+ son its not all OAP's. Food and Drink - Excellent our daughter is Coeliac and she was catered for and looked after very well. Hugo and Victor are a credit to your team a big thank you to them both. This hotel provides a seperate toaster and staff were also aware of the cross contamination. Would we stay again Yes. Thank you Sandos Atlantic Gardens for a wonderful stay.

Ignore the negatives
The management must be quite puzzled at times with the reviews. We stayed last winter, had a great time and have booked again for next year. The blue and white bungalows are lovely - we loved the white painted walls and the white bedding with the bright cushions. The food, drinks, staff and service were all very good indeed.
Everyone has a right to their opinion of course and the hotel would not be able to please everyone all of the time. We dont get the comments about being dated` though. No one is specific about this - quite puzzling - do they mean the colour of the curtains, pictures on the wall, maybe the showers. For those wishing to go just ignore the negatives and enjoy what is on offer.
