Wonderful stay at princesa. Special kudos to The football camp and their 2 amazing trainers! This is a real benefit for our children to play football and my 2 sons really enjoyed sharing with the other kids. thank you for taking good care of them.
This hotel really has everything needed in one place for a relaxing holiday, be it a solo break or a family getaway. Staff are very friendly and helpful and the hotel is spotless! Just a few steps to the beach front so easy access to the main area of Playa Blanca.
Our children had four fantastic sessions with Gary and Scott on our holiday and we would fully recommend the camp to any family. The atmosphere was always positive and the whole group really enjoyed themselves.
This is a huge but really well organised, clean, welcoming and fun resort! We booked a two bedroom family suite which is located in Annexe D - easily reached via an underpass connecting it to the main resort. The suite was clean, spacious, quiet and comfortable. The toiletries are ok but if you like me like having decent stuff for your hair etc just bring some! There’s a mini kitchenette too so useful to bring your own tea towel or buy a cheap one from a souvenir shop nearby so you can wash the small glasses and reuse them. It’s too small a job to trouble housekeeping though I’m sure they’d oblige if asked. Hairdryer fixed to wall in each bathroom okay strength wise. Robes, super comfortable slippers and flip flops provided. You get pool towels with a card system commonly used in such resorts.
There is decent family entertainment in the theatre every night. We enjoyed the flamenco in particular. There is lots of live music too. The walkway areas are really pretty and the whole resort is attractive and well maintained with friendly staff everywhere too. There is a huge separate kids club (Capitan Park) which a great schedule of events to dip in and out of if your children wish to. Just register them on the app when you arrive and use the app to check out the latest events in resort. This is for up to age 12/13 but really it’s geared towards younger ones and seems a lovely set up for them. The evening dream club is 75EU per child. We didn’t use this so can’t comment further but the staff seemed lovely and switched on.
Breakfast was excellent - lots of choice and fresh, tasty food and drink every day.
Many restaurants and bars to choose from including a Japanese tepoanyaki and pizzeria in resort though they are pricy compared to external restaurants and there are many, many places to eat nearby within a ten minute walk in most cases e.g. near the Marina Rubicon. The night we landed we just ate at the main buffet which was 57EU for anyone 12 and above (steep for a child to be honest) and around 30EU for under 12s. But the food was delicious! The Iberican hams really were so much better than the usual fare you get back home.
Plenty of choice for pools too. We tended to stay at the family suite pool area which was not too busy and you could always get sunbeds and this is where the very popular Aquasplash took place some afternoons. The pool was a great temperature and kept clean throughout our stay.
The hotel is in an absolutely brilliant location between Playa Blanca and Marina Rubicon - easy to get everywhere on foot including the pretty but very busy nearby beach. Lots of cafes, restaurants and shops nearby including a supermarket really close to Annexe D (a Hiperdino Express which had most things you might want or need).
We have booked a car to explore a bit too but for now we are enjoying a relaxing holiday in a really fantastic family friendly resort. Would definitely recommend to others.
This was our second stay at Princess Yaiza (which we were beyond impressed and humbled that the hotel remarked upon with a hand written note!) this along with some extra little touches such as a beach bag and small treats are the little touches that set a bar which other hotels trail behind! From the moment you set foot in the beautiful double height and airy foyer (and having had your luggage assisted by the fantastic concierge) you just exhale a deep and long breath and you feel “at-home” with the bonus of luxury and some of the friendliest staff I have met in several trips to Playa Blanca. To say the staff are just friendly is an understatement. They along with the facilities and hotel itself, are what make the Princess Yaiza stand above all other hotels in the region. They are professional, courteous, go above and beyond to assist. They have such a pleasant demeanour it’s infectious! We had a Standard Suite (with sea view) in Block C at Level 2 which is level with the family pool area. We previously similarly stayed at Level 5 in Block B, which along with Block C is again an ideal location for those wishing to be close to the main reception, restaurants and soft play area. For kids this hotel along with the facilities - multiple pool options, soft play area, Kids club has some of the most upbeat, happy and hardworking Team Animación we have come across in several family holidays who provide truly entertaining and engaging mini-disco/evening entertainment. We have opted for B&B on this stay having previously done the Half Board as we wished to explore some of the local cuisine however we found ourselves returning to the hotels own restaurants which are first class! We will 110% be back!
