Mynd Yaiza

First time in playa blanca,but have been to Lanzarote every year for many years but came with family so decided to try a different resort and after look at many hotels decided to try mynd yaiza,once reading the reviews!! Had an early flight so arrived at twelve o clock,went to check in on arriving and told we couldn't check in till three,so we sat in reception for over three and a half hours till our room was ready, offered one drink while waiting!! I have never before had to wait to check in a hotel,on a package holiday,so had we been aware of this would of either come on a later flight or packed suitable clothing to wear in a backpack,so at least while waiting for our room we could put more comfortable clothing on,so at least we could of explored the area, while waiting to check in!! We wasn't the only ones waiting,but throughout our week there,did notice, people being checked in well before three, mainly Spanish visitors!! I do think the company selling the holiday (TUI),for us,need to make people aware of check in time, especially people with kid's!! The room was clean,modern,did fins it a little dark and because you have people walking past,can't open curtains etc!! The credit system is a great idea, definitely a thing other hotels should maybe look at!! Breakfast is ok,gets a bit boring,tried all the different coffees and they all were not good,so if you like a good cup of coffee,I would definitely take your own!! Evening buffet is not good either,which if you look at other reviews,it's often bought up,so it does need addressing but obviously not so far!! The pool area in fact majority of the hotel is clean and modern,I did get a drink from the bar one day the glass was disgusting and not clean,it had a rim of a drink that had obviously been in beds,so glass not cleaned properly ( photo supplied)!! The food in the daytime from the restaurant, although was better than the evening buffet,did have a limited menu!! I've left lots of reviews of hotels, restaurants etc and I am not one to pick fault,so when I don't agree with mostly great reviews it is for genuine reasons,one member of staff really stood out for me, didn't get his name,but he worked on reception,spoke really good English,always said hello if we saw him through out the day,young guy with glasses!! Other than the one guy and older gentleman at reception,I can honestly say I didn't find the staff very friendly!!

We had a fantastic stay and would definitely return. The hotel is immaculate throughout, and every member of staff was friendly, welcoming, and incredibly helpful. One of the best features is the half-board credit system. Instead of being tied to the evening meal, you can use your credit towards drinks, snacks, and other food options, giving you much more flexibility. It means you can head out for the evening without feeling like you've wasted your meal allowance. The hotel has so many pools that it was always easy to find a sunbed, and thankfully there were no "sunbed wars"! There are separate family and relaxation pool areas, so there's something for everyone. The location is excellent, just a 5–10 minute stroll along the beautiful seafront to either the marina or the main town. It's a lovely walk with stunning sea views. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the pool areas are amazing, and there are plenty of activities available throughout the day. Overall, this is a fantastic hotel that offers excellent value, great facilities, and a brilliant atmosphere. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wouldn't hesitate to come back. Highly recommended!
