- Livvo Volcan Lanzarote

This sophisticated resort is located on the south of the island of Lanzarote, in front of the sea and only 10 kilometres from Timanfaya National Park and around 900 metres from the picturesque fishing village of Playa Blanca. The hotel was designed as a typical village of Lanzarote, with romantic courtyards and traditional spots. In fact, the entrance is a replica of Teguise's church, Our Lady of Guadalupe. This hotel stands out for its singular architecture and its refined service, thus becoming an icon of high-end tourism. All rooms have a living room with a sofa as well as a complete range of features, such as a pillow and sheet menu as well as a private en-suite bathroom with exclusive toiletries.
7 days early/mid July 2026 With family
Not one to normally write reviews but this hotel is Poor for what could be a great. Rarely did we see a manager and the place lacks management. I Emailed manager mid way through stay but got no response
Pool/snack bar and afternoon options are disgraceful for what is expected of this hotel Staff were kinda friendly but lacked training in bar work /management and lacked any drive to offer better services The restaurant only opened about 2 hours in afternoon The food a snack bar finished at 15:45 but on info it’s 16:30 Never did i see the evening/night bar open. Seemed closed or closed very early,, was supposed to be open till 12:30 but look in a few days and was already closed by 11 and didn’t look like it had been opened
Pool bar - over our 7 days
Someday you ordered inside , other days they said no it was at table service only ( which was very slow with only 2 staff.
Security felt safe but , very easy to jump over low wall and would regularly see non guest people use the hotel as a cut through from the top road to the marina
Breakfast was decent but , breads weren’t always fresh,, hot items not kept fresh sometimes , hash browns were Aldi level, sausage were cheap frankfurter type.
No Kids club and little or no entertainments most days
Rooms are good, a little dated, kept very well by housekeepers No towel rail for pool towels
While there a 5-6 person camera crew were around a few days and would just walk in your relaxed environment and start doing their thing without any consideration to the hotel guests
If you are leaving late in day the only room to change clothes in is a disabled toilet/ slash wet room that has no where for to put clothes
Life guards on duty’s at all pools and are vigilant
Plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas but will need to be up about 7- 7:45 for the good spots, pool towels are on the tin side
Reception staff friendliness were hit and Miss,, but luggage staff were good as to be expected
Location is great right in the heart of the beautiful marina but but it’s about 20mins walk to playa blanca centre only €4/5 in taxi
The Livvo Volcan is situated at the quiet end of Playa Blanca which was perfect for us as we wanted a peaceful holdiay. The hotel itself was beautiful and spotlessly clean. The staff were helpful and worked hard. Housekeeping were excellent. The rooms we had were huge and had a fabulous view over the pool and the sea beyond the marina. Our bathroom had a very powerful shower over the bath, double sinks and a separate toilet. Loved the Rituals toiletries in the bathroom. Two big wardrobes (safe inside) that led into the bedroom area (huge TV, vanity area, tea/coffee making facilities - replenished daily - mini fridge) and then into a seating area with a small sofa and 2 chairs. The balcony had a couple of chairs and a small side table. Could have done with an umbrella as it got the sun all day! Breakfast was amazing and could not fault it. We also ate at hotel 3 nights for €25 each as my son (17 years) loves a buffet and there was plenty of choice but we enjoyed eating at some of the restaurants near the marina more. Entertainment was generally from 9.30-10.30 pm each evening and was a singer(s) which we appreciated, especially the candlelit night in the church area. My son enjoyed a game of pool and ping pong each day. The pool was stunning and my only small niggle was the usual sunbed reserving that went on but I'm yet to stay at a hotel that manages this. We still got a sunbed but in the garden area (bearing in mind we didn't go at the height of the school holidays). We totally enjoyed the vibe of this holiday and found it super relaxing. We definitely hope to be back at some stage.
Very peaceful super clean and food was amazing spoilt for choice lots of levels so a bit of walking 2 of the pools where heated absolutely lovely if I went again I would consider the club side All in all easy 5 star
We pride ourselves on never returning to a place but the Livvo Vulcan and Lanzarote have our heart and we are thinking about our next trip out already. The hotels architecture is stunning, you feel you are somewhere really special. Then you see the pools, the upper level need a little TLC but the main pool is beautiful and kept very clean. The rooms are great and again kept very clean. We had no view this time but in all honesty we sit in the room or by the pool so don’t need to sit on a balcony. Breakfast is great, there is something for every taste. What we love is how close the marina and fabulous restaurants are. It’s a five min walk to a small supermarket. I feel the hotel would benefit from small shop onsite selling cans, chocolate and crisps. Staff are pleasant, Gaby the head of customer service is great. We tried the jewellery making several times and love it. The paint and sip was great fun and it is such a lovely way to make holiday memories. Thanks for providing this entertainment. The strawberry daiquiris were something else - absolutely gorgeous - disappointingly they didn’t blend our final drink and it just wasn’t the same but hopefully it was a one off blip because I’d go back for that cocktail alone! I got a lovely bottle of fizz and balloons in room as a birthday treat which was very sweet. Our biggest issue was the towel brigade out first thing every morning. We watched one morning as families and couples would would leave them for 2-4 hours meaning others couldn’t use them. This is such poor form and would make me knock off a star if I didn’t love the place so much. If I had my way all towels would be removed after 30 minutes no show and I think staff should monitor this.
We had a wonderful and relaxing stay at this hotel. Very good food and plenty of diversity on breakfast.First time when I see that kind of entrance, the church, amazing entrance !😍😍
