Tastefully decorated 1 bedroom suites are well proportioned and have access to a terrace. The suites feature a modern bathroom, flat screen TV, telephone, safe, air-conditioning/heating, mini fridge, microwave, tea & coffee facilities. Being suites there is also a separate living room area with sofa giving you the opportunity to relax in your own space. Suites with a private terrace and sea views are available at a supplement.

What an amazing stay at Alyssa Suites! 🌴☀️
We arrived with some hesitation after reading reviews mentioning cold food, dated rooms, poor entertainment and various other negatives. Honestly, we found these reviews to be far too harsh and, in our experience, they simply weren’t accurate.
The hotel is situated in a beautiful location. A taxi is needed to get into Playa Blanca or Marina Rubicón, but the hotel makes this really easy to arrange and the prices are very reasonable — around €4 to Playa Blanca and €6 to Marina Rubicón.
The food was honestly some of the best all-inclusive food we’ve experienced. There was always a great variety, with plenty of choice at every meal. We were particularly confused by the reviews about the food being cold, as there was always food being freshly cooked in front of you, as well as plenty of other options available.
The drinks were also great. You can help yourself to drinks, and 2 cocktails of the day . On top of that, you can mix different mixers and liqueurs yourself, so there’s actually a really good range of drinks to choose from.
We also really enjoyed the entertainment. There was something on every evening, although I think it sometimes just needed the right crowd to get involved and support it. Most nights there were singers, and on a few days there was music around the pool which was really well received by the guests.
Our apartment was another highlight. It was spacious, comfortable and cleaned every single day. We had everything we needed and genuinely really enjoyed having the extra space compared with a standard hotel room.
Overall, we had such a lovely stay and would absolutely come back. After reading some of the more judgemental reviews beforehand, it was actually such a lovely surprise to arrive and find that our experience was completely different. We had a brilliant holiday and felt that Alyssa Suites offered great value, lovely facilities, friendly service and a really enjoyable all-inclusive experience ❤️
! The FOOD IS COLD AND TERRIBLE!!!! PLS DONT BOOK THIS, You will be wasting your money on absolute crappy hotel, crappy cold food and miserable, disgruntled, unwelcoming reception staff ! ONE in particular who doesnt like to be asked general questions!!!

Excellent hotel and lovely staff
We spent a lovely week here at the end of August. We are a family of 4 with 2 teen girls aged 17 & 14. We were initially a bit concerned from some of the comments saying it was run down and should be 3*, but we needn’t have worried. Yes the pool bar is a bit run down, the furniture is old and wobbles but the staff are lovely and being able to help yourself to drinks is a great idea. You will need a euro for a cup but it’s refunded when you have finished getting drinks for the day from that bar.
The food was ok, actually better than some 4* hotels we’ve stayed in. Lots to choose from and varied every day. We only did the evening buffet twice as we like to go out in the evening for meals but both meals were very nice. There were a couple of times that we’d been out in the day and missed the lunch times but there’s snacks at the pool bar when the restaurant isn’t open so you’ll never go hungry.
The room was great, spacious and clean. The housekeeping came daily. The downsides were the beds were a bit hard and if you had a shower after 4pm it was freezing!!
The pool was lovely, clean plenty of sun beds as long as you're not fussy about where you sit. We didn’t get up before 8am any of the days we were there and even went for breakfast before choosing a bed. The pool opens at 10 only because there’s no lifeguard before that. It was cold but not so cold you couldn’t get in it and it warmed up once swimming. It does say on the rules that no floats are allowed but there were plenty of them around being used.
The entertainment was ok. The guy who does it during the day was trying to get people involved in his activities but most people weren’t interested, us included! But I’ll give him 10/10 for effort. The evening entertainment was mostly the same every night, live music, disco music or karaoke. We had a room right next to the pool bar where the entertainment happens. We went out most nights but when we got back we sat on our terrace and joined in with singing, dancing etc. we had a great time. The space in the bar was limited so I think we were lucky to have our own area nearby. The entertainment did finish early though around 11/11.30 every night which is fine for us but I’d feel sorry for any young couples who want to stay up a bit longer.
That brings me to Playa Blanca itself. We usually go to Costa Teguise but thought we’d try Playa Blanca for a change. Very very different vibe! Playa Blanca is very quiet in comparison and shuts early. Not really an issue for us but for a young couple, or people looking to be out late in bars, dancing etc this resort might be a bit boring for you. This hotel is actually past Playa Flamingo beach and the walk up to Playa Blanca main area and then onto the marina is miles! I’m not exaggerating. I think we walked at least 25000 steps every day. We got a taxi a couple of times just for speed easy to get from reception. Saying that the walk along the seafront is beautiful. You are not bothered by people selling things or trying to get you into bars or restaurants, which was lovely and relaxing. There’s plenty of places for a pitstop on the way.
Playa Blanca main area is a bit dirty in our opinion and not as clean as Teguise but the Marina is stunning. It was my husbands 50th birthday while we were out there and had a lovely evening around there with some nice cocktails and a meal over looking the marina. Lovely shops, the usual perfume and makeup shops but also some lovely quirky shops to browse in. There is a market on Wednesday and Saturday, we went on Wednesday and it was packed! We struggled to get a taxi up there because it was so busy and didn’t spend long there as it was so crowded. I can imagine it’s better out of season when you are able to actually look at the stalls properly. There’s lots to choose from.
We walked the other way out of our hotel a couple of nights and found some lovely restaurants and bars that were cheaper than the marina end. The path goes all the way along that area too and the views across to Futeventura are beautiful especially at night.
My husband walked up Montana Roja one morning which is right next to our hotel and said it was an amazing experience. The views were amazing from the top. We didn’t go as we didn’t have suitable footwear. If I was to go to PB again I’d take some trainers so I could go up.
We had a day at Rancho Texas which is actually the 3rd time we’ve been. We booked the excursion with the reception but it was a bit like they didn’t know what they were doing! We got the bus there at 9am but the bus back wasn’t until 5pm and we’d had enough and done everything by 2pm and the water park area was packed with no beds available so we got a taxi back to the marina instead. Easy to get a taxi from outside but cost over 40 euros. There are lots of other excursions to choose from if that’s your thing but we didn’t fancy any of them this time.
All in all we had a lovely relaxing holiday and spent quality time as a family. None of us were bored at any time (the usual situation when you take kids with you!) and enjoyed exploring the area. Not sure we’d go back to Playa Blanca but if we did I’d stay more central to the main area because it felt a bit out of the way. Having said that if you don’t mind the walk and don’t want to be near all the activity I’d recommend this hotel. It’s clean, most of the staff are friendly and helpful and in our opinion it was excellent value for money.
Beautiful location and the taxi to town centre was only €5. But the drinks and entertainment round the pool were not the best and only had enough room for 50 people to watch the evening entertainment. As well as this an expensive baseball cap went missing from my suite room and the reception staff were far from helpful which added to the experience. That over shadowed all the other parts of the hotel for me
