Exceptional service excellence as standard

Stayed in a star prestige side view room with fantastic views the room itself was just the right size and consisted of a double rain shower with a conventional shower all in the one cubicle a double sink unit with a hairdryer plus amenities including bathrobes plus a separate toilet Overall the wardrobe storage was more than adequate with a built in safe plus a iron both of which are free of charge as was the mini bar which contained beer pop orange juice and replenished every day you also have tea and coffee making facilities, water are readily available from machines next to the lifts. The breakfast was exceptional the restaurant was so relaxing and laid back what a way to start your day the food in the evening was again amazing the food is cooked in front of you to your liking

The pool area was never too crowded so sunbeds were always available at any time of day and the Plus points were the pool and whirlpool During the day the poolside bar offers snacks and drinks in the evening it is where the entertainment takes place which we enjoyed every night. You can use the star prestige lounge at any time for drinks and snacks . The staff in all areas are very friendly so a big thank you to everyone. We would certainly return .

Family holiday

We enjoyed our stay here last week with my wife and 13 and 16 year old daughters. The food was good with lots of options. We all have different eating requirements including vegan, gluten and dairy free. The labelling was good and the choice was plentiful. The food I would rate at 5 star. I would also rate the entertainment and activities as five star. Alex, Exan and the rest of the team were brilliant- lots of fun and full of energy and enthusiasm. They really made the stay for us - they were super friendly and engaging. The room I would rate as 3 star. It was very small- no room for suitcases with paint peeling off the wall in places. The soft beds we specifically asked for were not ready for us upon arrival. I would however praise Diego, the manager, for his efforts in sorting us out with better beds and pillows that actually support your head. He was very kind and effective at helping us out. Overall it was a great experience which I would recommend to others. Just be aware that the rooms are not the best but other than that it was great.

Amazing holiday in Star Prestige - staff incredible!

We have just returned from a fabulous week staying in Star Prestige with our two boys aged 15 and 18. Cannot wait to return! Most guests here seem to be return customers, which says it all. It was the 15th time for one couple!! The staff are the best, and cannot do enough for you - this was the best customer service we have experienced anywhere in the world. Diego (one of the managers) was excellent. Esther (entertainment) was hilarious at getting people involved in activities (bingo, sangria making, aquafun). Alex (sports) was enthusiastic and my boys loved playing volleyball with him. Allergies - very well catered for. We have unusual allergies, and my son would choose things from the buffet he would like, and then the manager on duty would ask the chefs if they were ok. They prepared special desserts as a treat for him. We felt so looked after and fully able to relax on day one, which is rare when travelling with such unusual allergies. As a mum, I am so grateful (particular to Diego) and this is a key reason we will be returning to the hotel. Well sound-proofed bedroom walls and ceiling - no problems with room noise, couldn’t hear neighbours or corridor in SP. Water stations great (no tummy issues from the purified machine water) but could have done with a few more machines perhaps. Live music in SP every evening was brilliant. Didn’t watch main entertainment in main bar. Location great - 30 mins drive from airport, 5 mins walk to shops, bars, restaurants, lovely walk along promenade either direction. Air con in the bedrooms was good enough (although not amazing). The lowest we could get it to was 21 degrees in my boys room, 23 in ours (we asked for an electric fan). It was comfortable enough, but could have been better, so it’s probably the one improvement I would suggest for the hotel. In summary, we loved it, and we can’t wait to return. We’ve been on the search for the perfect holiday hotel for years, that fulfills all our needs, and we have finally found it!

Superb. Well worth staying.

Being warmly greeted by David on arrival who couldn’t have made us feel more welcome with our favourite drinks to the great food in the adults only premium restaurant, the stay was fantastic. Yuliney, who serviced our room with a smile and was always helpful to the great bar staff in the prestige bar. Thanks, we would really recommend this hotel to couples and families alike. It’s great location and superb cleanness. We will be back.

5 Star for Prestige

We stayed here as a family of four all-inclusive as star prestige guests in two rooms, for 7 nights end of June beginning of July. Firstly, the staff really do make this hotel with their warm, friendly service, they go above and beyond to make you feel so welcome. The Rooms Both rooms we had were identical to each other, spacious and plenty of room. The bathroom area has a nice big double shower, has a his and her sink which is ideal. The towels are nice and fluffy with the added bonus of face cloths provided. You are also provided with two hairdryers one that is attached to the wall and another that is in the wardrobe in a drawer, that you are able to plug in anywhere in the room, I preferred this hairdryer as it dried my hair quicker and was like mine from home. Plenty of storage space in the wardrobe with lots of coat hangers. You are also provided with dressing gowns and slippers, although these were not all that comfortable as they were made from recycled cardboard. We were also impressed that there were bluetooth speakers in the room that you could connect via your phone to listen to music. The mini bar is replenished daily restocked with any drinks that you have had plus tea, coffee pods, biscuits and nuts. There is also a designated prestige area that guests can have access to 24 hours a day for drinks, including premium branded drinks as well as other alcoholic beverages, hot and soft drinks, with snacks provided here during the day until 6pm. To gain entry into this area you need to use your wrist band to access the room. There is also water filters and ice stations outside the corridors of the rooms. Housekeeping came twice a day and was nice to have fresh clean towels on an evening when they came for turn down service, they would also leave little chocolates on the bed, this was a nice touch and was much appreciated. Another added bonus was the woven beach tote bag in our room with the pool towels in that we could use during our stay, which was very handy to use. The only negative point I can say is that the room our teenagers were staying in had a sewerage/drainage smell that came and went and some days was worse than others. The Pool and sunbeds There is one large pool in the star prestige area and a jacuzzi style pool. I did find that the pool was on the little cold side for me. We were always able to find some sunbeds around the prestige area, either round the pool or the little handmade beach area. During the first half of our stay, we were easily able to get sunbeds up until 10am, however the second half of our stay was a different story, as we struggled to get one after 8:30am. We found that some guests were reserving sunbeds from 7:00am if not earlier than this, which to be honest I thought was ridiculous as the weather was always cloudy and cold until at least after 10/11am. We did see signs in the lift asking guests not to reserve sunbeds for long periods or their towels would be removed by management, but we never saw anyone remove towels. It would be prudent for management to sort this issue as it will only get worse with the high season approaching. Some guests were reserving beds in a morning and then not using them until late afternoon, which is extremely selfish. We don’t pay to go on holiday expecting to get up early to reserve a bed, this is not a 5-star experience. The sunbeds were comfortable with nice, padded cushions, some of the cushions were very flat and sad looking, they certainly were not the best to be laid on either. For a 5 star hotel you would expect these to be replaced. We found that there aren’t enough parasols for everyone, and the pool area lacked a bit of soft music. A little music in the background would have provided a nicer ambience. The prestige pool area has its own bar that provide drinks and a small selection of snacks. The cocktails are very good, and the bar staff were always on hand to provide drinks. The Food We felt the quality of food was excellent and we always managed to find something to eat. The prestige area only offers a small selection of food compared to the main buffet area, but this isn’t an issue as you are able to walk through to the main area to get food too. The positive of the prestige area is much shorter queues for the fresh food being cooked, with a selection of eggs or omelettes in a morning, or meat and fish at lunch/evening. Most nights had a theme night, and while we were staying, we had Mexican, Asian, Moroccan, and Spanish. We felt the prestige area was a better atmosphere to dine in as it was quieter being away from the hustle and bustle of the main dining area. Again, the service from the staff here was superb. Car Park We hired a car for the week, and on arrival we had to park the car across from the hotel in a small car park, but once you have your wristband, you can access the hotels car park at the side of the hotel by tapping the black box with your wristband near the barrier to allow you access. The car park is only small and gets busy quickly, but again it’s good the hotel offers this. With having the car we drove to the Montana Roja volcano and walked up and around this, this took about a hour to do and offered some beautiful views of the island and was less than a 10 minute drive. But please do wear suitable shoes/ trainers as the walk is not suitable to do in sliders/flipflops that we did see some people try to do. We also drove to the Charco de los Clicos (the green lagoon), this is only a few minutes walk to a viewing point to look/take photos, we decided to do this on our way to visit the famous Timanfaya national park which is a great experience to do if you get the chance. The Beach The beach is just a few minute walk away, we had a couple of walks to the beach, this is only a small beach area. The sea was very cold so only had a quick paddle. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our holiday here and would recommend staying here as a star prestige guest. However, I feel that if we hadn’t been staying as a prestige guest, I’m not sure the outcome would be the same. This is due to the main pool area looking extremely crowded, with very little space between each sunbed, and it reminded us of sardines packed in a tin, which for us, would not have been a 5 star experience, as I wouldn’t like to be battling for a sunbed during the high season a stupid o’clock in the morning.
