This bungalow complex lies in the outskirts of Playa Blanca fishing town. The town centre with numerous shopping and entertainment venues is only 1.6 km away. Playa Flamingo sandy beach and the beach promenade are only 300 metres away. This establishment offers 196 bungalows and a one storey main building in a large garden of 80,000 sqm. Guests will find a reception, a bar and an air-conditioned buffet restaurant with a non-smoking area, a terrace and highchairs for children at this hotel. The tasteful bungalows include an integrated living room and bedroom with a kitchenette and a dining area with chairs and a table. There is a swimming pool in the garden with a separate children's pool, a sun terrace with sun loungers and parasols as well as a snack bar. A breakfast buffet is available to guests every morning.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Location good. Room clean and pleasant. Grounds of hotel very clean and tidy. Staff all pleasant. Entertainment staff all very nice and try to make it fun. Pool lovely. Not much in the way of Entertainment. Note food not 4 star by any stretch 3 at best we ended up eating out several nights breakfast was the most edible. Having to pay 1 euro for a plastic cup is frustrating I get why they do it but I don't want the hassle. Would I return yes if they did a non all inclusive option.
First time at HL Rio Playa Blanca. The hotel was very accommodating when I told them my wife had mobility issues, they gave us a bungalow near the pool which was clean and fairly spacious. We found nothing wrong with the food, there was always something to eat, then again we're not as fussy as some complainers seem to be. We don't drink much but never had a problem with drinks, pretty much the same as most all inclusive. You couldn't fault the entertainment team. The Greatest Showman was well worth seeing, very well choreographed, a big hand for the work they put into it. If the people who write bad reviews also read them, don't go there or stop complaining. See you next year.
After reading quite a few bad reviews I can honestly say I have nothing bad to say about this hotel! The hotel, location, food, activities & staff were all amazing, we had a fantastic 7 days and would definitely go back.
Currently at this hotel. Flight was 4hr 5min and the transfer took 50 minutes. Only stopped here for 4 days for a break but the hotel is lovely. Checkin was simple and quick, its very quiet and peaceful but that maybe because there is hardly any kids. The food was very nice and a good selection every night. The rooms are like bungalows, lots of room, very clean and nice. Only 1 English news channel but there is netflix. There is 3 pools in total and even though it was 30 degrees they were slightly fresh still. Entertainment wasn't too bad, play bingo at the poolside bar and then evening entertainment which is random. I would guess kids holiday or higher peak times the entertainment would be better. There is an on site shop but if you want to go round the souvenir shops its a nice walk along the front to the harbour. This is around 3 miles there and back. There is a nice market Wednesday and Saturday a little further, I clocked it at 6 mile round trip once you have looked round. Overall the holiday was nice, I would come back again.
