The 5-star H10 Rubicon Palace is located on the seafront of Playa Blanca in a delightful village setting which offers beautiful views of the ocean. The popular Flamingo Beach is just a mile away from the hotel and the shopping strip of Calle Limones is also a short distance away.
The hotel is designed to help you relax and offers no shortage of facilities to reach that. Five adult swimming pools, along with three children's pools offers the perfect setting to soak up the sun; along with a Thalasso Centre which offers a wide range of rejuventating treatments and a gym to keep up your fitness routine. You will be spoilt for choice when it comes to dining, with a choice of six restaurants and four bars offering dishes from around the world.
As soon as you enter your room, you will be met with stylish decor with all the amenities you require for a comfortable stay. The air-conditioned room will offer an LCD TV, a private balcony or patio, a minibar and a private bathroom. Upgraded rooms are available at a supplement.

This is far from a 5 star hotel. We arrived home yesterday from this hotel and have never been happier to vacate somewhere. From the second we arrived at this hotel it just went downhill. We were brought to our room and discovered that the air conditioning was not working. We reported the matter to reception and were told that maintenance would come fix it. Sure enough, we sat and waited in the room for maintenance who finally came and claimed to have fixed the issue but when another maintenance guy came to read the the temperature, his thermometer was showing that the air conditioning was blowing 27.5 degrees into the room. Having been awake for 20 odd hours we decided to try get some sleep, as previously mentioned the room was so hot so we had no choice but to sleep clothless and outside of the covers. To our absolute horror we were awoken at 8:30pm to a man in our room, I let out a scream for him to get out which he did (there was no "do not disturb" signs in the room).
The next morning we went up to reception to report the man entering our room, the lack of air conditioning and the overall state of the room from dirty floors, pubes in showers, the most horrendous beds that are so springy and impossible to get a good night's sleep on, holes in the bed linen, dirty curtains (not really the expectations on a 5 star hotel). We spoke to a very unhelpful man who told us the issue was with the entire hotel and not just our room (we spoke to other guests and their air conditioning was fine), his solution was to provide us with a fan and you guessed it, the fan was nearing the end of its life too. He did not seem overly concerned about a man entering our room or the general state of the room.
I decided to get onto the travel company we had booked through to report the issues, they got onto the hotel and said the hotel was willing to offer us another room and to head to reception to speak to someone (bare in mind when we had requested a different room ourselves we were told the hotel was full and no rooms were available. However when we first checked in we were given the option to upgrade to a sea view room for additional money?) When we arrived at reception we were told noone had called and they had no rooms. We explained everything that had happened so far within the space of one day (we had apoken to 4 staff members in total who had "taken" note of our issues and the man walking into our room but yet each staff member was unaware. Honestly the lack of communication between colleagues was dreadful and very unprofessional) and eventually one of the reception staff organised a new room for us.
The new room was much the same as the old room, dated decor, horrendous beds and overall not what you expect from a 5 star hotel.
The food is of very poor quality, the produce quality is the cheapest of the cheap. We attended the steak house and walked out after one bite of the steak, our server did not even question why we hadn't eaten our food and merely offered for us to look at the dessert menu.
The general maintenance is poor, only one lift working, uneven surfaces (I fell and went over on my ankle by mikes coffee bar due to the ground not being flush) It's very disappointing to work all year round to afford a holiday and be so let down. It's such a shame.
Great location, nice walks to Flamingo Beach and Playa Blanca. Rooms are very spacious and comfortable, cleaned everyday with fresh towels if you want them. Value for money on the All Inclusive, especially the drinks, all branded and the cocktails are fabulous, freshly made to order every time. Mike’s Coffee shop is the best day time pit stop, amazing coffees, milk shakes and smoothies as well as Espresso Martinis. Be aware however that as well as All Inclusive there is also Adult Only/Privilege areas which incur an additional cost, there are areas of the hotel restricted to AI customers, made us feel a little like lower class. The pool is salt water, so be aware it made my eyes sting. The pool bar is a little rough and ready and I would say there are not enough toilets for the size of the hotel. The buffet restaurant was not a great dining experience but you do have the option to dine twice only on a weeks stay in 3 of the 5 à la cart restaurants the other 2 being for privilege customers only, which is a shame.
We had a fantastic family holiday at H10 Rubicón Horizons in Lanzarote and would happily return. The hotel has a great location right on the seafront, with beautiful views looking out towards Fuerteventura. There is also a bus stop right outside the hotel, making it really easy to get into town and explore the local area without needing a taxi. The kids absolutely loved the swimming pools, especially the kids’ pool and the Privilege pool. There was plenty to keep them entertained, and it made relaxing by the pool much easier for us too. The food throughout the hotel was fantastic. The Privilege restaurants were 5-star, with delicious food and plenty of choice. The main buffet restaurant also had a great selection, and the salmon was particularly nice. The kids absolutely loved the pancake station, which was a real highlight for them at breakfast. All of the restaurants also had an amazing selection of desserts, with lots of tempting options for both adults and children. The Piano Bar was a great place to relax in the evenings with a cocktail or two. The all-inclusive drinks included a great selection of premium brands, and the cocktails were really well made. It was the perfect way to unwind after a busy day. One of our favourite places was Mike’s Coffee. The kids absolutely loved the milkshakes, while we enjoyed the Baileys coffees. It quickly became one of our favourite spots to relax and enjoy a drink together. There are also lots of great excursions available from the area. Our two favourites were the submarine trip, which was a brilliant experience for the whole family, and Timanfaya National Park, which was absolutely stunning and definitely worth visiting. A special mention has to go to the service desk team, who were extremely helpful and friendly throughout our stay. Even when we had a couple of issues, they were always happy to help and did everything they could to resolve things for us. Their helpful attitude really made a difference. Overall, H10 Rubicón Horizons was a fantastic choice for a family holiday. From the beautiful seafront location and amazing views to the pools, food, drinks, easy transport links, excursions and friendly service, we had a brilliant time and made some fantastic family memories. We would definitely recommend this hotel and would love to return!
After reading negative reviews before our stay i was worried! We were travelling with our adult son and partner. And I need to say dont trust what you read. The hotel is lovely staff were friendly and helpful and food was great. Yes there are areas that could be improved and areas that maybe needed upgrading ( for instance corridors and walkways) but overall it was excellent and to be honest for the price we paid it was well worth it. It is out of playa blanca but we got a hire car and taxis were cheap. If your looking for a nice hotel with good food and service you won't go far wrong.
Have just returned from a 2 week break and can honestly say everyone in our group totally loved the hotel .. Booked 3x apartments Adults Only all inclusive. Upon arrival Jose was great, wet towels and glass of cava, then all of us taken to our rooms via golf buggy to find fridge full off water,beer, chocolate and crisps. Room cleaned everyday cleaner friendly and always asked if needed anything. Blue room adults only thankyou to the staff in there always pleasant and friendly and food was always tasty and nice. We had our best steak the first night in the Blue room. Asian restaurant very nice too. All drinks spirits in all bars named brands which was a nice touch. Only issue was the Piano bar, service was very slow but apart from that would definitely recommend the hotel A+++. Don't listen to bad reviews definitely recommend and already looking if can go back as staff so friendly and food was do nice..
