For a change of scenery, why not try Flamingo Beach? It's just 600 metres away and boasts wonderfully soft, fine sand. Or you can hop on a free shuttle bus to the nearby Dorada Beach. The hotel's extensive grounds are planted with palm trees and host an impressive array of facilities including 5 outdoor swimming pools. The fine sands of Flamingo Beach are just 600 meters away and the hotel provides a free shuttle to Dorada Beach.
We have just returned from the Elba premium suites. From the beginning to the end of our holiday we had a fantastic experience. The food was for us excellent everyday. The fact it was waiter service at the Jameos pool bar was a nice touch. The food was excellent too. The adults pool area was extremely clean and well looked after, the pool is not heated though, so was refreshing to say the least. Yes there are limited sunbeds but we didn't have any problems getting one each day. We have stayed before in the hotel and I will say this time the AC was excellent. The ability to control our own temperature ensured we got a refreshing break from the heat and able to sleep well too. The adults only bar is a lovely calm area with branded drinks and excellent staff. The only thing I think it could do with is some music when the daily acts aren't playing. The DJ set on Thursday was excellent, the place was bouncing and everybody was smiling and dancing. More of this would be a great addition. Overall we had a fantastic holiday, well looked after and relaxed. On a final note the WiFi was for us excellent throughout too. I would recommend. Just to finish I can't speak for the other side of the hotel as we only used the adults only facilities.
Our experience in Elba hotel was Amazon. We love entertainment team, and of course, we love Lulu and rimon.
Bathroom was mouldy and dirty. Air con unit was hanging off wall. Reported it and they still didn’t fix it. They tried to clean the room but it was still mouldy. We asked for another room but they said they couldn’t give us one as they were fully booked. They told us to come back the next day and they would get us another room. We went back the next day to be told that they still couldn’t get us a room till the next day. This place is actually really dirty when you start looking. Wife asked me to sit on a sofa at the bottom of reception and because I have this thing with dirt now I looked at the sofa and it was absolutely filthy. I will not be back here again and the staff are not really that helpful I found.
We've had a great 10 days here, staff are friendly and efficient, good hotel, great room/apartment, fab food plenty of choice available and we didn't have to queue. In appointment there is plenty of room. 2 beds and sofa bed, good size TV. Kettle tea and coffee and a good size fridge.decent amount of hangers in the wardrobes. In bathroom there is soap, shampoo and body wash provided. Towels hand towel and bath towel each. Great hair dryer and excellent Aircon. Outside is a sofa, chair and table also 2 sunbeds also a dryer on the wall, good idea but being some pegs as it can be quite breezy and clothes can blow off. Around the pool there are plenty of sunbeds, 3 pools and a slide pool. A snack bar along side it. With free crisps and sweets during the day. You can hire towels for 10 euros which you can change daily and get your money back when leaving. The evening bar is the only place we had to queue. Not enough staff here, free crisps, sweets and nuts available, out side seating gets snapped up early on. You need to set up a credit tab at reception before you can get a drink, this can be card or cash. The tables don't get cleared often enough. Good range of drinks, more expensive than along the front and smaller sizes. There doesn't seem to be air conditioning in the hotel area and it is warm in the restaurant. The a la cart is amazing, great food and service, you do need to book your slot in there. Photographers are around the pool during the day and evening. They do a lovely job but are pricey. We asked the travel rep about the bus to the marina and market, she wasn't very helpful as they do a trip and she wouldn't make any money telling you about the local bus which goes from the side of the hotel. It's bus 30 and goes half hourly so due 25 past and 5 to the hour. We took a taxi as bus was busy it was 5 euros great value. I also asked at reception for info on bus and times and again they said they had no idea on times, I do feel this is something they should be able to tell you, you are a good 10-15 min walk from flaming beach to the right of hotel and 25-30 mins from the front to the left of the hotel. There are no shops around the hotel so you need to be able to walk or taxi to them. There is a shop in the hotel as well as a gym and spa. I had my nails done and the lady was lovely 😍.
Beautiful complex, nice and clean. Most of the staff were happy and welcoming. But... If you have a food allergy/intolerance be aware! Even though we contacted the hotel many months before our arrival explaing that we (myself and my daughter) had a Lactose intolerance, and asked if they would be able to cater for this, and being assured that they would, we sadly found their effort was very poor for a 4* hotel, a few nights we were left waiting for a long time, with nothing arriving, and when something did arrive it was of very poor quality... luckily we had purchased some dessert ourselves from the local shop.
