The apartment complex features a shimmering pool, a hot tub and gym, ideal for those who crave for a peaceful and relaxing downtime. This attractive hotel offers 1, 2 and 3-bedroom apartments designed to make guests' stay as enjoyable as possible. The air-conditioned units come complete with a fully-equipped kitchenette and modern comforts. Travellers may also wind down at the welcoming café with terrace, where to enjoy a tasty daily breakfast or sip a refreshing drink after a long day of sunbathing or sightseeing.
Take advantage of recreation opportunities such as a seasonal outdoor pool or take in the view from a terrace and a garden. Additional features at this aparthotel include wireless Internet access (surcharge), tour/ticket assistance and a banquet hall.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
⭐ 1-Star Review – Ona Campanario, Mijas
Our experience at Ona Campanario was extremely disappointing and, quite honestly, unacceptable.
During our stay, we discovered bed bugs in the accommodation, which completely changed our holiday and left us extremely concerned about hygiene and the suitability of the apartment. To make matters even worse, a rat was found outside our ground-floor terrace door. Having a rat directly outside where our family were staying was extremely distressing.
What made the situation even worse was the attitude and lack of assistance from the reception staff. We approached staff for help and expected them to take these issues seriously, but instead we found them extremely unhelpful and, at times, hostile.
We ultimately felt that we had no option but to leave the complex altogether and pay for alternative accommodation at another resort. This was an additional and completely unexpected expense that we should never have had to incur.
When reception became aware that we were leaving, their attitude became even worse. On one occasion, money was actually thrown towards my daughter, which we found completely unacceptable and extremely upsetting. No guest, particularly a child, should be treated in this manner.
We also asked reception to arrange a taxi/minibus for us. We were told that there was nothing available. However, we subsequently arranged our own transport, and the taxi/minibus arrived almost immediately, which made us question why we were told that none were available in the first place.
The way we were treated when trying to leave was the final straw.
The photographs and evidence we have of the conditions speak for themselves. We appreciate that things can occasionally go wrong on holiday, but it is how a property responds when something goes wrong that matters. In our experience, the response from Ona Campanario was extremely poor.
Bed bugs, a rat outside the terrace, unhelpful staff and the way we were treated when we decided we could no longer stay made this one of the worst holiday accommodation experiences we have ever had.
We had paid to enjoy a holiday, yet ended up having to spend additional money to find somewhere else to stay because we no longer felt comfortable remaining at Ona Campanario.
I would strongly encourage management to investigate what happened, particularly the handling of our complaint and the behaviour of the reception staff.
Unfortunately, based on our experience, we would not return to Ona Campanario and cannot recommend it to other families.
We arrived at ona campanario apartments on the 5 th of September Left on thr 7th of September. We stayed in room 077 bottom floor My husband body had bites all over my daughter also the place needs fumigated.the next morning 7th September we came out of the room to find a dead Rat sick at the thought we made contact with jet 2 to see what they could do but nothing for 48hrs. We could not stay here so I booked another hotel at are expense because we have been told that the hotel would not gave us a refund. I have some photos of my husbands bites my daughter will post photos of the rat as I could not look at it terrified.
Booked this hotel knowing there wasn't a lot near by but the hotel description stated it had a pool snack bar and a small restaurant. This was not the case. There was no restaurant or snack bar. This was not good. We also seemed not to be the only people arriving expecting pool bar and restaurant. I wouldn't have booked this hotel if I'd known it no longer had the facilities as described on the hotel description. Pool area was OK and rooms were big and clean. Still I wouldn't return due to lack of facilities
We had informed the hotel we’d arrive little after midnight. Once we were at the hotel (as informed), there was nobody around and none of the on-call numbers answered. So after an hour or so we had to face the fact that we were ghosted we had to find rooms from some other hotel for the first night. When we arrived to the hotel the next morning, no one was willing to answer any questions or take any responsibility for handling our case. After few e-mails the result was, that the hotel refused to pay any compensations and went dead silent refusing to answer e-mails.
Everything in this review is to be expected and is reflected in the price and budget.
We required an apartment to suit 5 . Got the 2 bedroom apartment which was very spacious.
Fabulously relaxing . Nice quiet area amongst residential streets with gorgeous houses.
With a small row of restaurants and supermarkets about 10 mins walk away.
With a family of wild boar late at night a marvel to see.
Living area with kitchenette and vast balcony/terrace and 2 bedrooms one larger than the other both with ample storage and a safe.
Living area had room for a sizeable dining table and sofa bed and armchair. Kitchen equipped with large fridge freezer, microwave and coffee machine as well as toaster and kettle. We had an iron/board too.
All areas were clean and tidy .
Only downside was the air con was only in the living room but was working well. However we had large floor fans for both bedrooms but they never cooled them enough just circled warm air unless you left the bedroom doors opened to tap into the air conditioned living room.
Pool area and gardens were lovely and well kept.
The map provided by the reception shows a pool bar but we never saw this open. There is a working gym however we didnt use.
Plenty of good quality sunbeds but not so many umbrellas or shade.
The buildings could do with a paint especially the blue domes.
The tiles on balcony showed some cracking and stains and need some paint to spruce it up ,bathroom in places,lock on bathroom door and issue with being accidentally stuck on the balcony as the door could lock without warning.
However we could see and hear signs of odd jobs being sone such as repairing grass areas .
Noticed grime on the inner edges of the pool.
Pool toilets are immaculate.
All in all i would use them again. Staff were helpful and informative.
Yes the lifeguarding is pointless if they are glued to their phone.
