Appalling Air-conditioning
Overall a good hotel not excellent. The staff are polite and helpful, the location is right on the beach and this is a nice place to stay on holiday. However my main issue was the air conditioning. It is appalling for a hotel of this standard. I am currently writing this review whilst unable to sleep due to the heat in the room. I asked staff at the desk if anything could be done but they said it was a central controller unit. We have a lovely sea view balcony and I have been having to sleep outside most nights. Just not acceptable for this level of hotel. If you like warm rooms with little or no aircon I would recommend this hotel.

Our travel agent upgraded rooms from here in the UK.
Flight out perfect, very early; however, got to Hotel at 10:30 am. Don't do this!
On checking-in, given impression that our (2) rooms would be available by 12.00 Noon even though check-in starts at 3pm; decided to grab a drink & sit in pool-bar area until then. After SEVERAL trips to Reception, we were finally advised that our rooms would not be ready until after 4pm and that Reception would call us as soon as they became available. Nothing. Finally went back yet again at 4:30 where another person informed us that "they had upgraded us to Sea-View Rooms" (err, no that would be my friend in the UK) and that, "of course the rooms are ready" !! (What the actual). Real shame; specifically booked to arrive early to make most of first day.
Rooms were clean and tidy however:
- Air-con units are noisy.
- Not enough hangers.
- Not enough shelf-space.
- No outside facility to dry bathing suits
- Kettle + tea/coffee supplies were ok but not up to 5* standard.
- Bottled Water at evening meal is charged! ££
- Drinks / food in hotel are VERY EXPENSIVE
- Evening Bar Drinks are VERY EXPENSIVE & take forever to arrive.
- No lifeguard at pool / Pool rules ignored wrt inflatables
- Pool-side Sun-beds are good; kept clean & tidy but the wooden boards are shabby
- Beach is lovely & access good however, beds & umbrellas are costly
The Hotel is understaffed but those that are there are lovely and helpful.
Overall, the hotel is nice but there are a lot of issues that let it down. We won't be returning.

Not great is a compliment
So the location is really good. Dated. Air con not great. Rooms small. Arrived at 3PM and rooms not ready. Breakfast ok. Swimming pool very busy and deck and chairs dated. Access to the pool on old dated evaluators that smell at mold. No infra at the beach. 3 star hotel tops…

Not what it was
The hotel is in a fantastic location and that is its main plus. It has however some issues considering its 5* rating and the pricing of the hotel. We have been to the hotel many times but this time I thought things had slipped quite badly. Our room although nice enough had drawers which were in bad shape, the general furniture is like something cheap from ikea. The pool are decking is in very poor shape and where my elderly parents room was they had to walk across it at night and it was pitch black the steps were not lit although there were lights not working. They have signs saying you can’t keep beds and towels will be removed but they don’t enforce this. Something that drives me mad if you have a rule enforce it or remove it! When we said to the pool staff they were not interested and in one occasion lied to us about people being at lunch who hadn’t been at the pool all day. Receding the pool again on our one week stay on two occasions they had no they had run out of towels and on another when we came up from the beach they were locked up despite the pool being open for another hour. There are positives the pool is large although dated, breakfast is excellent and the staff very good. Location is first class although there can be a lack of parking if you have a car. Would I stay again after several visits? I’m not sure it isn’t the standard it should be for the price.

Nice stay and great location
Lovely hotel and staff. Could do with an update but excellent location. Excellent bar in the garden perfect for evening drink. Sorted golf for us as well. Would recommend and will be back.
