This hotel is located just a few kilometres from the centre of Avor, 4 km from countless shopping and entertainment venues and within 200 m of links to the public transport network. It is 4 km to the nearest sandy beach. This golfing hotel with a vast garden, offers various facilities including a café, a bar and conference facilities. The well-equipped rooms come with a bathroom with a bath, a minibar/ fridge and individually regulated air conditioning. In the outdoor complex is a swimming pool as well as a sun terrace. It is possible to play tennis, try out archery, go biking, play billiards or pay a visit to the in-house gym. The hotel features a golf course. Guests may select from the continental breakfast buffet while lunch and dinner may also be taken à la carte or chosen from a menu.

Golf course in fabulous condition read a lot of negative reviews about it and bar 1 bunker ( GUR ) all well sanded greens ran very true and fairways immaculate. Food as always lovely plenty of choice. Staff all very friendly. I WILL be back
The staff at this hotel are amazing. The management should be proud of them all. They made the holiday, so much so we have just booked to come back next year.
Worst experience at a golf club . We booked with a cart . When we arrived there were no carts and we had to wait until someone came off the course . The proshop was no help arguing who was first in line for a cart ! The resort course is a mess .DONT PLAY IT! Restaurant visit after game was no better . After sitting a while with no service and getting ourselves the menu.. we left !
A very enjoyable 6 night stay with 4 rounds of golf. The hotel is very clean, floors were regularly cleaned & polished. Beds were comfortable, we had everything we needed in our room, plenty of clean towels which were changed daily , mini fridge and coffee/tea which again was replaced daily. Powerful shower, shower screen could do with new bottom seal as it leaked if not levelled up correctly. All the staff were very friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Great buffet breakfast with plenty of choice and tea/coffee served at your table . We eat lunch every day in the Henry Cotton golf bar and had no problems with our food, it was very tasty and enjoyable. Staff again were very friendly and helpful. We had our own car but got Ubers into Alvor in the evening which were reasonable. Personally we were very happy with the Championship course, we are intermediate players and found it to be challenging enough for us. It has built my confidence especially when getting over water hazards. Ground staff were continually clearing away trees, maintaining the fairways and greens which included putting on the sprinklers between player’s. The bunkers were full with top quality sand and were well raked. There was evidence of disease on the putting greens and some were a little bumpy. During our stay the course staff were patrolling the course to make sure players were keeping up with the group in front and moving on slow players. We didn’t have any issues and weren’t kept waiting long. The drinks buggy came around for us on 2 occasions, unfortunately we did not see it in our last day. Toilets on the whole were ok, not always hand wash or toilet paper. Our main negative was the Resort course which we only played once, it was not in very good condition and needed some TLC, the ladies 1st tee was awful, just a mound of sand.. The hotel although dated is in a great location, not too rowdy and has a very relaxed vibe. It is surrounded by beautifully maintained gardens. It is clear see that a lot of hard work is going into maintaining the course and hotel and credit must go to everyone who has a part in this. Don’t be afraid of staying here, we will definitely return again 😊
