Second visit thoughts….
This is a fantastic hotel, with friendly staff and the rooftop pool is more amazing in person than the views online. It’s a short walk away from the main part of St Paul’s but close to the bus stops & also close to some of the nice restaurants in St Paul’s. They have lovely Spa/Sauna facilities & have a small gym that’s probably fit for 3 people to workout comfortably at the same time.
This was our second visit to Best Western Malta after visiting in 2025 - there were a couple of disappointing changes which we weren’t notified about during our booking (direct with them) or at checkin. Firstly, we couldn’t check in for 90 minutes past the 3pm checkin time. Despite this, we had to beg for a 45 minute late checkout and also couldn’t “book” for a late checkout on exit for either of their 2pm or 4pm slots because the rooms were ironically booked. Secondly, if you wish to use the 9th floor restaurant they now only have a tasting menu for walk ins, but you can enjoy dinner if you purchase half-board for the entire week to select their alacarte menu (highly recommend the Seabass). It was too late for us to get the half-board as we didn’t get it at booking/check-in but again, weren’t aware it was an option. Weirdly the alacarte menu is available in the downstairs section of the hotel, but not in the restaurant.
We were upgraded to a Junior Suite, but after selecting the Sea View option during online booking - it was disappointing not to have a Seaview in the end.
Best Western Malta, is the BEST....!
Arrived 4th July for 7 nights, and could not fault this little gem of a hotel. Room (417) was immaculate and spacious with first stock of mini bar at no extra cost. Staff are amazing, from the moment you walk into the place. Breakfast choice is unbelievable, still cant think if anything was missing. Pool area is great, very clean with plenty of sunbeds to choose from. I have visited Malta many times, but this hotel is second to none, and will be returning as soon as possible. Faultless throughout.

The location of the hotel is perfect position for exploring the beaches and shops and near the bus station so you could explore Malta and the staff were first class made everyone special in the hotel
4 Amigos on holiday
Just back from staying a week in this hotel. Rooms are fabulous, plenty of room and the bathroom with walk in shower, brilliant. The breakfasts are lovely there is something for everyone. Staff very friendly and hepful. Unfortunately the pool area is on the cramped side with not enough shades, which is needed in the height of summer. The floor/tiles area on the 10th floor around the floor became very slippery and the steps going into the pool were extremely slippery. Over 6 people a day would slip most receiving bruises or minor injury, my self included. Didn't want to add picture of my bruise as nobody needs to see that. Management were advised and arranged for one yellow 'careful slippery surface' sign for the whole area. Which I felt was not sufficient and didnt rectifiy the issue. Most days the bar staff had to be told the toilets - which were on the 9th floor down stairs - had ran out of toilet paper and hand towels. They would then contact housekeeping. Outside the pavements around the area can also be slippery in the heat and uneven, making it difficult for some people to get about.
