A stay at the charming four star Cornucopia Hotel, set on a high ridge, overlooking the rich, fertile Gozo valleys and out to Marsalforn Bay, is one of the best ways to really get in touch with these 'real' and unspoilt islands.
The Cornucopia Hotel is set in the village of Xaghra, a charming and fascinating spot, and steeped in the culture and history of the island. Ramla Bay is also nearby – a popular tourist destination thanks to its sandy beach – one of the few on the islands.
Beautifully converted from an old farmhouse, the Cornucopia Hotel is one of Gozo's most characterful locations. Behind the rustic exterior is a hotel of rare quality; there is certainly nothing rustic about the accommodation. You'll marvel at the superb restaurant with its vaulted roof, fall in love with its courtyard swimming pool and want to sit for hours admiring the wide open views from your balcony.
The Cornucopia Hotel is set up for your comfort and enjoyment. With a smaller capacity than many of the hotels on the islands, it has a very homely feel to it. It's more than just a base for your Maltese adventures; it's a genuine home away from home, albeit with all sorts of luxurious add-ons!
Take your pick of the two pools on offer, enjoy a lazy afternoon or long evening at the terrace bar overlooking the Gozo valleys or spend some quiet moments enjoying the picturesque gardens, the Cornucopia Hotel really lives up to its name.
Twin and double rooms are available, all air-conditioned/heated and boasting their own private balcony. There is even a wonderful honeymoon suite, complete with its own Jacuzzi.
Holidaymakers looking for a rich assortment of activities and opportunities to explore will love Xaghra and the Cornucopia Hotel. With its expansive views, unspoilt villages and fascinating harbours, it is a rich melting pot, steeped in the unique character of these wonderful islands.

Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
A converted former farmhouse, the Cornucopia Hotel is beautifully located on a high ridge with views to Marsalforn Bay. Nearby also is popular and sandy Ramla Bay. It offers high standards of comfort and service and many guests return year after year. Facilities include two pools, surrounding gardens and an excellent restaurant with comfortable bar.
We experienced first class service from the moment we arrived. The staff here are definitely the best we have ever had without a doubt. The hotel has two very nice pool areas and everything is spotless. We were happy with the choice at breakfast and could not expect more for the price we paid. We ate in the restaurant once and loved our meal also the bar meals are very good. The towels were changed every day which was not expected but appreciated. We loved the hotel’s location and relaxing vibe we slept well and felt totally safe both in the hotel and Xaghra.
The only regret we had is that we only stayed for 7 days. We can’t wait to return to this amazing hotel hopefully with friends or family.
We stayed at this hotel recently and would highly recommend. The hotel is really clean and comfortable and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Had a enjoyable and relaxing stay. Thank you.
This hotel is wonderful. The building itself is beautiful. It is one storey accomodation and built from an extended farmhouse. It has two lovely pools, a childs' pool and a jacuzzi with plenty of sunbeds and shades. Our room was adequate and clean and cleaned daily. It is situated about a 20 minute slow walk to the village and has excellent views. The restaurant had good choices of continental and English breakfast. I think the crowning glory of the hotel was the staff. They are very welcoming and can't do enough to make your stay lovely. We want to mention especially Brian the general manager, Joshua the restaurant manager, Cynthia, Edem, Christoph and Peter on reception, Ruth in the bar and Nellie, Wen and Erma
Wonderful quirky hotel where the staff do everything to make your stay easy have not encountered such wonderful staff in a long time. A very peaceful place lovely ambience and two great swimming pools Rooms are lovely with magnificent view. The town is a little far for me to walk I am in my seventies but would take 15 to 20 minutes for more able people. The prices are very reasonable as is the Bolt taxi service
We recently returned from the Cornucopia hotel after spending 6 night there. We did experience a couple of small issues with the room but these, like everything else about the hotel was handled beautifully.
All the staff were delightful.
Spotlessly clean
A little way out of the nearest town but a fabulous place to relax and take in the fabulous valley view.
