‘Blue Bay Resort Hotel' is located on the northern side of Crete, above Mononaftis Bay, 22km from the capital city of Heraklion, in the quiet village of Agia Pelagia. Kind remark: The resort's slope location with steps and stairs is not suitable for guests with mobility issues and limited suitable for baby carriages.

This hotel also features complimentary wireless Internet access, concierge services and wedding services. Getting to the surf and sand is a breeze with the complimentary beach shuttle.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
We had a really enjoyable stay at this hotel overall The food was good and there was always something for everyone.It could be a little repetitive at times, but there was still a good variety to choose from, so we always found something we enjoyed.
We did have a bit of a hiccup at the beginning of our stay when we experienced some terrible rain and unfortunately the ceiling in our room started leaking. Thankfully, the hotel upgraded us to a family room on arrival , which meant we were able to sleep comfortably in the other room while the issue was dealt with. The next day , Demetrius the manager had us another room to move into first thing in the morning .
A special mention has to go to the manager, Demetrius — what a guy!! He was incredibly helpful, understanding and genuinely took the time to listen to us! He went out of his way to resolve any issues we had, and nothing ever seemed too much trouble for him. His customer service really made a difference , and was very much appreciated.
The snack bar staff by the pool were also amazing — always friendly, welcoming and helpful. Maria on reception was very informative of the hotel and the local area , recommended places to visit . Phoned and ordered us taxis .
Love how every meal time the team are there to greet on the way in and thanked and wished an amazing day when you leave .
The hotel in general for cleanliness was 10/10 spotlessly clean always . Plenty of loungers by the pool . Was always able to get a lounger and always able to get a table at meal times .
Overall, despite the initial hiccup, we had a lovely stay and really appreciated how the hotel dealt with the situation. Want to do a shout out though to some staff members who deserve recognition who always went above and beyond for us throughout our stay

definitely helped make our experience a positive one. We would happily return to this hotel in the future , the views from this hotel Are picturesque couldn’t get enough of the views I would also recommend the chapel which is near the amphitheater , beautiful inside , with candles you can light
Please be aware there isn’t a kettle in the room as standard but ask at reception and they promptly bring one to your room . Also irons and ironing boards are available and this is at no extra cost .

Had a lovely 10days here. Room was good and comfortable. Food was very good, staff very helpful . Pool was nice and always got a sun lounger. Walk to beach nearly killed us ! Very steep hill. All in all a lovely holiday.
We have stayed in this hotel at least three times. It has a nice cozy vibe, location is great, sea is approachable down the hill. Staff is great and welcoming! There is a mini spa center where you can get lovely massages for extra charge. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Selection of food has been versatile and delicious. Also several places available outside hotel territory to go for a lunch. I would recommend this place most definitely.
We holidayed here last year (2025) with friends, and just had to come back as a couple, the team even arranged for us to have the same room that had a beautiful vista with gorgeous sea views, we were upgraded to gold bands, which gave us a couple of perks that were both unexpected and gratefully received. Rooms are very well proportioned, have aircon, fridge, safe, plenty of storage, and meticulously clean, and have a daily maid service. Please note, you can request a kettle from reception, it will come with mugs and all you need for tea and coffee, the maid will top up as requested. The restaurant is self service, there is a good variety of hot and cold food, salads, sweet treats and ice creams, pastries, and a fresh cooked area at all meal times catering for most diets. Water, hot drinks, soft drinks, wine and lager on draught (not at breakfast). The pool bars have light snacks, rolls, pizza, sausage rolls or hot dogs etc, pastries and ice cream. The bars are well stocked, but only Greek products are on the all inclusive option, world wide beers, spirits, wines and fizzy are available at an extra cost. Please note that this is intentional, it is to promote local produce, for variety, wines and spirits are available as cocktails, most people find something to over indulge in. The Staff, all the staff are exceptional, they are polite, helpful, happy, and always willing to assist where they can, we recognised many of the team from last year, it was a pleasure to be re-united with them. I am not brilliant with names, great with faces. George on the main bar is someone that stands out, he is gregarious, engaging and has a natural flourish behind the bar. To all the staff, reception, restaurant greeters, cooks, the replenishment team, waiters and waitresses, bar staff, cleaners, maintenance and valets, they are all welcoming open and courteous, not remembering there names is on me, but, there are so many, I beg there forgiveness. If you want a quieter type of holiday with attentive service, good quality food and exceptional staff, clean cosy rooms, give Blue Bay Resort Hotel a try! We will be coming back, next time I will write down names and titles, it helps make memories.
A remote location but very dramatic views over the coast. Heraklion 1 hour by bus. Good, friendly atmosphere with comfortable seating, decor and lighting. We didn’t realise we were in an annexe and would have preferred to be in the hotel building. One good thing was the small pool next to the annexe buildings. Good value. Excellent level of cleanliness. Annexes were quiet. Service and staff generally were beyond normal. The pools were lovely and well maintained. Nightly live entertainment was really good. Georgia who ran the main pool bar was always lovely. She was exceptional.
