Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
The hotel was all in all very good. The staff were mostly nice, the breakfast was nice, and the pool area as well. However, the cleaning could be a bit more thorough. The view from the hotel was amaziiiing, it is worth it to stay here just by that. We aldo really liked the music quiz event held by Zizwe and Teddy!
Oh dear! This hotel is definitely not a palace. Fabulous location and views but that is where it ends. On arrival at 10.30pm we went into the garish reception area with shiny gold tiled walls and sad mosaic wonky vase pictures, very cheap looking. We were told some food had been put aside and to get a drink quickly as all inclusive drinks stop at 11pm! Our bags were taken to our rooms in the basement where we were met with the stench of rotten drains. The room door was opened and the air was thick with the smell of sewage and dampness. We immediately refused the room and headed back to reception with our cases. The lovely lady on reception immediately found another room. We headed off to this room, the smell was slightly less but still smelled! But this room was so small you could not walk along the bottom of the bed without being sideways. We opened the patio doors to a view of rubble and white tissue paper, which turned out to be coming from split soil pipe and the side of the mountain. So no view at all. So back to reception with our cases feeling totally disappointed and let down. The receptionist said she would find a 3rd room for us and suggested we eat the food and get a drink before the bar closed on us, which we did. Half an hour later we returned to reception where the night reception man told us there was nothing he could do and come back in the morning. He was rude and totally unreasonable and said we shouldn't have gone to get a drink or something to eat! By this time my husband was walking out of the hotel and going back to the airport!! After a lot of haggling our 3rd room was found. I went with my friend to view this and it was the best of the 3 but still poor, small and smelly. Not what you expected in a 4* hotel. Cases arrived in the room and not unpacked. The room was clean, however we had to keep the bathroom door shut at all times to contain the smell. The bed was not particularly comfortable, very firm and pillows so spongy they gave you a cricked neck. There was not enough room in the child size wardrobe to hang up clothing and very few drawers. Husband's clothes stayed in his case. Now to the food. Well breakfast was simple, bread, limited cereal, typical meats and cheeses and cooked eggs, sausages, tomatoes, pancakes so not too bad. Milk is not fresh and pink in colour. Lunch was by the small pool. Unfortunately they had the same menu each day and it was very limited but in a super setting looking out to sea. Now we come to dinner, several choices available but all cooked to death, bland and very repetitive and certainly not a reflection of Greek food. The best part was the self service ice cream. The food overall is poor. Evening entertainment, this was very hit and miss. Two evenings worth attending are the combined bingo and music quiz where the husband and wife duo worked so hard to make it entertaining and fun. These events had the most people attend and created a good atmosphere but as soon as it was over the bar area emptied out as all inclusive drinks ended at 11pm. The bar staff were often rude and would not serve you if you stood at the side of the horse shoe shaped bar, only front service! Not even a bottle of water would be served to you at 11.01. You could pay for any drinks after 11 but when you have paid for all inclusive why should you. There are two swimming pools at this hotel, one on the roof top giving spectacular views, but absolutely no shade but due to strong afternoon winds parasols are not suitable. The pool on the mid terrace is lovely, small, with plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas until the wind gets up. A lovely bar and self service ice-cream area. Unfortunately the walls of the pool are not clean and around the water line it's green and scummy which lets it down. This hotel is really only a 2* and is let down on so many levels. The staff try their best most go the extra mile, however this hotel needs a lot of safety improvements, bedroom doors are not fire proof as you can see light gaps around them, fire exits not labelled, many ceiling chandeliers are not connected to the ceilings so you can see the wiring, it needs properly redecorating, have an informative area to advise and book days out, a Jet2 rep to visit regularly to help advise rather than trying to do it all on an app. It is clear that this hotel chain has run out of money to make this hotel a lovely resort. Think very carefully when booking this hotel, it's fine if you just need a room to sleep in and use as a base but that's as far it's go.
Amazing experience, Hard and relaxing! Thank you!🙏🏻🙏🏻
Thank you zizue for the amazing yoga!!! Was such a nice way to open the morning amazing teacher!
we had a wonderful holiday here in late july / early August and met some lovely people and I would recommend it to anybody. The hotel has some spectacular views and scenery, its a lovely quite area with only a few shops and a couple of restaurants and couple of bars and a couple of supermarkets. we stayed in the luxury rooms with our own pool and my daughter stayed in the normal room. Dont get me wrong its lovely but it does have a few things which could be better but in general its good.
Bad points - 1 - reception abit slow on sorting things out, 2 - private pools are freezing and are very slippery to get in and out of. 3 - food is not really labelled properly if you have allergies. 4 - They need a bigger lift you can only fit two people in it or 1 person and a suitcase at once. 5 - snacks around pool were never hot 6 - bingo would be better played for money. 7 - They really need more sun shades at top pool.
Good points. 1 - food really tasty. 2 - good selection of drinks. 3 - staff really friendly and helpful. 4 - roof pool is great. 5 - Top restaurant you get free meal in is fantastic well worth it. 6 - Bottom restaurant at lunch time is great, its nice being served, nice touch. 7 - swim up rooms are great really spacious. 8 - air conditioning is amazing. 9 - TV is good you can log in to your own prime, netflix, etc. 10 - onsite shop is good and not badly priced.
The staff are so friendly and helpful but the biggest shout out goes to....
HAZEL and ARIEL that work in the lunch time restaurant they are so good and helpfull running around after you nothing is to much trouble.
WILSON who is a waiter is so nice and helpful and always willing to help you can never do enough.
DENNIS that cleans is amazing and friendly and cannot do enough for you he leaves little notes when he cleans your room which is lovely always greets you in the morning with a smile.
GIANNIS and THANASIS the bar men they are really nice guys and are absolutely amazing at there jobs they serve you fast, make you drinks differently if you ask as long as its in the all inclusive, they remember what you drink and if they see you walking up they are already pouring it.
TEDDY Is entertainment he is a top bloke really friendly always stops for a chat during the day around the pools, his music quiz and movie quiz are brilliant, get yourself involved its great fun
The main man in the restaurant is a lovely chap that greets you every morning and evening with a happy face,he is a really friendly guy.
we met some lovely people here from all walks of life, people we will remain friends with forever.
All in all it was well worth the stay and great value for money. I would highly recommend it to anybody.
