This is a lovely huge hotel. The room was lovely huge bed, cleaned daily, brilliant air con, great sea view. The hotel has a number of bars and restaurants. The pool was quite warm but has a swim up bar. Staff work very hard and are very polite. The hotel allocates sunbeds for you which is a really great idea you can change through your holiday if you wish to..The beach is nice quite rocky to get in so water shoes are needed. Lovely refreshing sea. Bar next to the beach. All drinks were great cocktails were fab. Little cafe in the lobby with cakes sandwiches hot drinks . There are cocktail bars, wine bar a tiki bar next to the wine bar which was really lovely really nice cocktails. We found all food really nice and plenty of choice. There is a spa in the hotel which looked really lovely we didnt get round to using it. We walked up to the little supermarket and pharmacy there’s bars and restaurants nearby we never used these . Would definitely recommend this hotel..
I would like to highlight the disappointment my 20 wedding guests and I have felt during our stay at this hotel between 21st until the 28th of June. We arrived as a big wedding party as I was getting married on the 25th of June. I felt so embarrassed as I had recommended this hotel to all of my guests.
Fabulous hotel in beautiful grounds. Rooms generous size kept lovely and clean. So much tasty food available any time. Staff are so attentive friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Christina, Rashan, Mehedi and ‘alcohol-free Anna’ 😂 (she knows why!) at the pool bar and Shanto for keeping us supplied with cocktails and beer at the Boulevard bar. All very attentive to my husband with walking difficulties and our anxieties about suitability of a holiday abroad were unfounded thanks to St George’s staff and the location of our room, table at meals and general consideration of his needs. Already booked for next year - must practice my Greek Christina!! Thank you all 😘
Just stayed for 10 nights in the beautiful hotel. Where to start the hotel is absolutely beautiful, grounds are very well looked after the hotel itself is spotlessly clean and give you a bit of luxury.
Staff - absolutely brilliant, they cannot do enough for you wether it been at one of the many bars or one of the eating places. There are so attentive and will do anything to help.
Rooms - we stayed in a sea/pool view room was absolutely perfect, gives you a full view of the hotel, rooms was spacious and cleaned everyday the housekeeping were fantastic. Air conditioning in the room was brilliant just what is needed after days of 38 degrees.
Food - both buffet restaurants were really good and had a good variety. Breakfast there was plenty for everyone, same goes for lunch amd dinner. The menus can been seen online give you a good idea what is available. Out of the four al la carte restaurants we used Route 66 which was really nice, big portions service was book, also went to the Asian again food was lovely and good portion sizes. Snack bar has plenty of choice and all the food freshly cooked.
Bars - Cocktail bar in reception was brilliant cocktails were fantastic. Wine bar and tiki bar offers wide range of drinks and staff are so attentive. Pool bars are busy but good selection and sunset beach bar is brilliant we had our allocated sunbed down that area, couldn't as for anymore. There is water filling stations all around the hotel.
All in all what a fantastic Hotel, couldn't recommend this place anymore.
We will definitely be returning. 😊
Stayed 28th June - 5th July. Flight was delayed 50 mins (can't be helped). Private taxi through jet2 to hotel. Arrived at hotel and check in was smooth and recvd a glass of champagne. I requested late check out prior to coming (couple weeks before). Rechecked on check in and was advised to come back day before leaving. In the room there was sandwiches in the fridge and bottled water (you are encouraged to refill water at the water stations). Rooms were clean and did the job. I requested rooms close together and they were next door. I requested memory foam pillows and they were amazing. Cleanliness of the hotel is faultless. It was absolutely spotless. The grounds and facilities were great. The outdoor snack bars turn into restaurants in the evening - genius idea. Food - stunning really enjoyed every single food and drink that i tried. If i was to return (which i hope to) i would be booking the four a la carte restaurants on arrival/ day after to ensure i visit as they get booked up quick. The order of preference for us was Asian, Italian, route 66 and Greek. But all were really nice. Sunbed allocation - not a game changer but not a stopper either. We were in c zone on the grass. Not bad but not my preference- best out of a bad bunch to choose from and we decided not to go poolside due to the lack of atmosphere around the pool. Some sunbeds around site (not just at poolside) were obviously allocated but very often not used and not available for selection, which was infuriating. Swim up bar - great idea but you had people getting drinks and sitting there creating queues. Staff - as a whole all staff were friendly and happy - there was the odd ocassion where they weren't and experienced couple of staff happy one minute and then grumpy the next. Very confusing to customers at the hotel. Safe deposit box is free of charge - a nice surprise.
Smoking - no designated smoking areas. People can light up whenever and wherever. As a non smoker I didn't want to smell the smoke.
Entertainment - the two people that do the entertainment are absolutely lovely. The entertainment is hit and miss. Really enjoyed the activities but they didnt always go ahead. - 04.07 darts and table tennis was on the entertainment guide but it never happened, which was disappointing as that was our last day and we didnt get to participate. The shows were typical AI entertainment which is what we like.
Reception - overall really good. However, i wasnt impressed with the way reception was run in terms of late check out. Before arriving, I emailed to request an extension to our room. I received a reply saying I needed to confirm when checking-in, which I did, and was told to come back on Saturday. I returned at 8:00 am on Saturday, only to be told to come back again at 7:00 pm. When I went back at 7 they told me to come back after breakfast on sunday (day of departure). It was frustrating having to keep returning instead of having a clear answer and wasting my time. Our late check out was granted but we had to change rooms. It is €60 to 4pm or €80 to 6pm. This is not guaranteed and to be honest a bit of a faff but not being picked up until 7.30pm we feel we needed it to enjoy the last day at the resort. Wasn't a big issue or spoil anything though.
We went to the waterpark at paphos. We knew you could get there by bus but we opted for taxi through the hotel. They booked us a taxi there and back. It cost €58 (2euro tip). It was via Stevie's taxis.
Private transfer home - taxi was ten minutes early. Airport was very busy with many flights. Our flight was delayed over 90 mins so our travel insurance sent us vouchers to use the AI lounge. We were due to take off at 22.40 but actually took off at 1am (Cyprus time). Bit of a nightmare but cant be helped.
Overall a lovely holiday. A few cons but so many nice touches and we will return for sure.
