The resort should not have been advertised as a 5-star hotel, as our experience did not meet that standard.
We travelled as a family of two adults and one 10-year-old child. The extra bed provided for our daughter was only the size of a small cot and was unsuitable, although it was eventually replaced after we raised the issue.
Before travelling, I emailed the hotel requesting a restaurant reservation and some simple birthday decorations for my daughter's birthday. Unfortunately, I never received a response, which was disappointing given the occasion.
Although we booked an all-inclusive package, each room was only provided with a single 1-litre plastic water bottle, which guests were expected to keep for the duration of their stay and refill at the bar. In temperatures of around 35°C, one litre between three people was simply not sufficient, meaning we were constantly having to refill the bottle.
The pool towels were also in poor condition, and staff advised that they should only be changed every three days. This did not feel appropriate for a hotel claiming to be 5-star.
The food was generally acceptable, but the vegetarian options were quite limited and lacked variety.
Overall, the hotel has the potential to become a genuine 5-star resort, but it needs to address these issues to provide the level of service and facilities that guests would reasonably expect from a hotel of that rating.
I had a message and facial from Istuan and it was a dream. A fabulous 2 hours and worth every penny. Itsuan was very professional and the treatment was amazing. Thank you!
