Cali Resort and Spa is nestled in a rugged coastal landscape within Coral Bay just 300 metres from the famous Blue-Flag Coral Bay Beach. The closest bus stop is 50 metres away which will give you easy access to the rest of the island. Paphos is 12km away and packed with plenty of historical sites, bars, restaurants and entertainment venues. Set to open in May 2024, this adult only designed hotel is a member of the Louis hotels’ elegant collection and offers guests over the age of 16 the ultimate getaway from everyday life.
Boasting a beautiful outdoor swimming pool surrounded with sun loungers, umbrellas and a pool bar – this is the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the Mediterranean weather. Make sure you visit the hotels’ Spa where you can unwind in the sauna and steam room, or enjoy a soothing massage before making your way to the relaxation area. There is also an indoor swimming pool, which is heated in the winter.
The hotels’ main restaurant serves meals in a buffet style and features show cooking stations, and a choice of indoor or outdoor seating. Looking for something a bit different? There is also a Japanese fusion restaurant available for dinner (at a fee, reservations required). For refreshments, guests can make use of the indoor bar and terrace at the lobby area, or the pool bar for some light lunch and drinks.
All rooms are complete with air conditioning throughout the summer months (May-Oct). In-room amenities include a telephone, satellite TV, free Wi-Fi, Nespresso machine, tea/coffee making facilities, turn down service, mini bar, a safety deposit box and a complimentary bottle of water on arrival and daily. The en-suite bathrooms feature a walk-in shower, toiletries, hair dryer, bathrobes and slippers. Room upgrades are available at a fee.

Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
This hotel is absolutely stunning. It’s spotless, beautifully decorated and the facilities and staff are amazing. They genuinely cannot do enough for you. Even the restaurant staff remember what room you’re in, and when I looked confused at the wine list, Adam was there instantly to help me out. I honestly cannot fault the service, cleanliness or quality of the hotel itself. The rooms are lovely, if a tad small, but beautifully decorated. Although an iron in each room would be helpful rather than having to ask for one every evening.
If this hotel were rated purely on the above, then 5 stars wouldn’t be enough. However, as a 5-star premium all-inclusive, it falls short.
Had this simply been rated as an all-inclusive hotel, my review would have been 5/5. But when you advertise yourself as premium all-inclusive, expectations are naturally much higher.
For a premium all-inclusive, I would expect things like grilled fish cooked to order, perhaps kebabs one evening, or some other variety rather than a fairly standard buffet night after night consisting of lasagne, meatballs and pasta, pizza, moussaka and an array of dried-out meats and vegetables. The salads, to be fair, were amazing — and if you wanted pizza and salad every night, you’d be very happy!
The wine included in the all-inclusive package was, unfortunately, very disappointing. The Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay were clearly very basic wines, and the rosé tasted like vinegar. The lovely restaurant manager explained that they have a great selection of wines available from the wine list — but obviously these come at an additional cost. Again, that’s fine at a normal hotel, but when you’ve paid a premium for an all-inclusive experience, I would expect a better selection to be included.
There is another restaurant, which was lovely, but you can only use it once a week. The breakfast and lunch options were absolutely fine, but unfortunately the food didn’t really get better than that.
Reading some of the other reviews, it seems I’m not the only person who felt disappointed by the food and drink offering.
Then there’s the evening entertainment. A couple of nights were genuinely entertaining, particularly the Greek night and the Dotty Duo, but the rest was pretty underwhelming. Of course, you don’t have to watch it, but because the entertainment area is right by the pool, you can hear it from your room anyway — so you may as well stay and watch while enjoying the cocktails, which, incidentally, were included and were actually very good!
Yes, we could have gone out in the evenings, but that rather defeats the point of paying for an all-inclusive holiday. I shouldn’t have to leave the hotel to find the atmosphere and variety I expected to have already paid for.
The atmosphere around the pool was also very lacking. There was music being played, but it was so quiet that it barely created any atmosphere. Perhaps a DJ playing chilled-out music during the day would make a huge difference. They did this one day and it was lovely.
On that same day, they offered a bottle of champagne with white glasses and an ice bucket — very bougie and a lovely touch — but then the bottle was €110. Again, it’s the little things that make me feel they haven’t quite understood what premium all-inclusive means. Include something like that occasionally as part of the package and suddenly it feels premium.
Another issue was that people who weren’t staying at the hotel were allowed to use the pool. On one particular day, there were a couple of girls who were being loud and rude to the staff and had brought their own food and drinks. Several complaints were made, but nothing seemed to be done until people started leaving the pool.
We did complain, and I have to say the staff went above and beyond to make us feel better and deal with our concerns. The service really was exceptional. But ultimately, these are things I feel should have been better managed when we had paid a premium price to stay at a 5-star premium all-inclusive resort.
Overall, this is a beautiful, spotless and incredibly relaxing hotel with fantastic staff and service. But if you’re expecting a true premium all-inclusive experience, with a wide choice of food, quality drinks, atmosphere and entertainment, I don’t think this quite delivers.
If you’re happy with a more basic all-inclusive offering and your priority is beautiful surroundings, cleanliness, peace and fantastic service, then absolutely go here — but expect to pay a premium for it.
For comparison, I’ve stayed at Stella Island and paid a similar price for a week. There, we had five different restaurants to choose from, five different pool bars and lunch spots, fantastic wine and much better entertainment. If you’re looking for something that feels a little more special and genuinely premium, I would choose Stella Island instead.
That being said, it was still a very relaxing holiday, and the staff deserve enormous credit for how attentive, friendly and helpful they were throughout our stay.
This was my second stay at Cali Resort & Spa within two years and once again, it was a truly beautiful experience. From the very beginning, Lilia Kalogirou made our stay incredibly special. She went far beyond what one could expect, personally taking care of so many details to make my mother’s birthday memorable. She was constantly checking that everything was perfect, going back and forth, arranging details and messaging me to make sure we were happy. Her warmth, dedication and genuine care touched me deeply. Lilia, thank you from my heart. ❤️ The resort itself is beautiful modern, elegant, immaculate and effortlessly luxurious. Everything is exceptionally well maintained, from the stunning pool to the spotless rooms and the beautiful surroundings. The food throughout the resort was excellent and the housekeeping was truly outstanding. It was especially lovely to be recognised and remembered by the wonderful people who looked after us Anju, Pujia, Sana, Iakpa and Nagi. Seeing familiar faces and being welcomed so warmly made our return feel very personal and special. Our experience at the Japanese restaurant Fika was also wonderful. The food was exceptionally delicious. We did have an issue with one steak being quite tough but Sherpa and Saru handled it with such professionalism, kindness and genuine concern. They immediately made every effort to make things right. And I cannot forget the lovely housekeeping ladies I am so sorry I did not write down your names. You went above and beyond to beautifully decorate our room and create the most thoughtful birthday surprise for my mother. It was such a beautiful gesture and one we will remember for a long time. ❤️ A special thank you as well to Mohamed, who welcomed us so warmly again. Just back from a gorgeous week at this hotel. The pool is a great size if you just want to cool off and relax or swim lengths. Very nicely decorated communal areas and the whole place is spotlessly clean. We really enjoyed the food, stayed on an all inclusive week and noted some reviews mentioned lack of variety, but I didnt eat the same thing twice (except breakfast) so unless you are picky you’ll have a good choice every evening. The salads in particular are beautiful and varied and the food quality is high. Service at the pool was great and cocktails lovely. Lots of branded drinks included which isn’t the case everywhere. I did think about deducting a star for the rooms, for a 5 star resort they are relatively small and there isn’t a huge amount of storage space if like most you travel as a couple. Our room had paint chips on the built in wardrobe and I could see where the bathroom door had been patched in, again a bit scruffy for 5 star. But the decor is tasteful and the bed large and comfortable. What set it apart for us was the staff. Everyone smiling courteous and full of chat, we felt really spoiled. Everyone was brilliant and sorry to not remember everyone’s name but Adam, Kamal and Zachariah in the restaurant made us very welcome. Overall the perfect place to spend some time relaxing as a couple (30s) and although a couple of aspects of the accommodation in particular I feel dropped below 5 star, the staff and quality of food and service bring it back up. Value for money and recommended.

The staff were incredible from start to finish, so welcoming, hardworking and genuinely efficient.
One of my favourite touches was being able to order drinks while relaxing on the sunbeds, without having to get up and go to the bar. Even the plastic glasses were really good quality and actually resembled proper cocktail glasses, rather than the tiny plastic cups you sometimes get at all-inclusive hotels.
The pool area was fantastic. The sunbeds were large, extremely comfortable and well spaced out, with plenty available for everyone.
We stayed in September and the hotel had a lovely boutique feel because it never felt overcrowded.
The pool bar menu was also far better than we expected, with beautifully made cocktails including Hugo Spritz, Aperol Spritz, Pornstar Martinis, Champagne Colader and Espresso Martinis. There was also a good selection of smoothies and iced coffees included in the all-inclusive drinks menu. The pool bar also served food during the day, including fresh salads, burgers and homemade chips.
The food deserves a special mention because it was genuinely one of the highlights of our stay. Everything tasted incredibly fresh and, from what we could see, a huge amount was prepared in-house. The hotel manager was regularly seen around the hotel, as was the head chef, which gave us the impression that there was real pride and attention to detail behind the food being served.
The pizzas were handmade and absolutely delicious, and the pasta was made in-house too. The desserts were particularly impressive, beautifully presented, fresh and with a huge variety to choose from. There was fresh fruit available at the dessert station every evening, a selection of local desserts and plenty of different options rather than the usual repetitive all-inclusive buffet choices.
There was also a fantastic selection of fresh hummus, olives, local specialities and different cheeses. The halloumi was especially delicious and seemed to be available every day, alongside a lovely selection of cheeses from around the world.
The food changed regularly throughout the week, so dinner never felt repetitive. There were pizza stations on most days and themed evenings featuring different cuisines, including Italian, Greek, Eastern and world cuisine, as well as carvery and gourmet evenings. We also tried the Asian à la carte restaurant, which was delicious and definitely worth booking. The chefs are working hard and are visible by the cooking stations and were super friendly and happy to chat to guests.
What really stood out was the quality of the dining experience itself. The restaurant has beautiful, high-quality furniture and décor, so it felt much more like dining in a lovely restaurant than sitting in a typical hotel buffet or canteen. We actually looked forward to eating there every evening. The wine was also very good, with blush rosé and white wine available, and we were even welcomed with a bottle of red wine in our room. The staff in the dining areas are all incredible, friendly and so hard working.
The hotel itself is beautifully designed, with gorgeous décor and artwork throughout. There were so many thoughtful little touches that made it feel more luxurious, including a beach bag and beach towels in the room, evening turndown service with chocolates, and a pillow menu. The bed was huge and incredibly comfortable too.
A particularly lovely touch for us was the little feeding station for the hotel cats, where guests can leave food for them. We loved seeing the cats around the hotel and thought it was lovely that the hotel had made a designated space for them.
We didn’t manage to catch everyone’s names, but Sushil deserves a special mention. He was incredibly friendly, hardworking and excellent at his job.
Another lovely example of the staff going above and beyond was the gentleman from the concierge team who kindly repaired our broken suitcase wheels at the end of our holiday. He didn’t have to do that at all, but was so kind and helpful and saved us a lot of hassle.
We also booked a fun excursion through GetYourGuide rather than TUI and found it considerably better value, so that’s worth looking into if you’re planning any trips while staying here.
We visited in September and the weather was gorgeous around 30°C or more every day so it was a fantastic time to visit. Also worth noting, no mosquitoes bites for us at all, no wasps etc. just beautiful dragonflies around the pool.
Overall, we had such a wonderful holiday. The combination of beautiful surroundings, fantastic food, comfortable facilities and, above all, genuinely lovely staff made this somewhere we would absolutely return to. It felt like a hotel that really cared about the experience it was giving its guests, and the little details throughout our stay made a big difference.

We were really looking forward to our stay and it surpassed expectations. As so many others have written, it is the staff that make this hotel great. It’s also lovely that it is quite small and quiet.
The food is outstanding, even for coeliacs (special mention for chef Kris for his help with this). Fiki restaurant is a must and again was able to accommodate gluten free requirements.
The lifeguards are so helpful, constantly looking out for people who need help with putting up umbrellas or repositioning them as the shade moves.
The waiter service by the pool is excellent and there were plenty of beds though the ones on the pool are snapped up early. We actually found the others more convenient to get in and out of without dropping things in the water!
Everything is kept spotless and on a particularly hot day the cool indoor pool was a welcome refresher. Our sightseeing plans were set aside because it was so much hotter than we’d expected but that just means we might have to go back at a cooler time of year!
