Wyndham Garden Hoi An Cua Dai

This is my actual review of the Wyndham Garden. I deleted my original review as I was pressured to edit my review that a member of staff had asked me to write while at the pool because I was highlighting all issue with the beach (see below). I really disliked the practice of being asked to edit my review, and this is something the hotel and Trip Advisor should look in to. It is a real shame as the hotel is very nice, but honest reviews must be allowed.

The hotel itself is very is very nice in terms of decor, both inside and out. The staff are very welcoming, both in reception, at breakfast (only meal we had there), and in and around the hotel.

We had two interconnected rooms, one with a good sized double bed and the other with singles, all very comfortable. Both had balconies with "sea views"... Which leads us to the main issues.

Opposite the hotel is a construction site where the new Marriott is being built, so prettying noisy and dusty.

And the beach by the hotel, and for quite a stretch in both directions, is also under construction. Apparently they are trying to fix sand erosion so are laying concrete slabs under the sand to stop it washing away. Someone said it might be going on for a few months, but honestly who knows. If you are coming hoping for walk to beach access then you will be disappointed.

That said, the hotel do provide a free shuttle to another nice beach area, An Bang, I'll add photos of that, and they provide free beds and towels, which is good. Also the pool is a decent size and not too busy, with a good number of beds and free towels too.

Breakfast is great, with a large buffet of hot and cold food, both local food, pastries, cakes and fruits.

As well as the shuttle to the beach there is also a shuttle to the old town too, which is really handy.

I would recommend this place, but some honesty about the beach situation is needed, and I would take other reviews with a pinch of salt as they could have been done under pressure from staff unfortunately.

The experience we had at this hotel was actually 6 stars!! 🌟 The staff are all beautiful, friendly people who really look after you. My son got very sick while we were there, we had to get a doctor out and the staff went above and beyond to help. Everyday they asked after him. To top it all off, he forgot his headphones at the hotel when we checked out, and then they arranged a courier to deliver them back to us. They were incredibly responsive by email and WhatsApp, replying within minutes if not seconds!

Furthermore, the room was great, the location and free shuttle service were excellent, the buffet breakfast was delicious, and the pool was very pleasant.

We absolutely loved our stay here!
