- Da Nang Mikazuki Japanese Resorts and Spa

Thanks to Mother Nature, Da Nang was given a beautiful tranquil bay, where locate the Mikazuki Da Nang Resorts & Spa. On the areas of 13 hectares, the resort boasts a variety of amazing and attractive services which offer you genuine experiences of Japanese culture quintessence. Being built and operated by the Mikazuki Group, which currently has four big hospitality properties, golf clubs and entertainment facilities in Japan, the resort has its advantages to bring to you a true experience of their cultural sophistication. With the concept of where heaven and earth converge, the rhythm of life begins, the resort was designed base on four main elements: Sun – Hinode Villas, Moon – Mikazuki Hotel, Waves– Nami Seaside Restaurant, and Sea – Water Park 365. This is also the idea for how we operate the business, it is year-round activities. Laid-back and let us show you around!
Hinode Villa (48 rooms) offers an ideal setting for relaxation. Our accommodation places you right in the middle of the Vietnamese picturesque landscaping. You will love it right the moment you enter the room which is elegantly designed in bold Japanese identity décor and state-of-the-art amenities.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
My family recently stayed at the Ryokan Villa at Mikazuki Da Nang, and unfortunately the service did not match the premium price or the 5-star standard we expected.
-Housekeeping was one of the biggest disappointments. We stayed for two nights, but turndown service was provided only once. When I asked about it, the housekeeping staff said they assumed it wasn’t necessary because we were in the room. Our villa was cleaned only once during the entire stay, and even then the cleaning was very superficial.
-Room service and communication between departments were also poorly managed. There were five adults in our villa, yet when we ordered room service, only two sets of cutlery were delivered. Even the Assistant Manager, who personally brought the bill for my husband to sign and clearly saw all five guests, never asked if we needed additional utensils. We only realized the problem after the food arrived.
-Breakfast at the lounge was another disappointment. The selection was very limited and almost identical every day, with only pho and udon as the main hot dishes. On one morning, the staff cleared away our plates and even removed our chopsticks and forks without asking if we had finished. One staff member promised to bring us new chopsticks but instead stood chatting with other guests, leaving us waiting. The lack of communication and coordination among the restaurant staff was obvious.
-At check-out, there was no manager to thank us or say goodbye. In Japanese hospitality, even a simple farewell is an important part of the guest experience, but here the service felt indifferent from beginning to end.
My husband is Japanese, and he was especially disappointed because he expected the Mikazuki brand to reflect the hospitality standards found in Japan. Instead, many staff members could not communicate in Japanese and appeared undertrained and unprepared. When even managers demonstrate poor organization and lack attention to detail, it is difficult to believe the service quality will improve.
-I would also like to recognize the team at Karan Restaurant, who were truly professional and welcoming throughout our visit. The restaurant manager went above and beyond by helping us prepare the dipping sauces and explaining the dishes in detail, making our dining experience much more enjoyable.
-The spa staff were also excellent. They were warm, attentive, and highly skilled, providing one of the best service experiences we had during our stay.
Overall, this resort does not deserve its 5-star rating based on the level of service we experienced, and it certainly does not offer value for the price.
We had an otherwise pleasant stay, but our trip ended on a very disappointing note. After checking our room safe before departure, my we believe that valuables were missing. We cannot say with certainty what happened, but the experience left us feeling uneasy. We reported our concern to the hotel and were disappointed that we did not leave with peace of mind.
For a luxury hotel, guests expect to feel completely confident about the security of their valuables. This experience overshadowed our stay. We hope the hotel continues to review its security procedures and takes guest concerns seriously.
Na is very nice and professional to teach us how to make the Matcha. It tastes good. Highly recommend to try when you have vocation at Mikazuki Hotel.
We booked the villa for 3 days 2 nights. Wonderful services, thanks Uyen taking care of the family and assist us with any requests, questions and needs. We enjoyed the villa a lot, especially the pool and very spacious rooms and good bedding!
One thing we would suggest to include some plates, bowls, and cutlery in the villa.
We loved this resort. It's very opulent, but also very family friendly. The wrist bands are such an excellent way to access all areas and for your older kids to be able to free range around the place safely and happily. A special mention to our villa host Thi. She was always ready to answer any questions and to help us out. She also was extremely helpful in booking a medical appointment and liasing with the staff there on our behalf. Thanks a lot Thi, from the Gordon family.
