Da Nang Mikazuki Japanese Resorts and Spa

Overall it was a great stay - the waterpark facilities, spa and restaurants were great! However, the biggest disappointment was the service level at the kids club. There was no sign-in and out of the kids club but that was not the main issue. The key issue was the staff at the kids club allowed my 5yo daughter to leave the kids club on her own! Fortunately we were still having breakfast and she managed to find her way to us. I cannot imagine if we were no longer at the restaurant and she cannot find us. This is a huge disappointment and I will never let my daughter go to the kids club again.

My room number is 1507, when I checked-in. the Asst Duty Manager, Thao and Day Time Duty Manager suspected me illegal entry to Vietnam although I showed them my passport with chop of Immigration officer and date of stay allowed, e-visa and Pre-arrival information submission for visitor. They just kept me waiting a long time for the checking result from Immigration Department. Besides, they did not give me any dining vouchers until the restauarant waitress told me I should have a booklet of vouchers. When I checked out they did not give me any invoice.

We stayed at Da Nang Mikazuki as part of our family vacation and anniversary celebration. The resort itself is beautiful, and the water park is a fantastic attraction for both adults and children. The facilities are well maintained, and there is plenty to keep families entertained.

Unfortunately, our stay got off to a disappointing start. Our room was not ready even though it was mentioned in my early communication which delayed the beginning of our vacation.

The most concerning experience occurred at the lazy river. When I asked a lifeguard where I could get a float, I was directed to different locations without success. The interaction left me feeling as though I was not being taken seriously, and I found it unprofessional. I reported the incident because I believe every guest deserves to be treated with courtesy and respect.

To the hotel’s credit, the situation was handled much better afterward. The lifeguard personally apologized to me twice, and I accepted the apology. I also specifically asked management not to punish the employee, as my goal was never disciplinary action but rather to encourage better communication and professionalism.

I would also like to recognize Ms. Hang, Assistant Waterpark Manager, for taking the time to investigate the incident thoroughly. She provided a thoughtful response, acknowledged the communication breakdown, explained the corrective steps being taken, and invited my family to enjoy a complimentary private Escape Room experience as a goodwill gesture. I appreciated the sincerity of her follow-up and the hotel’s willingness to learn from the experience.

Overall, this is a resort with excellent facilities and tremendous potential. My hope is that the management continues to invest in staff communication, proactive guest relations, and consistent service standards so that every guest enjoys an experience that matches the quality of the property itself.

Despite the service issues we encountered, I appreciate the efforts made to resolve them and wish the team continued success.
