Had a wonderful stay! The room was spotless and well-equipped. A huge shoutout to our butler Minnie — she was incredibly thoughtful and attentive from check-in to check-out, always quick to respond and happy to help with anything. Felt just like home. We stayed at Anantara Mai Khao Phuket Villas for three nights, and the experience completely lived up to the impression I had formed from my previous stays at Anantara: that it represents resort hospitality at its very best.

One of the first things that impressed us was the scale of the property and the beautiful tropical environment created by its exceptionally well-maintained greenery. The villas are spread across a large resort, yet getting around never feels inconvenient. Staff members would often proactively suggest taking us back to our villa by buggy, rather than simply waiting for us to ask.

Our villa itself was spacious, immaculately clean, and carefully maintained down to the smallest details. The private pool was one of the highlights. Just as important was the quiet space around it, where there was really nothing unnecessary — simply a place to meditate, read a book, enjoy a drink, or do absolutely nothing. That simplicity made the experience feel even more luxurious.

The abundance of tropical plants, together with Phuket’s climate, creates a genuine sense of being somewhere far removed from everyday life. For anyone looking for both luxury and a real feeling of escape, this is exactly the kind of resort I would recommend.

What impressed us equally was the staff. Whenever we passed members of the team around the resort, we were greeted with smiles and friendly greetings. Their attitude always seemed positive and willing, but never forced.

Another detail that meant a great deal to us was how well information was shared among the staff. We had booked a Thai cooking class in advance, and not only the front desk but also the restaurant staff already knew about it. It may sound like a small thing, but it made us feel that our stay was being personally looked after rather than treated as just another reservation. That kind of attention creates a genuine sense of being a special guest.

The restaurant staff were particularly warm and approachable, and throughout the resort we felt a good balance between professionalism and friendliness.

During our stay, there was honestly nothing that made us think, “This should have been better.” The spaciousness, cleanliness, private pool, tropical surroundings, attentive service, and sense of privacy all came together extremely well.

Most importantly, this is a resort that gives you something increasingly difficult to find: the luxury of simply slowing down. You can sit beside your own pool, read, meditate, have a drink, look at the surrounding greenery, and feel completely removed from ordinary life.

After staying here, my conclusion is very simple.

I would come back.
