Novotel Phuket Kata Avista

This is a beautiful resort with the most lovely staff. Nothing was too much for them and we were very appreciative of their hard work and how kind they were. We had some illness/health issues arise and the staff were very kind and helped with getting a doctor and doing what they could to help.

The pools are lovely- the swim up bar is fab again with such nice staff! It’s a really good hotel for kids. We were upgraded to a family room and my daughter (4yo) was thrilled to see a little tent, some toys, a welcome pack and even a little step stool in the bathroom for her. There is a great kids club and good choices for them food wise.

The rooms are really nice but I do need to add that there seems to be an issue with the aircon throughout. We’re not sure why, but the humidity really affects the AC and our room was absolutely dripping with condensation- even the bedding and walls were wet. Other family members medication packets disintegrated from being so damp. I was fortunate enough to get a dehumidifier for our room which I had on 24/7 and was emptying the tank every few hours as it was full of water. It seemed to be a hotel-wide issue and should be looked into as it’s not safe in terms of making the floors slippery. We were there for 10 days and if I hadn’t been provided with the dehumidifier I would have had to move us. But am grateful to the staff for helping us.

The only other thing that I would warn people of is that there is a huge amount of steps. We were with my elderly dad who ended up being quite unwell/weak and we found it very hard to get him around. There’s steps into everything, inside and outside, and he couldn’t access the main pool as it was up so many stairs. So that’s something to take note of/be prepared for. It’s a great workout if you’re able bodied! The hotel itself is atop a very steep hill so use the tuk tuks to get around.

Again, the staff should be commended for their excellent friendly service and for how caring they were. Thank you 🙏🏽

It was an amazing stay and staff was very attentive. We stayed in two rooms and our rooms were consistently clean. One of the staff Bam, she helped us from the beginning!! She explained what kind of activities that they have for kids and every information we needed for the hotel and the area:) When my dad lost his glasses in the car, Bam called the driver speaking Thai and she arranged to get his glasses back. She was kind and very informative. Thank you Bam! Another staff member, Kelly she helped us to reserve Thai massage in the hotel. Thanks to her we had an amazing massage! Lastly, Grace helped us to checkout. She made a smooth checkout and it was very fast!
In conclusion, I highly recommend the hotel and all of the staff are all kind and attentive. I love their energy and made our trip unforgettable :))
