Centara Kata Resort is a modern style hotel on the beautiful island of Phuket. It enjoys stunning views of the surroundings and rolling hills in the backdrop. Just 600 metres away from the white sands and shallow waters of Kata Beach, it is within easy walking distance and on the way, you will find a string of shops, bars and restaurants.
The Facilities at Centara Kata Resort:
The resort offers three swimming pools, one complete with a waterslide, jacuzzi and swim up pool bar. There is also a separate children's pool for the little ones to splash around. If you feel like venturing outside the hotel then a tour desk is available providing the chance to book a range of activities including island hopping, snorkelling and family-friendly treks.
With two restaurants, in room dining, and two pool bars - you are not short of places to refuel. The main restaurant specialises in international and Thai cuisine, whilst the bars offer snacks throughout the day, a range of soft drinks and cocktails.

Guestrooms are designed with comfort in mind and feature a large living space including a balcony or terrace. The rooms can be made up of a king size or twin beds. Its kind of OK
On a positive side, location is great and lot of shops and restaurants around. One hour drive from airport and can cost between 600 to 1000 BAHT. Kids facilities and swimming pools are nice, breakfast is good enough and fairly reasonable. Beach is 15 minutes walk and there is free shuttle from hotel. Ngek in restaurant is lovely lady & lady in kids play area was kind. Other than that nothing special we noticed during our 5 nights stay.
Customer care was fairly ok and hardly smile. One example, gentlemen called Waipon helped 1st time to inflate floaters while 2nd time he refused and asked my wife to use her mouth and inflate it. Huge confusion on 1st day where half board definition was not known by most of them and kept insisting to pay for breakfast while half board should include breakfast & one meal. Dont book directly from their website to avoid confusion. I would only return if there is no other options available around
Great Stay at the Centara
Cannot praise the service and facilities enough fantastic, if you have a family with multiple rooms this is the place. Rooms are clean and comfortable, with good aircon. The pool area is excellent for everyone including a fun park for the young one's. Restaurant was excellent and the breakfast buffet was a great way to start the day. Communication is excellent and they have events everyday if you choose including traditional Thai dancing or the cabaret at dinner. All in all was a fantastic family holiday - thankyou to Centara. Ps: Beach is about 15min walk.

Amazing holiday resort
Had a wonderful time. Staff is so friendly and helpful. Child friendly and alot of activities for the kids at the resort. There pool parties was phenomenal and there cocktails pit of this world. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.
Best holiday yet!
I had such a wonderful stay at this hotel. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel genuinely welcome and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. My room was spotless, comfortable, and had everything I needed to relax. The food was excellent, and the overall atmosphere was peaceful and inviting. Thank you to the whole team for making my stay so enjoyable—I can’t wait to come back!
Upgrade needed
Staff are amazing. The hotel does need an upgrade. It is a nice hotel just a bit of technical. I could not fault the amazing staff. Fab breakfasts. Aoy,Jay and coach were amazing
