Wyndham Grand Phuket Kalim Bay

The front disc manager this Mrs Arprn was a perfect. she help my family in the hotel and she was very very nice person and helpful.

The hotel is located far away on top of a mountain, and the facilities are in very poor condition and extremely unclean.

1. The bed sheets and towels were washed on the roadside without proper washing or drying machines. The towels were yellow, stained, and had an unpleasant smell.
2. The bathroom was extremely dirty. The housekeeping staff provided very poor service and paid no attention to cleanliness. The bed, bathroom, and all facilities were unclean. Lizards could be seen throughout the property, including around the lobby.
3. There was no proper pest or reptile control. Mosquitoes were everywhere.
4. I found a lizard inside my private villa, on my clothes.
5. At around midnight, near my villa and the motorcycle parking area, we encountered a black snake in the middle of the road, very close to us. It was one of the most terrifying experiences of my life.
6. The bathtub in the bathroom and the private outdoor pool were dirty, and the pool water was cold.
7. The bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable.
8. There was constant noise from vehicles using the roads leading to the villas.
9. I left a cake outside my villa for housekeeping to remove, but the housekeeping team ignored it and left it there for two days without any concern.

I genuinely do not recommend this hotel to anyone.

I filed an official complaint with Booking.com, and the investigation is still ongoing. I also raised my concerns directly with the hotel, but they showed little concern and kept justifying everything by saying, “This is nature in Phuket.” That is simply not an acceptable excuse. I booked a five-star hotel, not a jungle.

This was the first time in my life that I saw a real snake so close to me, right beside my villa. Finding a lizard on my clothes made the situation even worse. Despite all of this, the hotel treated these incidents as if they were completely normal and failed to take them seriously.

The only compensation they offered was a complimentary spa treatment and breakfast. I clearly explained that I did not want these compensations because they do not make up for the psychological distress, emotional trauma, and physical discomfort we experienced.

Before paying to stay here, I strongly advise everyone to carefully check the cleanliness and condition of the villa. Otherwise, you may lose your money just as I did. I booked the highest room category available—a private ocean-view pool villa—and after the snake incident, I was forced to book another hotel immediately for my own safety. As a result, I had to bear all the additional financial losses myself.

I do not recommend this hotel, especially for guests who have a phobia of insects or reptiles, or for those who value cleanliness and pay attention to detail. Peace of mind is the most important part of any vacation, and unfortunately, this hotel completely ruined mine. My holiday was overshadowed by stress, fear, and disappointment because of everything we experienced.
