Novotel Phuket Kamala Beach provides the perfect beachfront location for a quiet and relaxing stay, while still being within walking distance to the centre of Kamala and just a 15 minute ride away from Patong. Easily accessible from Phuket International Airport, which is just 24 kms away, the resort is also in close proximity to a number of other attractions including Phuket Fantasea, Laem Sing & Surin Beach, as well as a 30-minute drive from Phuket Town.
Pamper yourself with a visit to the spa, which offers massages, body treatments and facials. You can take advantage of recreational amenities such as an outdoor pool, a steam room and a fitness centre. This hotel also features complimentary wireless Internet access, concierge services and gift shops/newsstands.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
A Wonderful Stay at Novotel Phuket Kamala Beach
From the moment my mother and I arrived at Novotel Phuket Kamala Beach, we felt genuinely welcomed and cared for.
A special thank you to Beam and Dipu, who were incredibly kind and helpful throughout our stay. Beam was especially sweet and made sure we got our room as soon as possible. Whenever she wasn't there, Dipu always made sure we were comfortable and everything was taken care of. The manager also personally came to meet us and reassure us that everything would be fine, which was a lovely touch.
Our Ocean View Room was the golden part of the stay. My mother cannot walk for long distances, so being able to simply sit in our room, relax and enjoy the beautiful ocean view without having to go anywhere was perfect. The beach was literally just a few steps away, so she could easily walk down and enjoy it too. The swimming pool was also wonderful.
The breakfast spread was fantastic, with so much variety, and all the staff were constantly making sure everything was fine. What made it even more special was that our conversations with Beam, Dipu and the team genuinely felt like conversations with friends rather than hotel staff.
We did go out and explore Phuket and visit a few markets, but somehow the hotel started feeling like home. After being out, we would actually look forward to coming back, sitting in our room, looking at the ocean and simply relaxing. That feeling of comfort and warmth is something we will truly remember.
On my mother's birthday, the team also made special arrangements for her to cut a cake, which created a beautiful memory for both of us.
I would definitely recommend Novotel Phuket Kamala Beach, especially for families travelling with elderly parents. The location, ocean view, beach and, most importantly, the people made this a very special trip for us.
And yes, Beam was best! ❤️

Our stay at Novotel Phuket Kamala Beach was simply beyond all expectations. We have travelled to many places, but the warmth, professionalism and genuine kindness we experienced here made our stay truly special.
There is honestly nothing we could fault. From the housekeeping team, who made sure everything was perfect every day, to the reception, restaurant and all the little details throughout our stay – everything reflected people who genuinely care about their guests.
A very special and heartfelt thank you to Pop and her wonderful colleagues at the reception. Your professionalism, beautiful smiles and genuine kindness made such a strong impression on us. From the very first moment, you made us feel welcome, and that is something we will carry with us.
A huge thank you to Charlie and her colleagues in the restaurant. My sister is vegan, and the way you took her dietary needs into consideration was truly wonderful. You were attentive, helpful and went the extra mile to make sure she had good options and felt completely included. It was clear that it was not simply about serving food – it was about making her feel cared for and welcome. ❤️

Location is amazing, right on the beach ⛱️ Rooms and service was outstanding and staff very friendly and attentive. Rooms cleaned to a very high standard.
Only short fall was the dinners, very hit and miss considering paying beach club prices.
The location of Novotel Phuket Kamala Beach is excellent, with a beautiful beachfront setting and easy access to the beach. However, my overall experience was mixed.
Unfortunately, the food quality was disappointing. The pineapple fried rice was extremely salty, the chicken tasted raw and unpleasant, and the papaya salad was very poor. The garlic was not properly chopped, and I found whole pieces of garlic in the dish. When I complained, I was offered a discount, but I declined and requested better food instead. However, they did not replace the food, and there was no satisfactory resolution to the issue.
We also did not receive the complimentary birthday cake because my actual birthday differs from my official date of birth. The hotel was also unable to provide airport transfer because they did not have a suitable car seat for my toddler.
Overall, I felt there were too many excuses and that we were not made to feel particularly welcome. I have stayed at other Novotel properties and have never experienced this kind of service. I also hope the hotel can clarify whether there are any issues affecting the experience of Indian guests, as I did not feel particularly comfortable during my stay.
I would recommend the hotel mainly for its excellent beachfront location, but I would not expect a high level of food quality or service.
One very positive highlight was InterContinental Phuket Resort, which is conveniently accessible from Novotel via the beach. We enjoyed a beautiful sunset there with excellent food and genuinely warm hospitality. Both the food and staff were amazing.
I hope Novotel takes this feedback constructively and improves its food quality and guest service.
