Hyatt Regency Phuket

We stayed 4 nights at the Hyatt Regency Phuket, booked through Hyatt Privé, to celebrate my mom’s birthday. We arranged an airport transfer through the hotel, and the driver was punctual with a very comfortable car. Check-in was handled by Jie Jie, who welcomed us with a drink for the whole family - a lovely start to the stay.

We reserved 3 rooms - one Twin with Ocean View and two Kings with Ocean View - and the spaciousness was immediately impressive, at 516 sq ft (about 48 sqm) each. Since we were there celebrating my mom’s birthday, we were impressed to receive a welcome amenity with a mini cake, sparkling wine along with a special note acknowledging the occasion! The room itself was comfortable, we had amazing sleep every night. The lights were too dim but we could request more lamps to make the room brighter. The bathroom was spacious and clean with Pharmacopia toiletries.

Getting around the resort was easy thanks to the buggy service, which was reliable and quick to arrive whenever we needed one. The drivers made the experience even better -Mr. First was incredibly kind, and Mr. Kim eventually learned our room number by heart, anticipating exactly where we needed to go without us even asking.

The staff throughout the resort really elevated our stay. Lee at the breakfast restaurant took the time to chat with us each morning, asking about our plans and following up the next day on how our tour went - such a thoughtful touch. The breakfast selection itself was fantastic, with a great mix of Thai and Western options - my dad looked forward to it every single day. Zai at reception was extremely efficient, coordinating our restaurant reservations and arranging things with housekeeping on our behalf.

Dining was our favorite part of the trip. Casa Boho was wonderful, and Mizu Teppanyaki was especially memorable - the show was entertaining, and they even bring out a real katana for photos, which was really fun! Chef Alex and our waitress Toon were both excellent hosts. Casa Boho also hosts Ladies Night on Thursdays, which the women in our group thoroughly enjoyed - the cocktails were high quality and the views were breathtaking. We also loved their Tres Leches cake!

The resort itself is beautifully maintained, with a stunning infinity pool and beach access (tide-dependent). The gym is open 24 hours. I only wish it was bigger but it was clean and had everything you need for a basic workout. The concierge was also very efficient as she help us arrange a private car to move around the island.

My one suggestion for improvement is the arrival experience. After our airport transfer, there was no staff member waiting to greet us or open the car door - the driver was left to unload our suitcases on his own, and no one directed us on whether to wait or head straight to check-in. We noticed this same gap with other arrivals during our stay, particularly for Grab drop-offs. Since first impressions matter, this feels like an easy opportunity for the hotel to improve.

But overall we had an amazing stay at this resort and we’ll definitely be back!

I have a wonderful stay here. Hotel is beautiful,atmosphere is relaxing and family friendly. Also food is delicious. What impressed me most is Marine Center, which offers marine activities education and art workshops. Nadia who takes care of the centers , also she is marine biologist very friendly, funny and she made experience even more enjoyable. I was truly impressed and would definitely love to come back
