Sand Sea Beach Resort

The hotel has a perfect location, right on a beautiful beach and close to all the action. The night market is just around the corner. The rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean, and the hotel grounds with the small pool are beautifully designed and well maintained. The breakfast offers something for everyone. Freshly prepared eggs are available in a variety of styles, along with pancakes, a selection of fresh fruits, and different fruit juices. What really stands out, however, is the staff. They were always attentive, anticipated every wish, and consistently went above and beyond to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. Highly recommended!

We arrived to celebrate our wedding anniversary at Sand Sea and were greeted with big smiles at reception and welcomed in by the manager who told us “ sorry yiu are being moved to ours sister hotel because we have construction issues so you can’t have your room .” We were suprised as our friends had stayed there the week before and said there were two painters on one side of the hotel but it was not causing any issue . Our room was on the opposite side of hotel . I queried this and she said they had overbooked actually ? We said this was not our problem as we had reserved our room 10 months ago . The manager then said she would give us a voucher for lunch and a better room at the sister hotel .She showed us the sister hotel which was 4 km away and had no beach access and was on a busy main road. We said this was not acceptable because we required beach access and wanted to be walking distance to Lamai beach road for restaurants etc. We were then told we could find our own hotel and seek the money from our travel agent???

This went back and forth for 45 minutes . The manager then said Ok you can have your room at this hotel . We were very unhappy and told her so . We met another couple who had a similar experience.

It was a shame that our visit started in this manner because we actually liked the hotel . The rest of the staff team were friendly and service was good. It’s a small shabby chic place with a good breakfast , The rooms are big and ours had two bathrooms. The bed was comfy. Location is great, 5 mins walk to Lamai beach road, We ate at Kanagroo , Sala Thai and Top Ten Bbq.

The hotel for us is a STRONG 9.5 out of 10!!! The staff 10 out of 10 so friendly & helpful.. The rooms 10 out 10 spacious, clean and secure.. The drinks a little pricey at the bar & the breakfast 7 out of 10 (could be hotter) but the omelettes deserve 10 out of 10..The location is perfect on the beach but not in the hustle & bustle so perfect for families and only a short walk from the on beach bars and activities. Only 5min walk from the Lamai night market perfect.. and a 1min walk from the nearest 7/11! Would highly recommend this hotel.
