When we go through life's great waves alternated by strong currents it is an invitation to dance our way through. Believing in the importance of finding the rhythm of your own unique beat, we at Sea Dance are passionate about creating a space where you can let yourself go, express yourself freely, and unwind amidst the tropical island breeze and dancing waves along one of Koh Samui's secret and secluded beaches.
Captivated by the gentle and healing vibe of Koh Samui, restaurateur Poy Booncham and his partner decided to buid their own tropical home as an complementary residence to their cosmopolitan life in Dubai. Inspired by the island's harmonious blend of lush tropical nature, pristine beaches and friendly people, Poy felt compelled to create a tranquil haven that offered travellers a tropical getaway.
Take advantage of recreation opportunities such as an outdoor pool or take in the view from a terrace and a garden. This hotel also features complimentary wireless Internet access, concierge services and babysitting (surcharge). Guests can catch a ride to nearby destinations on the local area shuttle (surcharge).
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
This is a fabulous place. The staff are fantastic special thanks to Poy who looked after us so well. Definitely recommend BBQ evening and the cocktails! Amazing views a real hidden treasure. Thank you 🌴🥥☀️
Koh Samui can be overwhelming and busy. A lot of resorts are on busy beaches. Sea Dance is a little slice of quiet on a little beach. The staff are super friendly
Wow, what a find. Such a quiet, calm resort. No crowds. Well away from the main road, so no noise, but within easy walking distance to shops, restaurants and massages. Beach has only one other resort on it and has rocky bluffs each end so no through traffic. Starf are super friendly and engaging. Really felt at home here. The food is excellent too. We'll be back I'm sure. Big thanks to the staff and Yo😊
We came here early August and didnt want to leave. The staff, the food, the location was excellent for us. The room was great, comfortable and quiet, the shower was nice being part outside. The beach was nice with the rocks out the front, it added character plus probably protecting it from the waves, also with only 1 resort next door meant not many people on it. We would love to come back, maybe at a different time tho.
We absolutely loved our week long stay at SeaDance, and certainly didn’t want to leave! It’s a small, chilled, beautiful, authentic boutique resort with a genuine friendly feel - all of the staff are so personable and kind, and take the time to get to know you and your preferences. The gardens look and smell amazing, frangipani, hibiscus, rangoon creeper, palm trees, herb gardens, orchids - beautifully maintained; each room perfectly private - we shared a 2 bed family villa with private pool. Immaculately clean, well stocked, air conditioned, high ceilings, very spacious - note: the rooms are physically separate (downstairs and upstairs with outside stairs - upstairs had incredible sea views) which worked well for us with teens that could be left alone.
Food incredible at the restaurant (which has fabulous beach and pool views), pool bar with seats in the water, fringed with beautiful palm trees, literally right on the beach. Massage can be booked in a tree house next to the pool (fabulous 1 hour Thai massage, best ever). Quiet chilled vibes, soooo relaxing. Again, perfectly clean in all communal areas.
As you’ll see from other reviews, the beach is coarse sand and rocky, which looks beautiful but isn’t for sunbathing (also so hot!) There is a hotel kayak and paddleboard you can use, but getting out/in over the rocks at low tide was a little tricky. If Sea dance/ Saii were able to, a little jetty here would be so welcome for easier sea access. When we were there there was only 1 kayak and 1 paddle board, it would be great to have a few more, and some snorkel masks to borrow too. Due to the location, the beach and sea were always so quiet, it’s a peaceful gem of a location away from the chaos of the rest of Samui which was far busier than I’d realised. It was always such a pleasure to return to after a busy day or night out exploring.
We used Grab app (like Uber) to get taxi to Fisherman’s village (about 10 mins away) on a couple of nights, and booked day trips via Get Your Guide app (which was brilliant, they picked us up and dropped us back to Sea Dance).
Teens (& I) loved the 7-11 at the end of the road, 5 min walk.
Thank you so much to the team at Sea Dance for making our stay so special - they truly make it with their Thai hospitality and kindness.
Tip jar is on the restaurant front desk, this gets shared across all the staff (including cleaners, gardeners, maintenance, service) each month, so do save some to show your appreciation on leaving :)
