Very nice resort. It is really worth it. The beach is small and you can swim quietly however is not that deep, sometimes you can even walk to the island in front. Also note that it is not possible to walk by the beach all the way to Chaweng Beach. Despite I walked many times to the center, recommendation is to take a cab, it is not an easy 10-15 walk like described in most places.
We had a wonderful experience at this hotel! A special thanks to Khai for providing truly exceptional service throughout our stay. He was extremely kind, helpful, and attentive, making our time here unforgettable. Employees like him deserve full recognition, a well-earned bonus, or even a raise! Highly recommended.

So polite, so attentive and adding small details to our stay that just made our experience truly exceptional. It was incredible, beautiful and an experience that’ll we’ll never forget, ever. I can’t imaging any hotel anywhere in the world being better than this. To anyone thinking about staying here just do it, you won’t regret it. We stayed at Anantara Lawana for our first visit to Thailand, and it really couldn’t have been a better experience.
From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional. From the front desk to every team across the hotel, nothing ever felt like too much trouble and everyone made us feel incredibly welcome.
A special mention has to go to Fredrick, the manager, who helped me with my local running routes. Coming back to find a handwritten note with directions and recommendations was such a thoughtful and personal touch.
Areeya also went above and beyond for us on several occasions and was always so friendly, polite and helpful.
Irene and the breakfast team deserve a mention too. Breakfast was incredibly busy every morning, but they always had a smile, took the time to chat and made us feel welcome every single day.
The hotel itself is just as impressive as the staff. Beautiful surroundings, a lovely private beach and a fantastic location and around five minutes by taxi from the airport, with Chaweng’s main restaurants and bars just a short journey in the other direction.
Anantara Lawana is somewhere we would highly recommend to anyone visiting Koh Samui. A beautiful hotel made even better by the people who work there.
